Online service and website management leaves a lot to be desired. Locking out of required online course before the in-classroom class day was not a good experience for me. It was annoying and stressing, after all its required and it represents money loss. Having to call or send an email, then wait for a reply was a waste of my time. Payees should have access to the course without interruption till seconds before in-classroom class!Saving graces: got a reply to my help email, good course content and well trained and throughout instructors. Thanks Patricia I had fun! (even though I hurt my hand with the compressions. It was a good learning experience).Overall: 1of5 star for online service, 4of5 stars online course content, 5of5 for trained instructor.

I had to re-new my CPR/First Aid Adult/Child/Infant certification as mines expires next month, and I need it to continue working with a school district. After an internet search, I found out that A-B-CPR had Saturday classes available; which is awesome or else I would have had to take a work-day off for weekday classes. Plus, their prices were 100% better than the first CPR/First Aid class I ever took.The instructor I got was Trish, and I couldnt have asked for a better instructor. She is informative, quick to answer questions, and truly explains everything clearly so everyone can comprehend it. Also I must note, she is quick-witted, humorous, kind, respectful, and made the whole class very fun.Thank you for existing A-B-CPR & First Aid Training Inc.! Definitely my go-to renewal class for now on.Other Notes ☕: They offer free coffee all morning (Trish kindly offered), there is a microwave & refrigerator in case you brought lunch for one of the longer classes, and there are snacks you can buy for $1 each, that $$$ goes toward a charity fundraiser. There are plenty of breaks throughout class, so you wont be stuck in a non-stop straight 6-hour lesson

It cant be easy during a pandemic to run classes like this but these folks did an excellent job. The online portion was just the right length and content and easy to access. The practical skills class was also informative. I actually left the class thinking that was actually fun when I anticipated it might be a bit of a drag. Tricia was a great instructor who made the learning interactive and kept it fun while also covering all the necessary info.

On Sunday, March 21, I took a CPR and First Aid training class, it was a magnificent experience. Miss. Marla, my instructor, she was extraordinary; I highly recommend this A-B CPR and First Aid training. They are amazing, and they have you learning hands-on which excellent instead of just teaching by just reading a CPR book. I loved it!

It was such a pleasure to take my CPR/First Aid class with Trish! She was excellent with the pace of the class and I loved all of the examples she used. See you in two years, Trish!

A-B-CPR training was very informative and useful. I learned a lot of very critical and important CPR techniques, as well as what to do in case of an emergency. The class instructor, Patricia was awesome. She made the class fun and interesting, and kept everything simple and easy to follow. Definitely will come back to get my renewal done here.

ABCPR was a great choice for me to update my CPR and First Aid as well as the Health and Safety class required for my job in childcare! Marla Shiner was fun and kept things moving so we were able to cover a lot in a short amount of time on a weekend!

I took an 8 hour childcare cpr and first aid class with Jason Kullman, and it was great. He made the class interesting and informative.

I did the hybrid online and in person training and loved it. I could do the course at my own pace and then put in to practice what I learned online. The female instructor was joyful and made it fun! I would highly recommend this company and course.

This place is great! They are open during COVID19 but definitely social distancing and following guidelines so I felt safe in my class yesterday. Trisha our teacher was awesome and really funny! Very professional and highly recommended. Will be back in 2 years!

Was pretty surprised to attend this class and have the instructor not wear a mask for the entire 2hr duration. Additionally she told the class that it was ok not to wear theirs because we were socially distancing. Yes, we were each at our own table, but we were also in a small room with no open doors or windows for 2hrs with many participants and the instructor not wearing masks and I’m not entirely sold that the tables were actually 6ft apart.The class in and of itself was not bad, but still I’m shocked and appalled.

I really enjoyed the combo CPR+First Aid class with Mike and Trish! There was tons of hands on practice, and the information was presented well and easy to understand. The 6 hours went by quickly, and not a minute was wasted. My only tip for other students would be to bring your own food for snacks/lunch time, as most food options are at least 5-10min away.

