The Product Manager Certificate was awesome! The instructor - Mischa Stephens - was super knowledgeable and constantly challenged us to think the way a successful Product Manager would from the get go. The collaboration between individuals in teams, and further sharing and learning from others afterwards was a great way to find new ways to solve problems. The class structure is great, the exercises are very practical, and the amount of content (and the quality) shared by Product School is unique. Recommended!

The journey was amazing and extremely insightful! The 2hr session seems too short especially the in-session activity for each topic would have been a more fun experience given ample time to do it! Nevertheless, its an incredible experience and a better option to take with regards to taking a Product Management Certification, at least in my opinion! Checkout their podcast too!

I found this course via LinkedIn. I was not very sure whether it will be helpful for me to get a certificate in Product Management but I am glad I took the course. It gave me an opportunity to learn about Product Management and how it works within an organization. The course is well structured with pre session materials to read and watch followed by virtual class and team exercises. Our course instructor Mischa was great, he did a good job to keep us in track and shared his real life experience as a product manager. At times hearing other peoples experience can help you understand concepts better and I liked that about this course. I would highly recommend this course for anyone who is planning to switch their career to Product Management as well as anyone who is a newbie Product Manager. Product School also offers mentorship during the course. Mark was great in providing feedback for resume. Overall great learning experience. Thanks

Very good course! The content was pretty good, but what made the difference was the instructor. I had Debankur and he is super knowledgeable, willing to answer questions, and provided a lot of practical applications vs. just the textbook concepts. I wish the classes were recorded though and I had access to the slides that the instructor shared, because I would have loved to gone back and review. I also wish I got feedback on the homework week by week as I worked towards the final project. The office hours which arent hosted by the instructor was less useful for me as it was focused on editing resumes, but the advice and guidance from Debankur alone made the class worth it!

Product School is the de facto standard of training for any up-and-coming PM in the recent years. They really bring together the whole industry, with online live-sessions by PMs in top-companies, ProductCon: a conference that brings together PMs from around the globe, and of course the certification programs. I recently took the Product Leader Certification course, and would recommend it to anyone who wants to take their PM skills & tool-kit to the next level! Their instructors are also top-notch, such as our instructor Felipe, who really went above & beyond to teach us about executive-level product concepts.

I took the 1 week accelerated PMC cohort with Dessy Kadriyani.Heres pros and cons about this course & Product School:Pros :You will get to review and have hands on practice on all the fundamentals of product management.Instructor has industry experience and can answer your questions with real life examples.Product School has collected a series of templates and material that you can use for work after graduation.By day 4, you will participate in a hackathon and pitch for a product with your team-mates .Cons :Theres lots and lots of content being presented and taught in one week, which can be overwhelming for some to absorb. If you are not familiar with some of the tools you have not worked with before, it may be challenging to catch up with the rest of the team.People are joining from all backgrounds and from different time-zones, and not everyone follows the same pace .The concepts and exercises prepare you for building digital applications ( mobile, web) . But if you are building a product that involves hardware design, or require getting through regulatory and compliance steps, you wont necessarily cover all the steps in this course. With all the cons stated here, I still give a 5star score for the program, and for the instructor as it was exactly what I was looking to get out of the course and prepared me for the next steps in my career.

I took the product manager certificate course with instructor Gampi Shankar in August/ September 2021.The course was very informative, and covered the fundamentals of product lifecycle, including user centric methodology, business models, value creation, requirements, agile, and launch. The information was presented clearly through multiple self-study formats (main text, videos, online lectures and readings, podcasts, realistic projects, ect...). There were way more extracurricular material for me to choose from than I was expecting. The live class sessions were not just redundant lectures from the self-study material. Instructor Gampi shared examples from his own experience, invited guest speaker currently working as PM in a top tech firm, and inspired avid discussions between all the students. I learned just as much in class as I did from the self-study materials. The instructor also devoted his time for all the students well beyond the scheduled meeting hours.I highly recommend this class for the fundamental learnings, the connection with like-minded classmates, and the resourcefulness of the instructor.

