We considered putting our son into a public school T-K program this year to save money but after weighing the educational benefits we are so happy we kept him at CMP for kindergarten prep. The curriculum offered at CMP is unlike any other and teachers do an excellent job at balancing classroom time with other equally important and stimulating activities. The variety of small camps offered during their summer session are also impressive ranging from dance and baking to arts and crafts and engineering small race cars. CMP produces well rounded students who love to learn. I am truly grateful for the love and attention all the staff at CMP give my son. Thank you so much for doing what you do!

We are so happy to have our kids at Carmel Mountain Preschool! Our son is in his 3rd year and our daughter is in her 1st year and they both love it. The teachers and staff feel like family and all of them know your child. Our son is very active and needed a highly stimulating preschool where he wouldnt be in a classroom all day long. He loves Tinker Hollow where he gets to build with tools. He loves The Glenn where he learns about nature and gets to touch insects and take care of the garden. And then theres the art studio where he gets to do so many fun crafts. All 3 of these places are outdoors! The 3 playgrounds are amazing. The school encourages multidimensional play where the kids can get dirty and stimulate their senses. Our son is always singing songs from school and he shocked me when he was counting by tens in a song. He also surprised me with knowing all the months of the year from a song! Both songs involved hand and body motions which I know helped him stay interested. He wants nothing to do with the alphabet at home but at school he happily learns and can write his name. I could go on and on. What I love most are the amazing teachers who genuinely love our kids and see the best in them. I feel at ease knowing they are so well taken care of. We look forward to sending our 3rd child there when hes ready!

My grand daughter enrolled in this school not long ago ( this summer) and she is so excited about it, speaking about her friends all the time and showing me all her artwork from school.It has a nice green look to it with a striking musical garden. I was at an ice cream social last month where I got to meet most of her friends ( that she spoke about so vividly). Listening to her teacher tell us all the activities that my grand daughter is excited about and about how passionate she is about singing, I couldnt help notice the attention to detail. Very impressed with the teachers. Helped myself to some passion fruit ice cream which I am told is grown right on the school premises. I am very happy with my sons choice of this preschool.

This Preschool is Awesome! The teachers are great and even the other teachers make a point to get to know the students in other classes. It is very clean and some amenities include an awesome garden and an art studio that I constantly hear nothing but great news about. The children are always given healthy snacks and are constantly interacting with other kids to help build their social skills. We are very impressed with this school and are so glad we chose it. And our baby girl has grown so much since starting here. Thank you to all the teachers and staff for making the students feel so comfortable and for ensuring our kids are being well taken care of and safe.

My wife and I have been looking for a good preschool for our son and decided to come and tour CMP. We both loved this school so much and we signed up our 3 year old to attend it. We could have not been more happier with the quality of care and attention our son receives on daily basis. We recently signed up our youngest son to attend this school as well. I can honestly say that this school is worth every penny we pay for it!

Carmel Mountain Preschool is truly a special place. We have seen our daughter’s confidence grow over the two years she has been at CMP. She is learning to love school as a place where she can be herself, develop her curiosity and learn empathy. She has also helped our daughter tap into a love of art and enabled her to express her creativity as she freely explores the classroom art supplies and the quaint hands-on art studio. I have looked all around and liked this school a lot more than the others. This is my daughters third year and she has been here since she is 2. I love the teachers, the staff and the owners. They are genuine, helpful, courteous and very nice. The place has a family like feel, teacher knows most of the kids by name. They have a very nice playground, an art area and a science center. Recently they started offering organic snacks which is a BIG plus for a health freak like me. I also love that they have installed solar panels too, it is good to know they also care about the environment. Here, the kids learn their manners, letters and numbers and bunch of other things. They are little heavy on the curriculum thing. But that is because there is a lot expected from kids when they enter kindergarten. I would personally prefer a more play based, more creative art filled curriculum but still I am still happy with the school. The drop and pick up hours are very convenient. This year, my daughter is in Miss Jackies class and she is the perfect match for my spirited crazy daughter. :) She has a very good sense of humor and makes my daughter feel accepted. It would just be really nice if they added some basic fun science experiments and/or more creative artwork.

I had the good fortune of visiting this preschool. Coming from Australia, I was blown away by the commitment and dedication the owners have shown at this school. It was unlike any I had seen in the US. This passion has translated to their committed and caring teachers. I loved the fact that they are constantly reflecting on their programs and environments to see how they can continue to provide high quality education and care to their children. My niece attends this preschool and she loves it. The grounds are so nice. Its set up like an elementary school. I have been to pick her up a couple times and have always been greeted warmly by the staff. Based on my experience, what my sister says about the school and my nieces joy when I pick her up, I would recommend this school to anyone with little kids.

We love this preschool ! Our 3y/o has grown tremendously in the short time she has been here. There is a wonderful balance with helping the children grow emotionally, socially and intellectually. We appreciate that the teachers really focus on fostering the childrens independence. Also the staff does a great job of communicating with the parents. I was introduced to CMP by a friend from my daughters other school and I am so thrilled that she told me about it. I am a full time single parent and a good school for my daughter is very important to me. We contacted the school in August right before the program started and they had one spot left. When my daughter said that she wanted to go to school here I knew that we were sold! Then when I found out about the glen and the art studio and all the many wonderful programs they have for her class I was sold! I also found out that a lot of the extra programs the other classes parents have to pay for. I was grateful that they are included in her class since I cannot always afford the extra stuff! This and the amazing kind staff is what made us sign up that day and am thrilled that we did. My daughter has fit in so well and has made so many friends! Her teachers have made her feel so comfortable and happy that she is excited to go to school each day! We are just thrilled that we made the change and got the last spot in her class! It is the best thing that we ever did!

