I love it, a great after school program, the staff is very friendly and they are great with they kids.

When I was solicited to sign up for this program I was told the kids would be doing Robotics and Engineering projects etc, which is TOTAL BS.They have maybe 2 “teachers” (teenagers, early 20 somethings) watching a class or two of all ages kids, some of them with special needs. So shouldn’t they have more “teachers” to help out?When the parent comes to pick their child up one of the teachers has to leave the class to take the child to the drive lane. So when do they have time to do these activities I’m paying for???I opted to pay a weekly fee to have him do these activities vs doing the free program who according to the Champions employee signing people up “only does homework assistance”.When the school year began I had multiple issues with the staff not prompting my 5 year old to put his stuff back in his backpack. I had to prompt them every single day to prompt him or he would not bring his homework stuff home and be late with assignments.EVEN THEN we would have to wait while the teacher gave me a dirty look because she had to go back in the building to get his homework or some other forgotten item!If I HAVE TO PROMPT YOU EVERY DAY AND YOU STILL SCREW IT UP, can you understand why a 5 year old might need consistent prompts to get the hang of it?And the teachers being so young, they have NO IDEA how to deal with kids with behaviors. My son needs prompting to stay on task and keep his hands to himself, LIKE MANY OTHER KIDS but their answer was to write up every single thing he did instead of properly leading him in a consistent manner towards overcoming these issues. Issues that btw he doesn’t have at home because IM CONSISTENT. This tells me he was NOT getting the supervision etc he needed because they didn’t have the numbers.I suppose they can’t and don’t deal with kids who need a little more patience and leadership. So what percentage of kids does that leave??? And is that all they want in their deception based program?