The interactive group exercises during the course really helped me to push through and understand the workings of a product flow. During the course, our instructor Juanma provided examples of his real life PM experience, which I think was very powerful. The course itself is very engaging and it offered a solid foundation to help you upskill and find a good direction. Product School was one of the best decisions I made for my career thus far. The content was invaluable, the course structure was great in that it gave ample opportunities to have open forum discussions and real-time collaboration with your classmates so you work through solutions together and learn from each other. It was great to talk about problems that arent just classroom examples, but real challenges that a product team needs to overcome and actual skills that connect a PM to the core of how to understand customer needs. My instructor was Fred Chong Rutherford, and he was AMAZING. Cannot stress this enough. I put a lot of thought and research into which teacher I wanted to learn from, and Fred exceeded my expectations in every way. Hes one of those people who can connect with whoever hes speaking with and use his empathy to synthesize complex topics into easily digestible concepts. On top of all that, its obvious that he cares so deeply about making sure his students are set up for success.I walked away feeling a fundamental shift in how I approach product development and management, from learning how to actively listen and lead with empathy to learn what problems my users have, to how to communicate this with stakeholders throughout my organization to rally the troops and deliver a product users love.If youre on the fence about taking this course, dont be. If youre fortunate enough to have the opportunity to take it with Fred, stop reading this and go sign up now before his next class fills up!! Youll walk away 10x better than before, both personally and professionally.

I have had a bit of training for CX, UX, business analyst, project management. Much of the Product Management Certification was a refresh of concepts Im familiar with from that previous training or just job experience. But it never hurts to be re-motivated to actually do some of the things you know you should be doing. And there was still a lot to learn. I struggled with some of the group exercises just because that type of thing doesnt exactly fit my learning style and not all groups are made the same. But the activities make you think and do a lot of things Ive never done before.Really thought Juanma was a really sharp and well-experienced instructor. He had a solid answer to every question. Although he did mix in a lot of his previous work history as examples of what was being taught in the materials, Id love to know more about what he does every day for 40 hours a week!Met some cool and smart people that range from those just starting their career journey to those changing their journey to those well down their journey just looking to grow.

I wanted to love it, but I would not recommend the Product School for students looking to really dive into Product Management and learn about it for the first time. While the PM Certificate course does provide an overview of being a PM, it is very much just an overview. There was very little practical experience, and not much more to the content other than PowerPoint slides. We did have a few group exercises, but those werent as beneficial as they could have been. Since there were students with prior PM experience mixed in with those of us with no experience, the group projects tended to be led by those experienced PMs. As a student with no experience, this made it difficult to actually learn or practice. Though there was homework, our instructor implied that they wouldnt offer any additional feedback other than what we already went over in class, since the homework was the same as our group projects.Im sure this will help on LinkedIn, but I didnt learn anything that I couldnt have learned in PM books or through much cheaper courses via other avenues like Coursera (for reference, the PM course at Product School cost $4500 as of summer 2021).I dont think Product School is worth it, and I wouldnt recommend taking the Product Manager Certificate course.

The pandemic forcing class to be on zoom also provided a great opportunity to interact with talented product people from all over the world. Also my employer was generous enough and accepted to sponsor this learning opportunity to help me grow as a Product Manager, and let me tell you, it was well worth it.The course material was complete in my opinion, and most chapters were very well structured. Some chapters had information jumbled, so test-your-knowledge quizzes had mistakes and didnt have the answers to validate. But the material to prepare before the class is the core of the course and all of the information is very valuable. The classes were also very important because they were meant for us to apply everything we learned in the modules. Our instructor Caio was really helpful, smart, and down to earth. He had insightful comments about the market. He added value to the modules by providing complementary information where necessary to ensure we capture well the material. The class mates also seemed to be all really talented, we were split into teams, we learned from each other during the team work and when reviewing other teams work.If you were to take the course, I would recommend not to take the condensed version but the one spread out over 8 weeks. The content is heavy and if you take it all one shot, you might not be able to benefit from it really. In my case, Im already working in the field, so I would go back to work after the course and try to apply what I learned to my context, and I feel that really helped me put the pieces together. The slack channel is also very active that I cant keep up with it. But Im sure if you take the time, it will help with your career because there are a lot of useful information that gets shared; from industry insights, to reading materials, webinars, and job postings and orientation.I would definitely recommend Product School if youre in the field or wanting to get in. Im recommending it for my colleagues.