Simply a well run family preschool. Weve sent two kids here and have been impressed with how they continue to make improvements and grow. The staff is attentive and well trained. For us CMP checked all the boxes for a preschool.

We are having a terrible experience. To start off, they have only one teacher in each class. My daughters teacher has been sick and she is getting all new staff. at two turning three age, this is very sad, as my child is not able to communicate to the new teacher and her needs are getting skipped, now very regularly.Last month, my daughter was left alone in the garden up the slope near the art and science shed. This was told to us by another parent who was picking her child from the workshop area. No one from the office or the teachers told us anything about it.The school has some 3-5 snakes in the garden.. one of them a big gopher snake, and once a while the snake is seen going in the bushes. When I asked Miss Donna about childrens safety, I got a stare .. and she explained, we would like to keep the animals in their natural habitat, so we are against moving the snakes away. I believe she has not been asked such a question by other parents.

My niece Kinsley loves her daycare/preschool. She gets to do fun activities that keep her engaged and learning. It is also a really clean and safe environment. Would highly recommend sending your kiddos here.

I couldn’t be more delighted with Carmel Mountain Preschool! As both an elementary school teacher and a mom, I have high standards. CMP has met or exceeded every one of them. Each day, when I drop my daughters off at preschool, I know I am leaving them in the care of loving, knowledgeable staff who will value and respect them as individuals. Our 3 y/o has been there for 6 months and LOVES it. It really feels like a family because the staff knows our daughter by name and always greet us with a smile. They have a variety of extra activities kids can participate in like music, Spanish, yoga and ceramics. We appreciate the variety of ways the school includes family and friends in activities such as ice cream socials, outdoor concerts, etc. Our daughter has grown leaps and bounds in the short time she has been there. CMP has been an amazing place for my daughter! She started in June at the age of 18 months and I was a nervous wreck. The teachers have been so patient and my daughter has really thrived in the environment. She is so social and verbal and really looks forward to going to school in the mornings. She loves her new friends and teachers and its so fun to see her learning and growing.The school itself is beautiful with so much for the kids to do - the art studio, the glen, playgrounds, monthly yoga and dance classes, holiday activities and spirit weeks, chickens to feed and organic snacks provided daily.

We love this preschool! The teacher is fantastic and even the other teachers know my daughters name. The facility is very clean with some awesome upgrades like huge musical instruments near the playground, an awesome garden, and a great art studio which our girl never stops talking about. Simply the most amazing place to bring your kids. They have playgrounds chock full of activities designed to expand the horizons and minds of little tikes. These guys love their job, and it shows in every aspect. A winner in every sense of the word! You can search for a hundred years and not find a preschool as good as this.

Our son Liam moved to Carmel mountain at 3.5. He loves it! He immediately talked about how excited he was about his new school and how great his teachers Ms. Teke and Ms. Claudia have been. We have been very impressed with how quickly he is learning as well. Donna and her staff do an amazing job and we love Carmel Mountain Preschool!

Our son has been a student at CMP for almost a year now and he loves it! Each morning our son asks, “what are we doing today?”. I visited several schools for my three year old before I finally found Carmel Mountain Preschool and instantly fell in love with it. My number one priority was finding a school that does a lot of outdoor education. CMP is definitely great at it with their amazing nature lab, art studio and tinkering classes. My son absolutely loves it and I’m amazed by the quality of projects teachers put together with our kids. There are non stop activities. They even bake in class, have field trip visits and celebrate all the major holidays by including parents in the celebration. I highly recommend this school to everyone who is seeking a good quality place for their child. Also, their hours are perfect for parents who work full time!

My daughter started going to this preschool this summer right after she turned 3. At first I wasnt sure what to expect, but was glad I made the decision to send her to CMP. A few things that stand out for me - my daughter loves this place for starters, lots of playground time with a few learning sessions sandwiched in between. I am ok with this schedule given that she is just over 3 years old and I would like more emphasis on the social development. She is amongst a very diverse group of children and thats always a good thing. Overall a very fun supportive environment. A great school in a very quiet neighborhood.

My daughter has been attending Carmel Mountain Preschool for 6 months now. She started when she was 18 months old in the toddler program. She absolutely loves it at school. She’s learned so much already – letters, numbers, colors, shapes, counting, etc. Her vocabulary has grown tremendously. Every day and every week there is something new on the class schedule. The school hosts lots of fun events such as the Hullabaloo concerts, police car and fire truck visits, snow days, bubble days. There’s just so many to list. The school has a garden where the kids can do hands-on activities and learn about life science. They also have an outdoor art studio where the kids can get messy and a musical garden where the kids can try out some cool instruments. There are separate playgrounds for each age group which is wonderful so you don’t have to worry about the older kids overpowering the little ones. This school has so much to offer to keep your kid engaged with fun learning activities. The staff genuinely cares for your child like their own. The teachers and staff are just awesome and they all do such a great job with the kids! The tuition may seem high but it is well worth it. Although this is a large preschool with many students, the staff is very personable and treats you like family – very welcoming. We plan on enrolling my youngest when he’s old enough.

