From his responsiveness to helping you get set up for his classes and getting your application filled out to his knowledge of the material and the laws and regs that pertain to the topic. I was pleased to take the CCW Training conducted by Bill. He is a relaxed, interesting and outstanding instructor in both the classroom and the range. He interjected humor into a very serious subject and was extremely helpful in range instruction. I was able to qualify with three pistols, improving with each period on the range. Ive taken classes with Bill a couple of times, and will continue to use his services as needed. Nobody like to sit through 4 or 8 hour classes, but he keeps you pretty involved and the time passes fairly quickly. His teaching style is simple and direct with a little humor. Bill did a great job preparing students for serious task of legally carrying a deadly weapon for personal defense. Having said that, the class was really fun and engaging. Bill has an affable nature and conversational teaching style that was very effective and allowed students of all levels of experience to feel comfortable and confident by the end of the day. Students ranged from competition shooters to a person who had never even held a firearm of any sort, from young adults to mature adults (one participant was 77 years old) and Bill was able to keep all of us engaged and most importantly, maintain a safe range environment for everyone. Cant say enough about this class and Bill! Well worth the price of admission, you wont regret taking this class no matter what your level of experience. Facilities were top notch also, open indoor range with good air handling made for a very comfortable range experience....Kudos to the Glock Store for that!

I recently took a CCW renewal course with Bill Desy. I have taken many classes with him through the years, and have always found him to be knowledgeable, professional and whip-smart when it comes to firearms and gun safety. Great class for Arizona and Florida, learned some new stuff, Bill was helpful and interesting. However, he put me on the list for a UTAH permit class and I never heard about it again, finally took the class through ASDI. He said he would review my CCW application for the county but I never heard from him after sending it. Then I tried to set up private lessons for both myself and my fiance but never heard from him, finally signed up with Manny at The Gun Range. Left voice messages, left texts, sent emails, FB messages, etc. Nothing. Update: Bill reached out to me, some emails had gone to his spam box, etc. and he was very apologetic, all good!

Under the anonymity of the internet I will confess that I had an enormous fear of guns, but always wanted to learn how to shoot. I finally did that a few days ago through CCW and cant say enough good things about it! Bill Desy is a great teacher (funny too!) and all-around nice guy--I was the only woman and the only novice in the class and he made me feel totally comfortable. It wasnt political or anything, just an information- and training-packed eight hours. I am definitely going back for more training! Also, as an aside, the class was held at the Glock Store and the staff there were super nice as well.

William Desy is a master instructor, mentor and outstanding shooter. He is a student first, learning from a wide range of philosophies and training. He has certified thousands of students and instructor over years of teaching and continues to educate himself at the same time. When you take a class from Mr. Desy you are taking advantage of a wide array of skills and knowledge he has learned, and continues to practice, over the course of decades. Many are certified but few have gained the expertise that Mr. Desy has. Even fewer have the desire and aptitude to teach those skills. Mr. Desy is in the highest echelon of instructors I have ever met.
