Cerricullum good teachers knowledge effort are good but staff is not cooperative for new students.. they are not guiding anything else except study, evertime u need to ask them first.. rhey shoul make some guideline for new students where they can mention about parent square, how to get CJ, extra hours.. etc.

They only support the kids whose parents donate to the school and they fail the students whose parents can’t afford to donate that’s what happened to my close friend he was a genius in his old school

I called today because I saw that there is a position open on Zip Recruiter. I called the one in the medical center. When I asked to speak to the hiring manager, the guy named Roger gave me an awkward silence as well as repeating hiring manager back at me like I was a fool. I dont know what is wrong with this person, but consider this as a red flag if they cant even be polite at the desk. So many people worth something could have his job. Thank you.

We moved from a private school to Basis Med Center and we are very happy with the move. We made a great decision! My daughter loves her new school, the says that teachers are the best of the best at basis! She goes to school with a smile and returns with a smile. You will see a great diversity of students and not only spoiled kids from private world! which is not the real world. I have to say, the school is not for everyone, if your child is not dedicated and hard working, this is not the school for them.

No school is perfect, but Basis Medical Center is pretty close to meeting my expectations of what an excellent school should be. I have a child with a 504 plan (special needs) and another who does not. Both children are doing very well (one has to work harder) and they both love it. For a school that has only been open 3 years, there will always be growing pains, but I saw a huge improvement this year. I just wish they had grades under 5th, but they are opening the school to K-4 in 2017. My caution to parents considering this school- do not expect to just dump your kids in this school. A childs success at Basis is directly related to the parents assistance in their adjustment. Once their adjustment is complete the parents work is not done, but it is noticeably less. One observation I would like to share as sensitively as possible: If my childs special need was significant enough to hinder her success here, I would never subject her to the decreased confidence and stress, failure would bring. In our case, her confidence has grown because she sees the direct correlation of her hard work and great grades. We are blessed to have found this school! Good luck!

I love Basis!!! It was an amazing school!!!! The only problem I had was the academic standards, which were too high for me to keep up with. Other than that, the school is amazing!!! The teachers make learning fun with activities and projects. You can even have time to talk to the teachers personally if you are having trouble!!! I love it!

I’ve gone to this school for 3 years my first year was alright but my last 2 years were kinda bad. some of the teachers would hate you if you did one thing and all they could do if a student did something was sent them to “detention”.

Two years as a student there and still no mentor assigned! They tell you all kids get a mentor but.... waiting, calling. Waiting. After school student-hours are too loud and uncontrolled to serve any purpose so we had to sign up for private tutoring since some teachers seem to think that all the kids already know all there is to know. They only help their pets. This could be a great school if all the teachers cared about the kids welfare and if they learned. The North location is much more caring.

My sisters son goes to this school. The bullying by the students and teachers is disturbing. When the school protects the bully and blows off the parents like it was no big deal especially when it was physical is beyond me. I have 3 kids in Basis Arizona, this kind of stuff should not happen. I feel guilty for advising my sister to enroll my nephew here .

We love BASIS and their philosophy. It is exactly what education should be and public school has lost sight of. My son was not enjoying school in the public school system. He was not being challenged enough even after being included in the Gifted and Talented program. His grades had begun to slip and he was losing interest in learning. Since he enrolled in BASIS, this has changed dramatically. It is amazing to see his desire to learn and his drive to succeed in school return. I know it is due to the passion of the teachers and staff and the vision of BASIS that he has taken an interest in his own education and matured in just a few short months. My two younger sons are are eagerly awaiting the opening of BASIS Primary. Were looking forward to them receiving the same opportunities my oldest has enjoyed. The teachers are hired for their expertise in the subject they teach. They have a great passion for their subject which translates to the students, getting them interested and eager to learn. The school is still regulated but not to the point of regular public schools where the teachers are required to teach a certain curriculum a certain way. This allows them to use their teaching gifts the way that works best in their classroom with those particular students. The only con is the smaller choice in extracurriculars. (Similar to most private and charter schools.) The students get to decide which programs will be offered but it is a small school so this limits what can be offered. They dont get as much funding as public schools so there is usually a small fee for the clubs. Much cheaper than paying for a private school, though! (i.e. the school itself is free.)If youre looking for a more stimulating education and you child has a desire to learn, this is the school for you.

I was really disappointed with the teaching methodology. I dont mind giving a lot of homework, but they do not pay any attention to childrens study. They give books and dont care. My child had better STAR results at the local school and her STAR exam results came down. If a child starts comes from 4th grade to 5th grade, they will use 7th grade math and will not help child to fill knowledge gap. I was very disappointed.

Worst school ever! If I knew then what I know now I would not let my kids go there. This school does not provide superior education. My kids standardized test scores are exactly the same percentage they always were. My absolutely brilliant child gets straight As and amazing AP and SAT scores but she would have gotten them any way. What she has not gotten is personal growth or leadership opportunities. There is NOTHING outside of academics. Every extra curricular opportunity we seek from the community. There is no theatre, choir, clubs, etc worth anything.Another of my kids opted to leave Basis for high school. There is NO comparison between the opportunities at Clark and Basis. Hands down Clark is the superior school.I let my kids stay because they really did not want to change schools in their sophomore or junior year. I would strongly advise against sending your kids here. Basis doesnt make them better, the numbers are good because only academically strong kids stay. Kids that have difficulty will not be supported. The support my child has gotten from Clark has been fantastic and has allowed her to grow in every area, academics, theatre, music, and socially.Basis Inc is For Profit. Basis schools are required to pay for the curriculum. All clubs etc must pay to exist. The school requires any student organization to rent school space. They will not allow student counsel. The high school kids do not organize dances, or socials or anything. The ask every family to contribute 1500 a year per student to the a teacher fund. This find is supposed to reward the teachers however it does not. They say they are giving to teachers when they use this money to buy supplies for the classroom. They keep track of who contrbuted and how much. These contributions seem to influence how kids are treated, I.e. the more you contribute the more favorable for your kid. They charged for seating to a school award ceremony.

We have withdraw our children from this school due to bullying. The nephew of one of the top people in the adminstrationl terrorizes the other children but apparently even threatening to bring a gun to school results in no consequences for him, rather the children who reported hearing the threats were bullied by administration and other students until they were forced to leave the school. My child was physically attacked in the halls. Lots of student apparently were leaving because of the bullying. If you are not rich, and if you work for a living and therefore cannot volunteer a lot of time at the school your kid will not be accepted. The administration does not want imput from parents unless its an imput of money into BASIS bank account....