CMP has been, and continues to be, a high quality choice for preschool. My cousins, who are now in their 30s attended, my nephew who is in his 20s attended and our now 4 year old has been a student there since he was 18 months old and we couldnt be happier.When we were searching for preschool options for our son we knew CMP had to be on the list, but when we toured we fell in love with the campus, curriculum and staff. The campus feels tranquil, there is an outdoor music garden, art studio and tinkering space, a garden where the kids grow and eat fruits and vegetables, the playground equipment is well maintained, and the classrooms are kept fresh. They also do several family events during the year both in the classroom and up on their field. Some of our favorites are when Hullabaloo comes or Rhythm Child - my son really loves drumming! I also appreciate that they will often have a parent night with a talk from someone they have brought in to train the staff. We attended a conscious discipline last year and it was really helpful for our parenting, but to also learn what techniques the teachers are learning.My son started going there at 18 months and only had about 10 words. Within 2 weeks he was up to 25 words and we have continued to see big jumps in his comprehension. I remember when we toured they emphasized that this was a true preschool setting and not just daycare. I was skeptical, but I have to say it really is true. He seems to have grasped things at a much earlier age than his older brother did who was in a true daycare setting until he was 3.All of the teachers are awesome, very loving and caring. it feels like a big family. My son looks forward to going to school every day and even asked if his teachers could come to his birthday party.

My favorite thing about my school is the playground. I love the slides and the monkey bars. I like the mud kitchen. My teachers are nice and kind and help me anytime. My friends are nice. After touring several local schools, we enthusiastically settled on CMP for our son. It stood out as a place that offered many more enriching experiences than the other schools, specifically the science, music, and art programs. We were delighted to watch him develop and grow in ways that we were unable to pursue at home, and were similarly happy with the loving, patient, and supportive environment created by the staff. My husband and I frequently say to each other, man, his school is the best. Because they really are!

Both of our children attend Carmel Mountain Preschool. They enjoy it so much they WANT to go to preschool. We are constantly impressed at the educational and learning opportunities provided. Our children really enjoy the activities and have come so far since starting at CMP. All of the staff are excellent and really care about their jobs and the children in their care.

We cant say enough great things about Carmel Mountain Preschool. Our 4 year old twins started in the fall of 2015 and they love it! We decided to put them in separate classrooms for the first time and they are both excelling socially and academically. Our daughter is in Mrs. Christinas class and our son is in Miss Micheles class -- both of their teachers are truly amazing. They are loving, caring, and patient. Mrs. Christina and Miss Michele are always sending us picture via emails of our kids while they are having fun in their classrooms -- its such a nice touch!The campus is on 3.5 acres of land and has several age appropriate playgrounds for all ages. The kids especially love the outdoor messy art studio, the garden, and the critter station where they learn about animals and insects.We love CMP! Well be sad to leave when our kids start kindergarten next year.

The school is like one big family. The owners really take pride in the school--they are always looking for ways to make it even better, from upgrading to the latest equipment to offering new enrichment programs (included with tuition). This year the teachers all have classroom email addresses and they are sending pictures and updates on a regular basis. I will have those classroom stories and pictures in my gmail forever! Love it.

My daughter Hazel loves going to school at Carmel Mountain Preschool and looks forward to it every day. I like how a lot of the staff and teachers know her name. I also like how many different activities they do at the school to keep her engaged. Its a very positive learning environment and has been the ideal place for Hazel to grow intellectually and socially. One of her teachers told me that Hazel is one of the first kids to call out colors, numbers and shapes when the classroom is asked. I think CMP has really contributed to Hazels excelled performance and I hope that she continues to be one of the brightest stars at school.

My family is one of the original Carmel Mountain Preschool families 35 years ago. While the school has grown and expanded it has never lost the feel of being like extended family. My sister and I both attended and now my son is a second generation enrollee.CMP makes sure that the transition is comfortable for the parents as well as the child.The entire staff is skilled at comforting parents while gracefully guiding them in letting go and allowing the child to become independent.It is not just daycare. Carmel Mountain Preschool focuses on each child’s physical, social, emotional and academic development. They provide exposure to art, music, tinkering activities that develop fine motor skills and plenty of physical outdoor fun playtime.My son has absolutely fallen in love with every one of his teachers! They truly love and take care of him as if he were one of their own. It is a relief to go to work with my mind at ease knowing that my son is being well taken care of.

Very good friends of mine (The Freys) sends their 3 year old, Abbey, to Carmel Mountain Preschool, and she LOVES it! They do all sorts of fun activities (building robots out of boxes, feeding chickens, tinker lab, etc). They even had a snow day in July, which looked like a blast! The facility is clearly dedicated to expanding the horizons of the little ones in their care!

I looked long and hard for a preschool to enroll my son in. I ultimately chose Carmel Mountain Preschool because of the curriculum and wonderful environment that my son can thrive in while hes there. The staff are friendly, informative, and work extremely well with their kids. The grounds are clean and safe, and the children have many different environs with which they occupy throughout the course of the day -- from the classroom, to the playground, to the awesome greenhouse/garden! I highly recommend CMP as a great way to further your childs development in preparation for kindergarten.

