We went through months of research, emails, phone calls, and tours with a dozen of private and charter schools in our area before deciding where to send our child. For me, this was an extremely stressful decision. What if I make the wrong choice and ruin my childs education?! You can read reviews and research the academics of Salisbury Academy to know how great it is, but it was the tour of the school, during school hours, that made our decision easy. The students were kind, respectful, and encouraging not only with the adults but with each other! We saw two older students passing a line of first graders. They spoke with them, gave them each high fives, and left those little ones beaming with excitement. I walked out of there hoping for my child to be a part of this kind community. This is our third year at Salisbury Academy. Our child is thriving and we are very happy with our decision to choose SA. My advice, take a tour of the main school as well as the kindergarten building. This is where your child will spend the majority of their school years.

We are very pleased with the quality of education our daughter is receiving at Salisbury Academy. She in engaged and excited about learning, and the school works hard to foster a true sense of community.

We are currently in our 12th year at Salisbury Academy, and our family could not be more pleased. Our children look forward to school- need I say more? The safe and stimulating learning environment provided by the school is unmatched. The content-rich Core Knowlege curriculum helps children build upon their knowledge each year thanks to its sequential nature. My oldest daughter emerged after 10 years from the school extraordinarily well-prepared for any challenge presented to her in high school. I cannot say enough good things!

Edited to say: Our daughter is half-way through first term of high school. She was particularly prepared for the challenges of high school regarding writing and critical thinking. She is able to knock out a high quality, 5 paragraph essay without too much stress, and that is something her teachers this term have noticed! Salisbury Academy was an investment in our childs education that shell benefit from for years to come.I am the parent of a 7th grader at Salisbury Academy, a school weve been attending for the last 4 years. While I have I a massive list of what we love about our school, since this is a review, Ill stick with the short list:-Outside time every day, more than once a day, because moving bodies are healthy and happy bodies-Hands-on learning because doing is often better than sitting and listening for learning-Staff that have a working environment that is respectful of them and treats them professionally (if you teach, you know why Im mentioning this!)-Staff that give of their time to students, willingly and not in a forced or hurried environment-A culture of teaching the whole child, with a willingness to try new approaches and techniques.-A curriculum that is rich and layered, building grade level by grade level, with many opportunities for field tripsThats it for my short list, but I will end with this: Salisbury Academy is a joyful place, which I felt the first time I ever walked through the front doors.

We couldnt ask for a more caring & innovative learning environment! We love Salisbury Academy!
