Coach Calvin is amazing with my girls. He is kind, patient and super friendly. We started lessons last summer and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Both girls (3 and 5 years old) have learned to swim and float on their backs. Coach Calvin’s teaching methods are very effective and your child will learn how to swim in no time! Fin 2 swim for the win!

Thank you Calvin for helping my grandkids become water safe. You have taught them to not only swim safety skills but how to dive down to collect the toys you threw in our deep end for our 5 year old and our 3 year old to also dive to collect these toys in the middle of the pool what a huge accomplishment! Our granddaughter who is 21 months knows how to float and make it to the side of the pool. If anyone is looking for the greatest teacher it is Calvin you will not be disappointed and my grandkids could not wait for Calvin time and we’re so sad that Thursday June 3,2021 was their last lesson. We will be doing refreshers with Calvin!Thank you again Calvin you truly are amazing!Thank you for making and keeping my grandkids happy and loving to swim! The Tilley - Probe Family

We are so happy we decided to do swim lessons with Calvin for our two young boys. We started last summer with our oldest who is now 3.5 (so started when he was around 2.5) and hes totally swim safe now (and mastered the float last summer!) We started with our youngest this summer - who is 1.5 and hes floating like a champ 3 weeks in! We are so glad we stuck with Calvin and his method. He is such an amazing and positive swim instructor. I was nervous because my oldest was really resistant to swim lessons at first and screamed the whole lesson the first week (or two?! I blocked out the memory). I wasnt sure he would ever come around and I am so glad I didnt give up on him because now he gets upset when it is time to get out of the pool. I never believed Calvin that would happen eventually at first! What a relief to have two swim safe toddlers. Truly amazing! Thank you for everything you do Calvin!-Ellen Pridgen

I wanted to overcome 1 major fear: swimming. As embarrassing as this sounds, my youth was stolen. Every single pool party Ive ever been to I remained near the shallow end, or not in the pool at all. Beach days were the worst days... not anymore!Pros:-Fin2Swim taught me the proper breathing mechanics.-Fin2Swim taught me the proper floating mechanics.-Fin2Swim taught me to stay patient and relax in the water.-Lessons were priced at a great value as I got lifetime swimming/floating/survival techniques in the water. Conclusion: Living by the water in San Diego requires swimming to live life to the fullest! I no longer fear the water. If you are a full grown adult like me, do it ASAP!

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING BABY AQUATICS SCHOOL!! Calvin is a great teacher, and has great eye and intuitive way to teaching little ones how to survive and have the life skills on their own in the water without floaties. I def recommend him to anyone that wants to learn how to swim. He teaches babies as young as 6 months and can teach adults of all ages how to swim as well. He also teaches surf lessons to the little ones once they mastered swimming. It’s pretty awesome and exciting to see the results of babies floating and swimming in just 4-8weeks. Def check Fin2Swim out. My baby is learning to swim right now and it’s pretty amazing stuff guys!

My boy started survival swim at 18 months old (2017). Calvin is a very patient teacher and understands the development of infants/children as they reach certain milestones (teething, walking, etc). He does correlate their milestones in how they progress with survival swim or general swim lessons. Im impressed with his patience, fun & positive attitude, especially with all age categories. You can tell he loves his job and he enjoys hanging with the kiddos. In the pool it’s just Calvin and the student. No other distractions and parents watches from outside the pool at a distance. He welcomes photography and videos although he warns parents that their child will cry during the 10 minute lessons but only because he puts them in swim scenarios that teach them techniques. These techniques will help save them in an event they fall into a pool unexpectedly. Calvin gauges when the child is ready for the complete clothes test. This is where they are dressed in full Winter and Summer clothes. They are then observed as they get into the pool and tested to see if they utilize the techniques taught in their course.I strongly recommend Calvin and Fin2Swim. He teaches young infants as well. He can do private lessons at your personal pool but generally he coordinates locations for you to attend with other parents at specific sites. Hes always on time and if on the rare occasion he is late he will try and communicate as soon as he can. Survival swim is so important especially since the summer months are approaching!I highly recommend Calvin from Fin2Swim

Lead Instructor Calvin Tom is the “Real Deal” no need to search any longer. If you have a child or if yourself need to learn how to swim this is the instructor to teach you. His methodology is self taught and it shows when he provides results that are mind blowing. Kids as young as 3 months old. His ability to intuitively guide these kids through all of their emotions that come up with dealing with the fear of water is what makes him unique and experienced. My advice, always hire someone that Absolutely Loves what they. No more thinking, take action and book your next class!!!

Calvin came to our pool. He showed up every day on time and ready to get to work. Not only was Calvin so patient with my 1 yr old son but he dealt with a kid who would cry every time he saw him and he knew my son’s limits enough to know that pushing through this hurdle would get him to swim. And swim he did. Holden is not only a great swimmer now but he loves the water and we attribute that to Calvin and his can-do attitude. Worth every cent!!!

My 1 1/2 year old son started his infant safety classes last summer. Calvin’s method is safe and gentle and most importantly EFFECTIVE. It’s a lil intimidating in the beginning but Calvin’s confidence is immediately transferred to the child in the water. He delivers what he promises. My son is now 2 years old and we just started up again at his new location in Carmel Mountain. I was nervous he forgot what he had learned last summer but that muscle memory is crazy cool! We just picked up from where we started and now my son is swimming. My son LOVES Calvin and looks forward to every lesson. I have confidence and peace that when I go to a swim party or pool that isn’t fenced that my son will be able to save his life and swim. Thank you Calvin!