I had the best experience taking Product Schools, Product Leadership Course with Apple Product Manager Debankur Naskar in June/July 2021. Students were from everywhere... Singapore, India, South America, Colorado, New York and even two from San Francisco! Taking the class has given me renewed confidence in finding my dream job after leaving the workforce to beat back cancer diagnosis. The slide decks and course notes are extensive, and will serve me as a valuable resource on what a Product Manager should know about subjects including Product Strategy and Marketing, Customer Development, Product Analytics and Data Visualization, Software Frameworks and even (my fav!) Machine Learning! Good job Debankur and team at Product School... worth every penny!

The Product Management Certificate was a great course to understand the basics of Product Management -- going over the fundamentals of the product process, user experience, and a number of different frameworks to use on the job. Fred Chong Rutherford was a superb instructor with a wealth of industry knowledge to give real-world examples for the various topics. The class is interactive and fun as well!

I would take this opportunity to thank Product School for offering the Product Leadership Certificate under the guidance of excellent Product Leader Debankur Nasker. I have been working in the industry for past 10 years, but the way this class easily explained the constraints and frameworks to be a Product Leader is exceptional. I would happily encourage people who are exploring to become a Product Leader to take this class and experience as what it takes to be an ethical Product Leader.

As a project manager, I have been involved in some product management work and enrolled in Juanma Agudos class for a formal training in product management. He is very well informed and an excellent teacher. After taking his class, I feel inspired about moving into the product management area and feel that he has provided me many tools that will be helpful. I am already using some of my training for personal entrepreneurial work.

Recommend Product School to all that are looking to deepen their understanding on product management. Great content brought alive by a fantastic instructor -Nino. Nino balanced covering PM theory, sharing personal PM experiences, and setting tasks/assignments (to enable a learn by doing approach), extremely well over the 8 weeks of course time.Course also had an awesome cohort where the collective sharing of experiences/projects heightened the individual takeaway. If you’re on the fence, highly recommend signing up. Well worth your time/$.

I highly recommend taking Meryam Bukharis Product Management class if you are new to product management or a seasoned product manager but looking to refresh your knowledge in product management. She was engaging and always tailored her class content and materials to fit her unique class requests. She is open, honest, and willing to help by sharing her thought. I have gained a lot from her, even though I am a seasoned PM leader. 5 out of 5 stars to Meryam Bukhari.

I can only say that the Product Management Certificate (online) course has been perfect for me, a (junior) product owner seeking to improve my product knowledge (both theoretically & practically). The course exceeded my expectations on several levels and laid the foundation for me to be able to build a product that makes sense! The course teaches all kinds of things that gives you a holistic view of the product cycle. I found it especially great that there was a strong emphasis on ‘learning by doing’. Every lesson one can prepare by reading (they give you great links to articles & books) and doing (voluntary doing content related assignments). During the lesson Meryam Bukhari, our teacher, found the perfect balance between sharing theoretical information (frameworks, methods, etc.), her experience (real life examples) and in class discussions.Meryam, not only explained the various cycles very well, but she also went the extra mile by providing us with additional examples, and giving tips & tricks on the assignments we had. She helped everyone to get the best out of the course and this made everything incredibly valuable!

Id recommend Product School for anyone new to or looking to further their understanding of Product Management. For me, it was the instructor Nino that really made the course standout. Nino made what can be theoretical very practical with his tangible experience, anecdotes, and in-class case studies. With this course comes a great network of like-minded students. If Product School has an area for improvement its their student portal, at times it was confusing to navigate and runs risks content getting missed.

Ive heard about Product School a while back, and over time Ive made the great decision to join their classes, and got all 3 certificates (PMC, PLC, PEC)So far, I have taken the PMC and PLC certificates, to both Rocky Sharma and Felipe Vieira. Both instructors were from different backgrounds and industries, and have provided me with amazing insights on the requirement of a great Product Manager, linking up the course curriculum with their real life experiences, giving me a full understanding on the day-to-day tasks, responsibilities, and decisions that a Product Manager must make, and how to have the best outcome of any case that occurs.Thank you to both Rocky and Felipe, and looking forward to my PEC certificate in the near future!