Our daughter has been here for a year and a half and we cannot sing their praises enough! We are so happy with the teachers and school. They do an exceptional job incorporating an array of extracurricular activities with the children; everything from snow days in the winter, splash days in the summer, gardening, cooking, bringing in a bounce house, music and crafts. They have an outdoor school where the children visit a biologist who brings in various insects and animals to show and teach the children about. The instruction there is also outstanding. Our daughter has surprised us with mastering skills such as the alphabet, days of the week, counting and now writing. She enjoys going there so much that she gets upset when we tell her its the weekend and she cannot go to school today. If you are looking for a preschool for your child, I would strongly recommend this one. I cant imagine a better place.

My twins started here when they were a little shy of 2 years old when I returned to work full time. We fell in love with the campus, their teachers and the entire staff. Being pregnant and handling drop offs/pick ups can be challenging with twins but I am so thankful for all the times someone has helped me to the carry my kids items and oftentimes even the kids themselves! They have so many activities planned such as the pumpkin patch, snow day, and Santa visits all the while getting to express their creativity through crafts or art activities. I appreciate that every time Ive picked them up they are well covered with sunscreen by their teachers and that I love getting pictures/updates via email of how their day is going. I was most impressed with their constant attention to the children in the care of the teachers here...recently I received a call wanting to confirm that my childrens lunch sandwiches were peanut butter-free. I had packed sunflower butter sandwiches this time (as opposed to the typical almond butter I usually use) which really resembles peanut butter. The school called to make sure and I was so impressed and thankful for their concern. Im happy to see my kids express their love for their teachers because this is how I know they are truly in the best care. Thank you CMP for making us feel so welcome and giving me complete peace of mind with the two loves of my life!

Sending my girls to CMP was the single best decision I made when moving cross country to California. Every teacher weve had has been loving, caring and skilled in dealing with little ones. They talk about their teachers at home and on weekends and even long after theyve moved onto a different class. The office staff is always welcoming and ready to jump in and help us sort out any issue, from paperwork to forgotten lunches. I cannot say enough about this school and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a loving environment where their kids can learn and grow.

My 3 year old son started with Carmel Mountain Preschool three months ago and we couldnt be happier with the set up. He had been with a full time nanny since he was three months old, but we wanted him to have more integration with other children so decided to enroll him for half days when he was 2. We were pretty nervous about the whole thing and visited a lot of preschools. With most of them we walked away feeling a bit disheartened.Carmel Mountain Preschool has great energy and the grounds are beautiful. There is so much space and such a variety of things/places for the kids to explore. We dont feel hes been cooped up in a little classroom all day which is how we felt about other preschools we visited. We walked away from our tour feeling like we would love to have our son attend this preschool.Our experience so far has lived up to our expectations. Our son loves going and always has stories to tell us about the fun things hes done - bounce houses, fire trucks visiting, planting seeds, etc. His classroom posts pictures once a week, so we get to see what hes been up to all week and talk to him about it. Hes established a close bond with his teachers which as a parent, you love to see.He was partially potty trained when we enrolled him and delayed in his speech. Hes made big strides in his language skills since he started and is also completely potty trained which is huge. We love Carmel Mountain Preschool, and plan to keep him here until hes ready for kindergarten!

I cant recommend Carmel Mountain Preschool enough. I have sung their praises since the first moment our oldest daughter stepped into their doors at just two years old. As new parents, we were apprehensive and scared to leave our little one. I am so grateful she was in such loving and capable hands, and it made the goodbye each morning that much easier knowing she was getting not only the love and attention she needed, but she was learning & exploring so much more than we could have ever imagined!Now three years later, our two year old son now has the privilege of sharing each weekday with CMP. Their caring staff has welcomed us each and every day with a hello and a smile. Their teachers go above and beyond for each child in and out of the classroom. I am still taken aback each time the kids and I walk through the hallways and countless teachers say hello to the kids by name even though they never had them in their classroom. We also cant tell you how much we adore Miss Ellen in your toddler room. You have found a gem of a teacher and we count ourselves so lucky to be in her classroom. She truly is amazing with the kids and our son adores her. She has a heart of gold as well as an abundance of patience. She is so creative and I am truly amazed at how many hands on activities she does with the little ones. I love all the art work that we get to take home and the pictures we are emailed that give us a glimpse into the kids day. I cant thank you enough for caring for our children as if they were your own. Thank you for all you day every day!!!

I cannot say enough good things about this school! My husband and I struggled to find the right school to send our 2.5 year old son to after he had enjoyed being with his grandparents while we were at work. From the first time we took a tour and observed all of the wonderful programs CMP has to offer, we were convinced that this was the place to send him. The school has exceeded our expectations with regard to curriculum. Our sons language skills have improved immensely, and hes gaining access to art, science, and tinkering programs he wouldnt have been exposed to at home. Beyond that, the staff at this school is loving, kind, communicative, and professional. We love CMP!

My stepson has been attending Carmel Mountain Preschool for the last two years. Having been able to participate in some of the activities they have for the children there, its quite apparent they have created a wonderful environment where kids can grow, learn, and thrive. We spent many hours investigating local preschools, and many aspects of CMP set it aside from others -- including but not limited to: dedicated and attentive staff, a greenhouse where kids can learn about growing flowers/plants, and carefully laid-out classrooms that promote a positive learning environment. When we have more children (and provided we remain in this same area) we will definitely enroll them at Carmel Mountain Preschool -- and I highly recommend you consider them for your children, as well.

