Leo is a great art instructor! I hired him for a private 2.5 hr family event in the backyard. He is extremely laid back and chill. He brought all the art supplies for 15 people, and was very accommodating for all the requests - lots of questions from the family and extra paint needed. Everyone had an amazing time, and would love to do it again someday.

I had been following Leo on Instagram since the beginning of the pandemic because I saw he advertised free virtual and live drawing classes online for kids and I thought that was amazing. When I finally had an opportunity to hire him to host a birthday painting and brunch session with some girl friends a few months ago, I couldnt wait to reach out to him. Leo was AMAZING - he followed COVID safety protocols and kept his mask on, was super encouraging and helpful in the painting process, and was very friendly. He even put on some music for our little party to make sure we were all enjoying ourselves. Not only did Leo make sure all of the girls came out with awesome paintings, he also made sure we had an unforgettable birthday celebration. Thank you Leo!!!

So cute story, we were visiting my mom who lives in the neighborhood and my dog and leos doggy ended up playing together at the park for a while, anyways he ended up drawing a picture freehand on the spot of our dog cookie: see pictures ! It turned out amazing and I actually hired him to do a bigger drawing of my three dog family soon, and I have a couple of kids and I will be taking them for a paint party with leos art classes for their birthday in May. He has this amazing portrait he drew of his dog I think on his website as well, like seriously check it out. He is very talented and a true community guy, kudos!

Leo was great! He was very patient with us. We had all different levels of painting experience and all different age groups, but he was very thorough and explained how to do each step of the painting. It was a fun and entertaining experience. My whole family and friends enjoyed it. I would recommend Leo and world do another event with him soon.

Leo was one of the best painting instructors I have ever had. He takes his time and explains everything very thoroughly. His price is extremely fair. He brings everything we need for a great painting party. I highly recommend him. We will be having him back for future painting gatherings.

I having been taking Leos class for over half of a year for now. Leo is very good at catering the emphasis of the class and integrating his own experiences behind the techniques of drawing and painting. The latent communications provide very rich materials for the experimenting/exploration and hard techniques, and I have been progressing at steady and decent pace. I plan to take his class for long term foreseeable future, and his class is a good force to combat the existential angst of everyday life.

I took Leo’s class with my sister and it was amazing. Very reasonably priced, safe (socially distanced/masks, for the time being), everything was provided and step by step. Leo also was good about helping and giving ideas on how to fix something on my painting. He is very trained and brings in vocabulary to the class. It was also very interesting how he could tell my personality through my art. I guess you can tell a lot about someone’s art. I love my pineapple art!

Leo is an amazing teacher! He comes to every class with enthusiasm and has a true passion for teaching. I have gotten so much farther ahead than I could have ever expected with his help. 100% recommend!

He is very informative and very patient. Because of COVID I didn’t feel comfortable to see in person like before, and he has been very flexible as we have been having the lessons over zoom.

This guy is amazing! I was hesitant to have a private paint and sip night at first considering the pandemic but Leo made is super fun and exciting while following all the COVID guidelines. He is the best art teacher in La Jolla and Mira Mesa we have tried so far. His prices are fair and his teaching methods are very clear and detailed. He made sure that all the tables were set up so we can paint social distancing style and kept distance from us and mask on at all times himself, sanitized things often too. My son who is on the autism spectrum enjoyed himself so much and wants art classes now and I am excited to set some private art sessions with Leo!Thank you Leo and keep up the great work. Leo was Amazing! I planned a team building with my co workers and Leo made it an amazing experience! We loved the step by step process of him showing is how to paint, he was patience and very helpful! I will be booking him again for future team events! I was celebrating my birthday with some of my friends at the La Costa Resort. I reached out to Leo to do a private paint session for my special day. He was soooooo down to earth and very accommodating. We had no idea what we were doing at all. Under his direction, a piece of art was made. Very talented! We had an awesome night!

I truly recommend Leo! Hes very professional and takes his job very seriously. He made me express myself by art. I prefer Art teachers who listen to me and have the patience to make feel free if you are looking for an Art teacher who has these characteristics, Leo is the one!! A very easygoing person with a nice attitude. After taking his classes I always feel relaxed with more ideas and motivated to continue painting. I suffered anxiety on a big level, painting is where I can express my feelings which is very important and Leo has been doing a great job helping me. Leo did an amazing job explaining and showing how to paint to a total amateur like myself. I probably havent painted anything since I as a kid I was able to make a pretty good painting. Very chill and easy to talk to. 10/10 would recommend.

Leo is a great artist as well as teacher. He offers the best art classes in Mira Mesa hands down and not to mention highly affordable. I have been to paint parties/ family art workshops he offers at the Mira Mesa Community park as well as Group art classes and they are super fun as well as meditative. I went from stick figures to be able to follow a 2 hour painting session in just a few sessions. His classes are very uniquely designed to cater to my own taste and we also do fun group art projects. I never thought I would love playing with terra-cotta sculpting but those classes definitely put me in the zen zone for 2 hours. I believe he also offers professional and advanced art classes for kids and adults. I highly recommend Leo.

Leoangelo was great! You MUST go! This is great for couples, families, and people of literally all ages and skill level!!! If a guy brought me to this for a date, I would love it! I have never really painted before, and brought my two sons ages 4 and 11. My 4 yr old was loving it and then gradually became interested in the playground a few feet away, which was great so I could keep my eye on him and enjoy the experience with my older son, the artist.Leoangelo taught the participants many techniques using the brush and paints and gave pointers for how to make certain images look more realistic, which was a lot of fun to recreate! He was very understanding, patient, caring and knowledgeable.I (just learned that) and respect him for making Mira Mesa shine by organizing the painting of all the electrical boxes around town ten years ago! I wish I lived closer so I could do this twice a month! what a beautiful day And painting I had at the end! I learned a lot and loved the image he gave us to paint. What a great day for my family and memory we will cherish!

We are visiting from Orlando and bought Leo’s Groupon for my three grandkids ages 12, 8 and 3. Leo was very patient and accommodating and didn’t mind even with the little one painting. His instructions were clear and helped us all end up with beautiful paintings. I also found the children’s books he illustrated on his website and ended up buying all three of them for the little one. Will definitely take his classes on the next visit.

Met him a few weeks ago when a little niece and nephew came to town and wanted to do some painting lessons. He was very patient + great instructions. Chill dude, like one of those super down to earth people. Anywho thanks, w see you again when our little ones come visiting nex time.

Umm two words, beers and paint. I didnt think Id enjoy art as much as I did but especially after some beers. Sister lives in Mira Mesa so we opted for a mira Mesa painting class and found he had a drink and paint event at Green flash brewing that weekend. Great combo 👌 I think this would be fun for a girls night out paint class and wine party too. Diggin it. Oh and found out also I can book a paint party / wine beer paint party closer to San Diego at my own convenience.