I took the class 2 days ago in the new building on El camino Real. Patricia was my teacher and she was my teacher two years ago also. She is awesome, friendly and very good at teaching the class. I have to renew every two years and I will go there again and again. Thank you

Trisha was an awesome instructor - clearly knowledgeable and experienced, but also engaging and personable. She reviewed the online learning portion quickly and efficiently, then moved on to the practice portion. While the course went very quickly, she explained things in a way that was clear and understandable so that nothing needed repeating. She carefully answered any questions that came up and provided real life experiences to add depth to the learning. She brought energy and enthusiasm to the class, which made it enjoyable, even on a Wednesday evening after a long day of work!

Great Class! I did the CPR and First Aid and it was a blast. Did half on the class online and did the other half in person. The instructor was very nice and gave lots of facts since she works at the Urgent Care Unit. Answered all of our questions and corrected us when we were not doing it right. It was cheaper than the Red Cross and it was worth every penny. Again, great class.

Trish was so concise and organized presenting the procedures for easy retention. This renewal class is every two years and difficult to retain new knowledge as it seems to be comprehensive and not easily retained if you actually had a situation. I know with her instruction if I needed to use the CPR I would know exactly what to do. Everything she presented was actual real time scenarios. She was attentive to this member techniques and giving good interventions on improvement. Very enjoyable 3 hrs.

My girlfriend just came back from a CPR class, and told that the instructor didn’t wear a face mask, didn’t ask the participants to wear a face mask, and didn’t really require people to socially distance. I can’t really speak to the quality of the class, but asking a bunch of people to be in an enclosed space for hours at a time is really irresponsible. Please help your instructors do better. People in health education should have this basic stuff down.

Patricia did an amazing job!! We were fortunate to attend a class in the midst of COVID-19. Needless to say we were both impressed with her level of organization, professionalism, humor, her command of the material & presentation.

I took the 8 hour Preventive Health Class with Marla. She is a gifted instructor who manages to cover a vast amount of very important information in a fun and interesting way. Marla really cares that everyone understands what she is teaching and frequently checks in with the group to see if we have a clear understanding of the laws and policies pertaining to child care. It was a pleasure to spend the day learning with Marla because she is a unique instructor who has a deep understanding of the subject matter and she really wants her students to share their knowledge and experiences and to walk out of her class really knowing the how best to care for children and to follow the law. I wish all training instructor were as knowledgeable and professional as Marla.

Best CPR Class ever I go every two years! Covid 19 didn’t stop them from offering social distance classes and online final test for BLS CPR. They are current on all new American Heart Associations regulations and protocols.

This could have been a miserable weekend! These classes were extremely informative and the instructor, Marla, was super entertaining. I would never participate in a class ( Im pushing 50 ) but I found myself speaking out.. that is how comfortable I was and how fun Marla made the class. Let me also add that shes a fantastic teacher.. she made it so you just cant forget. I took the 8 hours of Preventative and Nutrition and another 8 hours, the next day, of CPR and First Aid. I highly recommend and will be returning in 2 years to renew my cps and first aid certificate.

I enjoyed Marlas class on 2/11/18, it was informative, even though Ive taken the class previously. She was attentive to the needs and interest of the students and kept things moving through the day. It was helpful that she too has or is a preschool director herself and knows the challenges we face collectively. I thought on your on honor snack for a good cause was a nice touch as well.

Marla was passionate and informative, I left that training confident and full of knowledge. She is one of the best trainers Ive had in the past 25 years. This place was great. My instructor Maddie not only made the process easy and understandable but funny and enjoyable. It was also nice that the classes were late to where I didnt spend a chunk of my day on them and could get it done in the evening where I wouldnt have to reschedule other appointments. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing training.

I have taken the CPR and First Aid course with A-B-Cpr three times. I have taken classes with Mike and Marla and they are both great! They do a great job getting the training across in ways that anyway can learn and remember. They are very dedicated to being sure you are prepared and able to help in case of an emergency. Not only are they detailed but they are entertaining enough to make the long hours go quickly. In addition to Mike and Marla, Angela is there assisting the class also and she is so sweet and helpful. I would highly recommend A-B-Cpr and will use them again when I have the need.