Carmel Mountain Preschool has been wonderful for our three year old son. Hes there all day and they provide a great mix of circle time learning and free play. The playgrounds are nice and they even have a nature center and art studio! The teachers are friendly and caring and make themselves available if you have questions. Everyday I pick my son up hes excited to show me new things and artwork in his classroom. Makes me feel great at the end of a work day to know that he had fun with his classmates and teachers. And hes always surprising us with new things hes learned! We couldnt be happier with our preschool choice.

We love CMP! My daughter has been attending the school for 2 year now. She started as a shy 3 year old with Mrs. Kristina and is now a confident 4 year old with Mrs. Shamby. We love everything about the school. The teachers are wonderful and she is learning so much! She really enjoys going to the art studio and also the Glenn. The facility is clean and the staff are so friendly. They have great communication with the families and send out monthly newsletters which I love. Its also great they are so involved in posting to social media. I feel like I always know whats going on at the school.

CMP is the most special preschool around! Both of my children attend CMP. The ability to drop them off and know that they are in such good hands is priceless. CMP is so much more than teaching letters and numbers. In addition to the basics, they teach kindness, respect, responsibility, and so many more crucial values. They build the confidence of each child by making sure they know they are loved and always feel included. Not to mention all the activities the children are exposed to: tinkering/wood-shop (yes even at 2 years old), art studio with every medium of art, the glen where they learn about and pet different types of animals, musical concerts, and so much more! Even though its a big school, it really feels like a family. I cherish our school and do not look forward to the kids getting older and leaving this piece of paradise!

CM Preschool has so many positives its tough to capture them all in a short review. Ill start with the staff from the Directors to the teachers all really care about the well being of your child. Our son has grown socially and academically since attending CMP. This place is professionally ran which gives us parents piece of mind when dropping off such precious cargo for the day. My wife and I both love Carmel Mountain Preschool. The staff here (both the teachers and the administration) are wonderful, and the facilities are top notch! They have an array of fun activites for the kids everyday, and some really great playgrounds that my daughter enjoys very much. My daughter is happy and always had fun stories for us when we pick her up at the end of the day. And most importantly, I feel like CMP is giving my daughter a great education.I will not hesitate to also send my younger son here once he is old enough to attend. I couldnt be happier so far with my experience with CMP!

We are so happy with Carmel Mountain Preschool. It’s unlike other preschools we’ve experienced. They have created an indoor/outdoor learning environment where the kids can explore, learn and play. It’s a wonderful place where you wish you could be a kid again and spend your days painting in the art studio or building toys at tinker hollow or getting your hands dirty in the glenn and learning about nature in the science lab. Our daughter loves her teacher who has created a loving and encouraging classroom. At the end of the day when we pick her up she tells us all about the great things she got to build, create and experience that day. We couldn’t be happier seeing our daughter thrive at CMP.

A year ago, I wrote a review, based on our short, but wonderful experience with CMP. Now, my son has been enrolled for another year, and things are only getting better! He stayed through the summer program (LOVED IT), and we increased his time there. He is in a new classroom this year, and he did great with all the changes. The staff makes transitioning to a new room, with a new teacher, and new kids and new schedule so easy! He loves everyone there, and has so much fun saying hi to EVERYONE! Every day when we leave, he stops in the office for his daily hug from Ms Gina or Ms Donna. CMP is great, and when little sister is ready, we cant wait for her to start!

I would highly recommend Carmel Mountain Preschool to parents looking for a encouraging and thriving environment for their pre schoolers.My 2.5 year old daughter has been in the program for around 3 months and we have noticed marked improvement in her social and communication skills. Carmel Mountain Preschool has provided an environment where our three year old daughter has absolutely thrived. She loves going to preschool each day where she is greeted by her sweet, enthusiastic teacher, Mrs. Lisa. She creates an environment that fosters a love of learning and they encourage their students to develop independence and social skills. Our daughter enjoys going to CMP’s garden and art studio and ballet and the opportunity to spend lots of time playing outdoors. We have been a part of the CMP family for 3 years with two daughters attending in sequence and we could not be happier! Both children have been provided the most incredible experience that has lead to a love of learning and school. The teachers and staff are a special and unique group who truly care for and love each child there. The curriculum and social experiences are exceptional with science exploration in The Glenn (outdoor learning), art (art lab), special programs (visits from police, fire, Literature Comes to Life, and so many other unique experiences). The environment helps children grow and thrive, share and communicate, and learn to care for others and the world around us. I would give 10 stars if I could, and wouldnt EVER change the decision to have our children attend CMP.

CMP is a group of caring, dedicated and patient teachers and staff members who go above and beyond the expectations of the parents who entrust them with their children. The classrooms are child focused, clean, filled with books, art equipment, toys and other learning tools. Their playgrounds are safe, secure and age appropriate. The special areas like The Glen, the Messy Art Studio and Tinkering Hollow are incredible experiences for kids. The emphasis on community, environment and friendship is always present. And on top of all of that there is the fresh passion fruit gelato and the Hullabaloo concerts and family yoga nights! Once more, the teachers and the staff are truly exceptional. CMP is a jewel. I cant recommend CMP enough.

