I took a women’s self defense class in March right before the pandemic/quarantine started. It was the perfect time bc as a result of gyms closing, I had to walk/run outside a lot, sometimes in empty trails when it’s dark. The class and training I received was truly life-changing!!! It was not a boring lecture-y class, it was very hands-on, teach-by-doing type of class. You learn by doing and by being corrected, you learn by revisiting some moves and combining them with new moves. You develop muscle memory that you never thought of. It’s a personal tailored experience. Most importantly, you learn how to use your voice and how to display a strong energy through your stance and walk.I felt powerful right away, during the class and right after. You will feel invincible because what you’re learning in this class are skills that will save your life, truly. These are skills that you can’t unlearn and will always be there to serve you when needed. I think every woman should take this class!

This place is AMAZING!!!! My 4 year old was going stir crazy during quarantine ( well me more so than him but thats another story) and Im so grateful we stumbled across Ninja Camp! Its been a lifesaver for me and my son is so excited to go to camp everyday! And most importantly hes completely worn out when he gets home! Lori and Joey and their two boys are the nicest people ever and it is the best feeling knowing without a doubt that my son will be taken care and not have to worry. I cant recommend this place enough! 6 stars :)

We have attended a birthday party here for 5 years old kid. It was so much fun and my kid enjoyed it. They are offering different activities during the birthday like jumping, swings, ball fights, and one of them engaged the parents which was fun.

This place has been my home for so many years. Padres games, beach workouts, tournaments, and the different programs that Shaolin Kempo Arts has to offer. Sensei Joey has really made a environment to other children to really teach and enjoy the art of martial arts. I will always call this place home and thank you to Shaolin Kempo Arts of all they do.

We started with kickboxing for one adult and ended up with both adults and two kids taking lessons from Sensei Joey. This is a fantastically positive place! Joey and Lori Laroque ensure that every student is valued and learns confidence and resourcefulness. This is a gem in our community that teaches strength, leadership, and integrity. Come for the workout and stay for the life lessons!

Amazing Sensei and facility. Karate and parkour are both awesome. 5 year old loves it learning self control discipline defense and respect all while being active and have a blast. This is a fantastic environment for any child! The owners are amazing and you will feel like you are part of a family when you walk through the doors.

This place has changed my little girl for the better. Over the last two years she has developed strong atripubets that I know will help her later in life. Not just the Kempo, that’s a plus to this, her understanding of other life skills. Respect, patience, compassion, humbleness, bravery, leadership, situational awareness in social encounters, genuine achievents from HARD work. Belts are not just given they are earned. Giving her something that is bigger than she is gives her belonging and fulfillment. As a proud parent this is a cool feeling. I stumbled across this place luckily from a personal referral to participate in one of their outreach programs. This Dojo participates and provides so many community activities. Every want to practice bettering yourself on the beach? How about performing at a home Padres game and then hang out with the “Shao Lin Team” to enjoy the field/game and obviously each other? And the tounrnaments are the Best. This place is for everyone and is welcoming. They will assist with private lessons if needed as well as postitive reinforcement from all of their knowledagable and more importantly friendly Senseis. Thank you Sensei Joey and Sensei Lori 👍