Our instructor Jason did an excellent job in the BLS renewal class for health care providers at the Carlsbad location. He was thorough, accurate, and considerate of our needs and our time. I felt freed from pressure and stress when I realized he knew what I needed to know and was going to assure that I did know it before issuing my card. Ill schedule this class again in two years for as long as I remain a nurse. Also, I appreciate the various locations and times available.

Laura, the instructor was great. she spoke loud and clear.she gave us lots of information which any other classes never told me before. The only problem was the classroom located near by the basketball gym and kind of noisy when we left the door open. other than that its great class and the best instructor. Thank you.

Patricia Behan led a dynamite class. i had a little girl in a wheelchair start choking on a muffin and ABC training kicked in. That muffin flew out of her throats like a Blue Angel. Thanks to all of you at ABC. You instill confidence and there is no question I will step up and do the right thing. I relearned a lot and even got some new wrinkles on my brain from the new stuff I learned. Imagine that. A pleasant evening for sure.

The instructor, Trish, is excellent. She sets up an emergency scenario with a lot of imagery and sense of urgency that helps the student get into the role playing of the citizen first responder. She covers a lot of material, and there is hands on practice. I recommend this course.

Jason was our instructor and he was extremely informative. His presentation style was quick, but not to quick and it all seemed like easy listening. I took a 6 1/2 hour CPR and First Aid course and Trish (Patricia) made it go by in a BREEZE. The class was really fun and there was never a dull moment. I highly recommend taking a class here. Everyones questions were answered and I left feeling very informed and energized! She made sure that every question was answered and never missed a beat. I will be coming back here for my recertification in 2 years, that’s for sure.

I have been taking CPR and First Aid classes for over 25 years and this was by far the best class I have ever had! Marla was very informative and kept a cautious eye to make sure no one was overwhelmed with information or was unsure of the information she gave. Loved the class so much I may fly to California and just to take the classes after I move back home to Texas in a year.

I took the BLS for Healthcare professionals class to fulfill requirements for work and it was great! AHA certified and approved which is what my job required. Our Instructor Patricia was amazing! She taught us all the skills we needed to be confident in case of an emergency and also taught us cool ways to remember the different reps for different scenarios! I will definitely Re- Cert with them! Def worth the time and Money!

This was a great CPR/First Aid experience. Dr. Jason Kullmann really knew his stuff and added helpful insights of experiences. Well balanced between informative and fun without all the stupid jokes. Went to the training on a saturday my instructor was Trish and she was amazing. Made the class go by fast. An incident occured when a fellow classmate fainted and she stayed calm and very alert. (He is fine) overall it was repetitive to the point that it sticks to you. Which for me is great specially if a situation ever occurs i am ready! Thanks A-B-CPR! :)

I went to the Saturday class. My instructor was Maddie. She was awesome. So knowledgeable and very interesting. I would highly recommend this class. I took it because I wanted to.

I just completed the 6 1/2 hour course and the instructor, Marla Shiner, was just outstanding. These classes can be very boring if you dont have an active and informed instructor and Marla was all of this and more! It was money well spent! I would definitely recommend this company for your 1st aid/ CPR training.

Th Class was very informative and cleared many open questions. Marla was funny and straight to the point, so the class was entertaining while keeping a tone of seriousness.

The training was excellent as was the instructor, Trish. My problem was that it was the late evening class and by the time we took our written exam, it was 9 pm (several of us were tired)! My suggestion is have the evening class an hour earlier if possible or those of you who get up early, take the early class. I have taken many of these classes and must admit, this was one of the best.

A-B-COR & First Training was a great experience in my Nursing career. The young lady was very happy instructor and she put everyone to practice and she made sure everyone learn before they leave the class and the material used were great .

Dr. Kullman is an awesome teacher! He is funny and knowledgeable. His assistant, Angela, gets five stars, too! Sitting in the CPR and First Aid class was actually enjoyable--and met some great people, too. :)