Carmel Mountain Preschool is the best decision weve made when it comes to selecting a day care for our daughter. CMP has the best staff, a safe and warm environment, a variety of classes for our daughter to learn and explore. Our daughter comes home telling us about her wonderful adventure at the Glen, the art studio and the music yard. Every day we walk through the front door, our daughter is super excited and greets all the teachers by their name and surprisingly they all know her by name too. I could not be happier with our choice to have our daughter attend CMP! Even tho the transition from home care to preschool was difficult for our 20 month old (and us!), the teachers and staff of CMP were so patient, kind, and supportive of our daughter and made her feel loved and safe. She is now 3 and LOVING IT! I could go on and on about the amazing values and perks that CMP has...from organic snacks, to tinker lab (Im jealous!), to nature lab, to the garden, to live chickens they can interact with and collect eggs, to outdoor messy art studio, to all the great playgrounds and classrooms, to the family events such as Hulabaloo concerts, hip hop class, drum circle, family yoga... Its the little things that make this place so special to us. Like the time I came to pick my daughter up early and found her beloved teacher rocking her back to sleep, or when my daughter excitedly came home to tell us how she collected fall leaves with her other teacher, or how she nows sprints away from me at drop off to go jump into her teachers arms. This is what preschool is all about...teaching these kids how to navigate the big world with kindness and expanding their young beautiful minds, while making parents feel ok leaving their kid there each day. Our son has been a student at CMP since summer 2018 and he absolutely LOVES it! He was previously at a chain daycare center and what a difference it is between there and CMP! He was picking up bad habits such as not sharing, hitting, and throwing tantrums which was so not like him. He would come home upset and not tell us why. That was our main reason for seeking something different. Within a few short weeks at CMP our son was thriving! Learning manners, coming home happy, never crying at drop off, and he actually asks to stay longer at school even after he is there 8 hours per day! He constantly talks about his adventures at school, his friends, and his teachers. We could not recommend CMP more highly!

We love being a part of the CMP family! Weve now been at the school for almost two years. When a work promotion gave us only a few weeks to move, our biggest concern was finding just the right place for us. As soon as we walked onto the campus at CMP, we knew we had found a school unlike any other. The staff was warm and welcoming from the very beginning. We loved all of the amenities available to the students.Over these past two years, we have enjoyed field trips, family concerts, Snow Days, and other special events. What I love the most (and my son too!) are the gardening, science and music programs in the Glenn as well as Messy Art activities. We have never been part of a school that is so well-rounded, not only academically, but offers such amazing opportunities for the kids to explore nature, science and art.I love that the school’s snacks are organic and that they use all natural soaps and cleaning products. These things are very important to us in our home, and it’s wonderful that at school we don’t need to worry about exposure to harmful chemicals.Thank you CMP for being an extension of our home and providing our son with a loving, nurturing environment!

We love CMP! Our daughter has auditory processing sensitivities and we were very careful about finding the right preschool for her. This is our second year and we couldnt be happier! If we could keep her there for her entire education we would! ;) We were initially drawn by the friendly, caring staff and the unique opportunities to learn at The Glenn, The Studio (and at that time, Mr. Joe and his animals!) And when we found out that CMP uses natural cleaners and offers organic food, we couldnt have been more excited! We continue to be impressed. The staff goes above and beyond and has been really understanding of our familys/ daughters needs. The extra-curricular activities offered are great, from the field trips to the extra classes to the family events! The improvements to the school over the last year focusing more on nature and nature-play are loved by these 2 zookeeper parents! Thank you CMP!

My daughter has been attending CMP since Summer 2016. She has learned so much from her classes. We really had a positive experience. My two year old son also began attending this Summer. It took awhile for him to adjust to the school since he was so used to being with me at home all the time. But his teachers (Ms. Katelyn and Ms. Yuki) were very patient and understanding. They would always talk to him and hold him every time I dropped him off. So I felt very comfortable leaving him with them. Since then, he has become very talkative and is very happy at CMP.

As a first time parent I spoke with many of my co- workers regarding the best preschool in San Diego. I had already started the process of enrolling my son in a local Montessori School but decided to take a last minute tour of CMP per the recommendation of many physicians at my hospital. I walked in with my 10 day old baby strapped on to me and felt so comfortable immediately. All of the staff was so nice and genuinely happy to be working with children. As I toured the facility I realized how many great activities they have for the children to participate in. In addition to receiving an education he would also be well rounded with all of the extracurricular activities available. I changed my mind and enrolled him at CMP. He was able to start in the Summer and the transition was seamless. I have watched him grow and develop over these past 8 months. He is happy to go to school every morning and I know that he is safe and well taken care of while at school. I highly recommend CMP and have no regrets.

I had driven by Carmel Mountain Preschool a million times and always figured that it would be out of our price range, and in spite of that, I made an appointment to tour the preschool. I am so glad that I did! Gina was so friendly and showed me around the school. I was totally impressed with the campus- both indoors and outdoors. It proved to be within our budget, so after touring two other less expensive facilities, which could not even begin to compare with CMPS, I enrolled my daughter at CPMS. Within two months of beginning, our 3 year old was potty trained and loving school. She adores her teachers, Miss May and Miss Melissa, and we could not be more pleased with her progress. She sings songs, marches around the house practicing letter sounds, and her sight-sound recognition improves daily. We love CMPS and are so pleased with our daughters progress and apparent happiness. The staff are truly caring and dedicated to our daughters experience. I would recommend this preschool to anyone seeking quality care and education for their child.

