Ive gone to this school for 7 years and I can tell you this: it has been a waste of time. Relying on an incoherent mess of a math program, the curriculum is what youd consider an unspeakably horrid mistake. They claim to be easing students into the harder material, when in actuality, theyre simply boring them and taking a solid 6 hours out of their day. The teachers are all kind people who do as their job requires, but for a place where youre meant to learn, thats not enough. The staff often cross the line with nearly everything. On top of that, in sixth grade, youre given absolutely no choice to help in the cafeteria. Because of the age-based discrimination paraded by the staff, every day is just difficult. I swear, some kids get in trouble for sitting incorrectly or breathing too heavily. Theres a truckload of censorship as well. In essence, if they dont like what you write for an assignment that explicitly tells you to speak from your heart, theyll give you the yelling of the century. In fact, Ive even decided to make an anonymous account simply Theres too much for me to even cover in a single review. Im going to have to be brutally honest here and say the school is horrible, but in actuality, compared to all other public schools, its not that bad. Because of this nations backward schooling system, Id say this school is probably actually the best option you have (of course, thats not saying much). Oh, what a sad world we live in.

I went to this school since preschool up until 6th grade. I knew all the staff. I participated in all events and was a GATE student. I was placed in split classes more than once, and when my parents asked I be put with more kids in my grade, the principal denied. I would give it zero stars if I could, honestly. The yard duties were disrespectful and inconsiderate. Both me and my parents were very unsatisfied.

This school has a lot of good thing mostly bc it helps u learn in a fun but proactive way most kids in that school have got more than 6 diplomas in year i love this school. They help u if ur struggling

All they care about is fund raising! A kindergarten teacher screams at class on a daily basis and the principal just condones it. When I complained about it, the principal tried to intimidate me. According to higher authority in the district, 5-6 out of ten school complaints come from Golden Empire. Its time for them to wake up. Yes they lead... They lead in becoming the worst school ever.

We moved to the area specifically for this school. We love all the clubs and programs available. One of the few elementary schools in the area with a band program (4th-6th graders)! Our child has gone here for 2nd,3rd, and 4th grade and weve been very happy with the teachers, staff, principal, campus, and academic focus. The PTO is very involved and funds the majority of field trips, fun school events, and family events like movie night. One of the best schools in SCUSD!

Golden Empire has the best Teachers and staff I have ever experienced I have 4 children attending this wonderful school for the second year now a 3rd gdr, 4th grdr, and 2 6th grdrs.. I transfered them here from the worst school I have ever seen, Mark hopkins and since they have been at Golden Empier their Math and Reading/Writing skills have Improved in all 4 of my children as well as the fact that the teachers take the time out to call or E-mail if there are any conserns. One of my 6th graders teacher even has her call her at home for homework help she even called over the weekend once to remind her not to forget something she had forgotten the prior friday. I LOVE everything about this school take it from a mother of 4 this is a awsome caring attentive school!!!!!.