I recently finished an 8 weeks Product Management course at The Product School. I had been willing to learn about product management for years and finally decided to do it. I have to say that the course exceeded my expectations by far. We learned about techniques and tools to use to be an efficient product manager. But the most valuable learning I got from this experience is how important the human aspect is in such a role. Our instructor Fred Chong Rutherford made all of us feel very confident that we had the skills to make great product managers.Taking this course was very enriching in many aspects. I recommend it to anyone willing to transition to a product management role or getting better at it.

I had enrolled in the Product Management Certificate course where Fred Chong Rutherford was my instructor. Fred is the most empathetic person I have met. He has immense knowledge of the product management concepts and He is a TRUE product manager. He has patiently answered all my queries/concerns. He does give real life examples and will hear all your questions with the same interest as he would from a real customer. I remember speaking to him after the class and it was around midnight(for him) and he patiently answered all my doubts with the same energy and enthusiasm that he displays in class. He has always guided me to be kind to myself and encouraged me when I was feeling de-motivated. He gives you an honest and constructive feedback which I really appreciate in my teacher. Thank you FRED!!

Suhas was a 5 star instructor, he was always very helpful and willing to share his knowledge and experience. He embraces these classes with the same empathy and focus as if we were his clients, truly leveraging his experience as PM in fulfilling students expectations and needs. Regarding Product School curriculum I think its too heavy load for 40 hours. Furthermore I was expecting a deeper dive as hands-on classes but felt that the project specs defined by Product School were superficial and didnt convey a real business case that a PM could face. So overall my expectations with this course were half met.

Fred was a fantastic (5/5 stars) instructor who really understood the concepts he was teaching well. I loved the emphasis on customer empathy that he had throughout the course, and I very much enjoyed learning about some interesting new topics such as machine learning. Fred has demonstrated his product leadership throughout the course and is a really good example of a great product manager. I especially appreciated his willingness to share real world examples from his own experience to bolster down the concepts, some of which were very personal. The thing holding back that last star was the online course format, which is an unfortunate side effect of the pandemic were in. I think learning is most effective in person and Zoom worked, but wasnt the most ideal especially for group exercises in breakout rooms. Looking forward to when this pandemic is over so I can participate in in-person learning again! If youre reading this hoping to make a decision on if to take the course, or who to take the course with - you cant go wrong with Fred as an instructor, and this course does a good job of giving you breadth of knowledge on the topics listed in the syllabus. For depth of knowledge, you will likely need to dive deeper on your own time.

I had a great experience with Product School. I had experience as a PM at a small startup where a lot of what I knew was self-taught. Product School, and especially my instructor Nino Tasca, helped me refine what I knew and helped me learn new things so I could understand how the product world works at larger companies. The Product book, lectures, and break out sessions really helped me learn how to be a great Product Manager. This has most definitely had a positive impact on the trajectory of my career.I also had an amazing class of very smart people from all around the world. This made it a very enjoyable experience all around. I would most definitely recommend Product School to anyone thinking about becoming a Product Manager or for young Product Managers looking to continuously improve their skills.

The content of the Product Management course gave me a good insight into what product actually entails. All the methodologies and frameworks that we learned were well explained and the best part about this course was the collaboration. I got to make new connections with people who are either looking to switch to product or people who are already very successful product managers. My instructor was Nino and he did an excellent job in putting all the slides together and explaining the concepts with examples. I recently concluded my product management certification with Debankar. The course material was very progressive and the every class session propelled me to think differently and how to approach product management. This class, the pace and in particular my cohorts instructor, Fred Chong Rutherford, were all outstanding. I thought that the class itself was great in structure, but could have used a single overview section at the end - it felt slightly rushed at the end (I did the 8-week course for reference). That said, all of my questions were answered. The Slack access is very nice.Freds ability to convey ideas and really bring the best out of you is great - he is essentially coaching you through this and is an absolute expert in the field. He gives fantastic feedback, and is very honest with you.I think that the LMS used and Product Schools communication in regards to its requirements could have been more clear, and the LMS layout/structure could be improved as well.I would (and have!) recommend course this to a friend or co-worker.