Carmel Mountain Preschool has been such a wonderful experience for our daughter. We moved to San Diego from out-of-state when Brooke was 2 years old, so finding a new school for her to transition to was very important to us. CMP has been outstanding in every way. The staff (Directors & Teachers alike) truly love being there which make each day special and fun. Brooke has been embraced as part of the CMP family from Day 1 which has made our move to California feel like home.Coming from a background of Education, the curriculum was a crucial reason for us choosing Carmel Mountain. Brooke is enjoying the Splash into PreK curriculum now and Ive been thoroughly impressed. I love how her teachers take a topic and teach the children through multiple sensory activities to hit on different learning styles - watching Brooke practice writing her letters in shaving cream is such a fun & unique way to learn the alphabet!Overall, I couldnt say more positive things about this school. Theyve been a consistent positive experience in our lives and a place we love sending our daughter to every day!

My daughter turned 5 in June so we were conflicted on whether to send her to kindergarten or not. We had just moved to the area and wanted to see our options for her. We found CMP and decided to do a year of the Kinder-Prep program. I called in April and they had 2 spots left. My daughter is the oldest in the class (most of the kids are turning 5 this fall or early winter) but she has fit in seamlessly. I love the way the class is a balance of play and academics. My daughter is really exhibiting pre-reading signs and feeling really excited about learning. There are 24 students in the class, with 2 teachers, so I feel like it will prep her for the bigger class sizes in elementary school. In addition, Kinder-Prep is the only class at the school to receive the elective wheel where they get 6 weeks of gymnastics, woodworking, music, etc. I believe these are optional and fee based in the other classes. There are ipads in the classroom so students are exposed to technology, they get to rotate through the outdoor studio where a teacher engages them in creative projects, and they visit The Glen where a teacher teaches them about animals and gardening. It is a big school, but the staff really and try and get to know your child. I have to drop off my child early because of my job and everyday she gets a greeting from the morning teacher, even though they are not her classroom teachers. The office staff are friendly and the directors have planned several family events like Ice Cream Socials and concerts. I am very pleased with this Preschool thus far. I am a teacher myself and I highly recommend the Kinder-Prep program. In addition, the price is very reasonable, especially with all the extras included in the Kinder-Prep program.

We enrolled our 3 year old in CMP this Summer and we were not sure how he will acclimate to a completely new environment. The teachers made him comfortable and allowed him to get comfortable at his pace. Now he looks forwards to going to school and loves being there; sometimes when we go to pick him up he is excited to show us what he is up to.Not only all the teachers but the whole staff is extremely friendly and they always greet kids with a smile.CMP has a fabulous facility with multiple playgrounds, large campus with greenery, a great nature lab and also an art studio. The classrooms are fresh and lively. They have schedule that includes a lot of outdoor activities that allow kids to learn while having a lot of fun.We highly recommend CMP to all the parents.

I have one graduate and one currently enrolled student at Carmel Mountain Preschool. I first looked at CMP after seeing some strip mall preschools which were unimpressive. I knew right away that this is the preschool I wanted for my boys.There are so many special features you wont find anywhere else! Acres of land, filtered clean air in the classrooms, zen garden with Mr. Joe who brings exotic animals for the kids to meet, a dedicated art teacher and studio, field trips, and fun days like snow day.They also have electives to choose from - gymnastics, sports, spanish, and music.Every teacher does something extra special. This year we have Miss Nicole and she sends the parents pictures of the kids doing their activities everyday so we can watch them while we are at work!

We love CMP! We enrolled our son when he turned three and had visited many different preschools in the area before making our decision. After our first visit we were sold and knew that this would be the right place for him. Everyone there is amazing - the staff are so friendly and helpful and the teachers are truly special and really care about the kids in their class. As soon as our daughter was old enough to enroll, we were fully convinced that this was the right place and enrolled her at the beginning of this school year.Both kids love going to school in the morning and I feel that they have unbelievable connections with their teachers. They have learned so much, we are consistently amazed with the things they are picking up! The field trips are great and they have some wonderful events that happen at the school for both the kids as well as the families which have allowed us to connect to other parents in the area which has been great. I would highly recommend anyone with young children enrolling their children here as we have been not but impressed with CMP.

My 2.5 year old son started at CMP this fall. We were looking for someplace he could have interaction with other kids, a structured environment, with FUN. We found all of that...and MORE at CMP! From his first day, we have been so thankful for the care he gets, and the FUN he has during his time there. He wakes up every day and asks to change his clothes for school. He cant wait to grab his lunchbox and get in the car. When I pick him up, he doesnt hesitate to sing the songs he learned. He always tells me that he had fun with friends, and fun with Ms Liz and Ms Margaret, and that he did a painting or played with cars and animals. He is greeted with smiles and warmth every time he walks in. I couldnt be happier with Carmel Mountain Preschool!

My daughter started here this past summer and it has been about 2 months since she has been attending CMP. We had grandma watching her for the past 2 years and my daughter loved being with grandma all day so we were worried about the transition to an all day school, but CMP has been fantastic for our daughter. She loves coming and has even said that shed rather go to school than to stay at home with grandma.She has had Ms. Aishlinn and Mrs. Chrystal, and my daughter loves her 2 teachers! They post photos up on a separate Shutterfly account everyday which we love to see and I greatly appreciate this as I feel like I get to see what my daughter does each week! There are always so many fun activities for the kids and I send her to school each day knowing that she is in good and caring hands. I am so happy that we decided to send her to CMP and am excited for her future years at the preschool. I would whole-heartedly recommend CMP to anyone looking for a great environment for your little ones to grow.

