Excellent International Baccalaureate (IB) School. Really impressed with the students there that participate in our youth leadership program at the State Capitol.

It’s a horrible place, not only is it not Islamic but it’s not private either. A lot of gossiping lies and rumors are encouraged here. I feel like it’s a daycare for my children, not a academic place. Most of the teachers are unprofessional and administration office is all about business and making money, they don’t care at all about education and mental health of the kids. Most students hate that environment, they only come there because their parents force them to. Im very worried for this generation of Muslims that are going to come out of this daycare.

As a student at Al-Arqam for 12 years I have to say that I could not have received a better Islamic as well as academic experience anywhere else, the teachers here are the most supportive and encouraging and have driven me to significantly excel in my studies. Al-Arqam has provided me with various opportunities to not only be involved in the islamic activities within the community, but various academic opportunities have been presented to us students as well. For example, sophomore students are given the opportunity to enroll within AP classes that look excellent on college transcripts, as well as all students beginning in their junior year of high school, enroll within the IB (International Baccalaureate) program, which when the diploma is achieved, is sought after by many colleges and universities. Although your child may be able to excel even further within another school which has more funding and opportunities, I can guarantee that they will never be able to be so engrossed within a community that will accept and love them as a muslim brother or sister as they will here at Al-Arqam Islamic School and College Preparatory.

My daughter was enrolled in the first grade in 2017 (I did not and will not repeat it again) and her teacher’s name was Laila. The goal of transferring it from public schools with the trouble to pay $ 6000 a year - not to mention other trivial expenses like them - was to educate and endow the girl in Islam. But hehe, with a teacher like Laila and a teacher, only cares with money and favors teachers (and rich students) at the expense of the general student. Unfortunately, it was disastrous, as my daughter hated everything in this school and even the neighboring Al-Nour Mosque until now. All because of this blunt parameter, which does not improve dealing with neither children nor adults. As she was always shouting for my daughter and throughout the year. There is nothing wrong with her poking my daughter in her head if my daughter asked her to re-explain something! And when faced with these acts, she lied to my daughter! Is a Muslim lying? What are these morals and customs that you will teach my daughter? Yes, she will teach her lies, rudeness, and abuse. My daughter studied three years ago in regular schools and her confidence was great and her questions were clever but when I studied the first grade in this school and with this teacher she turned upside down and became weak self-confidence and stopped the questions and smart conclusions. Is this parameter suitable to be a nanny for generations? I swear to you what you have ever delivered and peace is received! Is this the morals of Muslims? Likewise, she smiled at her face, she probably stopped the frowning face, but to no avail! If I complain to the insensitive director, it will not help. My advice to everyone who has suffered from this schools teachers is to want to complain about the school or one of the teachers that the matter be entrusted to a lawyer because apparently and after a long research there is no government agency in California that deals with private schools and can complain about it. Hire a private lawyer and he will take the right for you and your children and this failed school will pay you later.
