Lets face it no one wants to have to attend a DUI class, but I have to say this one was outstanding in my opinion. I called around to other schools in the area and this one actually made me feel like a person instead of a number. They answered all the questions I had, were very patient with me and helped me right away in getting a license i could use to drive. The instructors I had were both informative and kept the class lively. Yes the building is a little older and could use some upgrades but these guys have been around for years from what i understand and it shows in how knowledgeable they are. Ill recommend them in a heartbeat if i ever have to.

EDITWithin a couple hours of posting the ORIGINAL REVIEW I got a call from Rodney.I am very pleased with the level of customer service shown. He apologized sincerely and explained the current situation. The COVID pandemic has forced companies to try new ideas and techniques to stay in business. Unfortunately, I got lost in the shuffle of adjusting to this change. Id like to mention that NTSI may be one of the few companies offering a DUI course right now. This means they are impacted with all of the DUI cases happening in the Bay Area.I am very thankful for the call and clarification.ORIGINAL REVIEWCould be COVID related, but I was given no notifications or updates about classes until I reached out, and even then I didnt get a reply to my emails until I called in. I was told (with some attitude) that EVERYONE who signed up for orientatuon got an email about classes being held over Zoom. I didnt. And I signed up. I have a receipt. And tbh, I dont really care as long as I get into a class at some point, some how. Finally I got the email that classes start on Wednesday evenings. Yay! When did they send the email? 2PM on Wednesday. So they expect their students to wait on hold for months, but when classes start they cannot provide more than 4 hours notice? So Im hoping I didnt miss the first class but I dont know. I emailed a request for clarification and have not received a response yet. Which in my experiemce so far is typical. I will call in tomorrow if I dont receive a response.I have nothing negative to say about anyone I have spoken with, nor any service they provide (since I havent received any service yet). This rating is because I feel out of the loop, there is no communication, and I am astounded they did not provide more than half a days notice for the start of classes (if that is so the case). And if classes havent started, a simple email reply would put your customer at ease.Like I said at the begining, this could be COVID related. Things are crazy right now. It is what it is. I am happy to ammend my rating, as my concerns are addressed.

NTSI helped me so much!! I am a single mom who unfortunately put myself in the position of getting a DUI. I need my license to take care of my family. This school was so kind to me and helped me get my life back on track. I think this is the type of place where you get what you put into it. If you go in with a bad attitude your doing a disservice to yourself and the teachers trying to teach you. If you go in with a positive attitude youll walk out feeling like you accomplished something! My instructors were very nice and tried to help any way they could. Im happy to say I finished the classes and got my license back thanks to them. Best prices of all the schools too!

If it wasn’t for the director, Rodney, I’d give this place one star. Rodney is very understanding of each problem individually, and always found a healthy solution to everything. I did not enjoy my teacher. He spent most of the time ranting and talking about his past rather than educating us about drinking and driving. As if he wanted us to learn nothing and become a repeat offender. Luckily, you have the power to get a different teacher if you didn’t get along with yours. Some teachers will get REALLY angry and swear at you if you show up late or even something as small as glancing at your phone for the time. They made us rely on this old wall clock that didn’t even have the time right. The model of this class is incredibly obsolete... even some of the teachers. The building is something straight out of the 80’s: Run down buildings and technology, watching old vhs tapes. I understand though because these agencies don’t receive enough funding, which is a gentle reminder of how broken the system is. The DUI industry makes so much money and puts very little of it into our harm reduction and education.

Compare to other places this one is more affordable and the person who runs it is very understanding if payments cant be made. The instructors are good. Parking does suck but you can park across. The group instructor that i had she wasnt very consistent most of the time it was another instructor teaching the class.. The place is very old and run down but honestly your just there to get your *ish together and over. It was an experience for me for sure and i dont have any plans on returning. ..