This Fall our Granddaughter who is now in the Pre-K program, began her second year at Carmel Mountain Preschool. Every morning she is full of enthusiasm and ready to head out the door for school. As grandparents who are not local, we don’t get to see this excitement every day, but when we are in town we are so very impressed with how she has mastered her letters, letter sounds and numbers. We spend time watching and listening to her new found delight in her ability to read and write.We are absolutely positive this comes from the incredible learning environment that is in place at CMP. During our visits to the school we have seen how busy the children are, interacting with one another whether they are outside releasing energy or inside working quietly at their tables. You can see their joy when learning a new letter or a set of numbers or maybe a new shape. We have also found that CMP isn’t just school all the time. There are many after school planned activities plus many events for getting the whole family involved with their preschool child. And some days are spent on fun filled field trips visiting places the children are always curious about.This is not an ordinary preschool. This is a 1st class, well organized, very clean environment with an exceptional staff. We wish to thank everyone who is responsible for making CMP our family’s preschool of choice.

We had our daughter at CMP for Pre-K (preschool) last school year. Now we are well into her year of Kindergarten Prep at CMP and we are absolutely thrilled with her social and emotional growth. She is a very sensitive child and CMP staff has been more than willing to work with us and accommodate her needs while also supporting her growth. I have been equally impressed with the curriculum; she is already able to spell/write many words, recognize countless sight words, and even understands and applies the concepts of addition and subtraction. And heres the thing, the teachers make it all fun, so they play and sing songs while learning. I am truly impressed with how much they have taught her thus far and I love how much confidence she has when it comes to reading writing and math. We are thrilled to have found this school for our daughter!

We looked at several pre-schools before deciding on CMP. Our daughter has a very introverted personality and I was afraid she would not do well socializing in an environment without some parent support until she was a bit bigger. Her teacher Ms. Lisa has been so carin and supportive of her that she immediately felt comfortable in her class. Its not like my daughter doesnt have an out going personality, she just needed to feel secure to help grow outside of our parental bubble.I love the pre-schools layout and you really get a lot of bang for your buck here, but the loving relationship my daughter has with her teacher is what gives this place five stars. Other parents I have spoken to here have said the same about their teachers as well. Really appreciate the staff!

My wife and I enrolled our children in the summer session 2016 as we moved to the PQ area over the summer. Since then all three of our kids have gone to CMPS and we have been absolutely blown away by the experience weve had. The teachers have been excellent with our kids, both kids LOVE going to school and the progress weve seen in them intellectually has been tremendous. Our two year old is talking and sharing like he never has before, our four year old knows her alphabet and can write her own name now! Everyone on the staff is extremely friendly and quick to respond any time we have a question or need an issue addressed. They go above and beyond to schedule extracurricular activities for the families to get to know each other as well (Ice Cream Socials, Drumming event, Open Houses, parent appreciation day, etc., etc., etc., we would absolutely 100% recommend CMPS to anyone who asked. Thank you CMP for being so great!

Our daughter started at Carmel Mountain Preschool this fall when she turned 18 months (the minimum age). My wife had attended CMP in the 1980s when she was little, so she loved having our daughter share the same excellent facility that she had learned, played, and gained social skills at in the years before elementary school. Some of the original staff are still around making CMP great! 30 years later and they have now expanded their school footprint with multiple buildings, playgrounds, fields, and even solar panels! The class our daughter is in is taught by two loving, sweet and amazing women. We get e-mail updates regularly with photos and the school regularly hosts family interactive activities (concerts, picnics, school performances) so there is definitely a real effort by CMP to keep the parents involved. We will very likely have our daughter at CMP for all 4 years till she starts elementary school. Thanks Carmel Mountain Preschool for being a safe and amazing place for our daughter!

My wife and I have been taking our daughter to CMP for nearly three years now. Choosing CMP has been one of the best decisions we have ever made. CMP is a true school, not just a facility to babysit your children. They require that all of there staff has formal training in early child development or education. This is a family owned business for more than 33 years who knows what theyre doing. CMP is constantly reinvesting in there facility and our daughters future. Weve seen the results, and thats why I highly recommend CMP.

Wow, awesome, exceptional, thrilled...I could go on. Both of my children have attended CMP. The youngest is still there. The oldest still loves to go help pick up her little sister to give all the faculty and staff hugs. Even in the past few years the school has continued to grow and blossom. It is clear that investments are being used wisely for the health of the children (organic chef for snack time, solar power, hepa filters) and for their growth and minds. The Glen is an amazing space of nature and beauty containing the Art Studio and Science Lab. Exploring nature, gardening, art through nature, animals, creatures, insects, composting...you name it, they learn, explore, touch and experience it. In the classroom the focus is on the whole child: character building, social skills, community awareness, academic skills, art and music, motor skills, problem solving.... ok, I could go on and on, but I think you get the idea. WELL ROUNDED education and care is what CMP is all about. The kids are so happy and thrive and that is all due to the incredible staff and teachers who are genuinely passionate about what they do and ensuring the best experience for each and every child and family. Parents are strongly encourage to be involved if/when possible through field trips, class activities/experiences, class reading and more. Group and personal email communication keeps me informed of classroom activities and even the pedagogy and learning theory behind them. Absolutely worth the investment in your childs development.
