Deciding to take lessons with Surfer girls was one of the best decisions I made all year! For years I have been dreaming about learning how to surf but was always nervous about actually getting out there. I signed up for one group lesson to try it out and had a blast! Mike had me riding waves by the end of my first lesson.... And now I am addicted;)) I ended up signing up for 4 more lessons. After 4 lessons I felt confident to go out surfing with my friends!The best thing about Surfer girls are their positive vibes and constructive feedback. I have taught people how to ski and am an art teacher so I am pretty sensitive to how teachers teach whether its in a classroom, on a mountain, or in the ocean. All of the instructors at Surfer Girls are patient and very positive. They keep the group lessons to 3 students per instructor so that each student gets individualized attention.Finally, these guys prepare you by teaching you all of the safety and surf etiquette you need to know so that you feel confident and comfortable to go out on your own (I would recommend taking a few lessons first!). My first time going out with friends I was nervous but once I got in the water it was so great to realize that I knew exactly what I was doing! Next summer I plan on taking 1 or 2 individual lessons so that I can keep improving.In short, if you want to surf, surf with Surfer girls surf school.-Tim

We had Adam as a instructor and he was AWESOME! So positive and fun my 8 year old had a blast with her dad. I would recommend this company for surf lessons to anyone visiting the San Diego area.

I had a great time with Surfer Girls, contrary to the name they teach guys and girls alike. It was a great team that creates a fun and relaxed environment. This was a fantastic family experience! We took our two girls, aged 9 and 11. None of us had ever surfed before.I booked 2 semi-private classes, so we had two instructors for the 4 of us. If you are thinking of going with younger kids, or smaller girls, I would highly recommend doing the semi-private lesson. The paddling is really hard work and our girls would have lost steam pretty quickly, but both were there to help them do most of the paddling. My 11 year old is hooked! We would have set her up for another lesson during our visit if they hadnt been booked solid for the week!

My family and I were on vacation from NJ and decided to take surf lessons. The surf instructors were the absolute most patient, informative, and experienced people we could ask for.(AND DEF EASY ON THE EYES) :) We decided to pay extra for the photo package and it was well worth it! The photos were high quality and I recommend going this route for the memorable times to share on your social media pages!

I had so much fun with some close friends when we decided to try our luck at surfing lessons. Surfer girls surf School was great! We stood up right away, and their instructors cheered us on. They were all very professional, had great equipment and we even got free t-shirts, and photos of our experience!!!!!!! If youre looking for a great get-a-way go to Surfer girls!!!! For sure I will return next summer! Thank You girls!

Surfer girls is a great experience for all learning types! We tried a few different schools in the area, and while they were all great, this particular school made us feel like Pros! Thank you Aloha Surfer Girls!!