I have just completed the Product Leader Certificate course. I am a developer by training, and this course has enabled me to discover all the other aspects of Product Management as a whole. Debankur offered us his perspective on how to put the different information into practice.Debankur is an excellent teacher, with a lot of patience, and he wants all the team to participate actively in the training. Moreover, what I particularly liked is that Debankur is a fairly technical person, so he was able to Bestize many complicated concepts for people new to IT like Machine Learning or SQL.All the participants in this training have worked a lot and shared their experiences through the different courses we had.Extremely positive point: I am French and I was in a class mainly based in America. I felt stressed at the beginning for English, but everyone made me feel confident and pushed me to participate and express myself. This course is international and the people are kind to each other.I highly recommend this course and Debankur, which are both mixed together a very good cocktail for the best success in Product Management!

I was hesitant to take the PMC course pre the PLC course (especially that I have been doing PM for good number of years). But, it never failed me. The instructor (Juanma Agudo) was impressive! He is hands on, and excels in beyond the theory to explain the how and why. All of in-class discussions were about hands on and how a PM needs to handle different situations in different setups (companies such as Google ..etc, and Startups, including how to build your own product). Yes, the tools provided were important, but the experience and how-to knowledge made our class great. Thank you! Now, I am considering the PLC with more confidence.

Course: Product Leader Course (PLC), 8 weeksInstructor: Debankur Naskar (Product Lead @Apple, Sr PM @eBay)This course has far beyond exceeded my expectations. Let me explain why by laying out the 2 biggest concerns I had before joining, and then noting how the class addressed each of them far better than I expected.Concern 1: How is this different from self-studying blogs & books (or other cheaper certifications)? There is an abundance of free great blogs (e.g Shreyas Doshi, Will Lawrence etc.) and books (e.g. Inspired, Cracking the PM Interview etc.) out there. Naturally, my concern was what extra value would the money bring to me from, first, a knowledge standpoint. After completing the course, I realize that there are 2 very strong cases to make.(1) Interactive learning: The curriculum is filled with group exercises that are built on real case studies. This MBA classroom-like learning experience allowed me to acquire and deepen the understanding of the materials far better than simply reading blogs and books from here and there by myself — it builds much more on top of it.(2) Latest industry trends & insights: Not only have I had the opportunity to learn from a well-respected Product Leader, but also many of my classmates were experienced PMs as well. This means that there were valuable insights from different industries that I wouldn’t have had the chance to acquire otherwise; the course materials were discussed and evaluated from various perspectives so they added their own flavors to the materials. For example, my instructor, Debankur, has a strong technical background in AI/ML search products at Apple and eBay, so he prepared additional slides to introduce the latest insights in these areas, which was super interesting.Concern 2: What’s my cohort like and will I be able to build meaningful, lasting connections?Another concern I had prior was the quality of the cohort, given that I won’t know who I am going to be with until I join the first class except for the instructor. By joining the PLC program, I wanted to expand my PM networks (which I had pretty much none at the time of applying) and ideally, find people who will be able to help me grow, provide me with intros, and so on.(1) Quality network has grown like steroids: My classmates worked at a variety of companies from big tech (e.g. Microsoft, Netflix, Adobe) to high-growth startup companies; from software engineers, marketers, to current PMs. Furthermore, as PLC alumni, Product School gave me free access to career events and job portals, which boosted my PM networks.(2) Highly motivated individuals: my instructor and classmates came to the class highly motivated and prepared, which meant that they were also willing to connect and discuss offline after the class. We engaged a lot via the slack group chat and had a great time. I am confident that I will stay in touch with many of them in the future. In fact, even though the course is over now, I will be talking with a few of them next week to discuss our final presentations! To sum up, I strongly believe that Product School gave me an incredible learning experience, which I can carry with me in my career for years to come.If you have more questions, please feel free to reach out to me. I would be more than happy to provide further context to my own experience!
