My husband is a proud STORM Coach of the STORM Team. I truly support him and his travels from school site to school site everyday. I hear nothing good things every time he comes home about what he did at a school or what one of the many other amazing STORM Coaches did. This program is definitely different compare to the others. They are doing an amazing job with the community and with the schools all around Sacramento. So don’t be surprise if you start hearing STORM at every school soon. An excellent program for my students. I can see a great amount of progress in their work studies as well as their relationships with their peers. They enjoy the program enormously and look forward to the next session each week. The coaches are excellent as well. They work very well with the kids. I love the fact that they always stick with the promises, and that helps the students remember to practice have courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self control, responsibility, and actions. Overall, a great program for students to have physical activities while learning great concepts.

“When is S.T.O.R.M?” “Are we doing S.T.O.R.M. today?”These questions are what I hear every day from my students. My first graders love STORM. It is a break from the structured morning classes earlier in the day. STORM time means a time to stretch and let out all the pent up energy built up from sitting down all day. They can practice their strong voices and be heard. STORM is a safe and positive environment that teaches self-control, the importance of being healthy, and what it means to be a role-model. After each session with Coach Velasquez, my first graders are standing straight and tall and looking more confident and resilient than they were before. It makes me smile with pride every time I see my students eagerly listening to Coach V’s funny stories and participating in the fun and active games. What I love the most about STORM is the improvements I see with the more difficult students. Those students tend to misbehave but during STORM, I get to see a new side of them. They are listening and trying their best. They are being kind and acting like a role-model. I see these changes transitioning into the classroom as well. Thank you STORM and the wonderful Coach Velasquez for bringing positivity and key life skills into my students’ lives.

One of the aspects of STORM I appreciate the most is the drive to make a difference in the lives of youth. My 5th grade class only had 45 minutes, but it was a valuable 45 minutes. Coach Al covered a lot in that time and it all happened really fast... integrity, hard work, self confidence, assertiveness, the list goes on. The kids absolutely loved it. High energy, active, and fun. I can only imagine how effective it could be with students having a weekly experience in the STORM program.

Coach Al and the coaches were fantastic. I loved the character building and their energy, not to mention the motivation! The children were so pumped and so focused. I had never heard of STORM before but Im glad it exists. I cant wait until my toddler is old enough to have this experience!

The S.T.O.R.M. program is great for children of all ages. The children gain confidence, self-control and self-discipline in a fun and motivating environment. The coaches are great with the children and help them to feel positive about doing the right thing.

S.T.O.R.M is a excellent and interactive program for students of all ages. This program helps students develop social skills with fun, physical and mental exercises. Hey this is Coach Adriel, this program is absolutely amazing from a coach perspective and from a teacher perspective. STORM is 100 percent dedicated to the kids and making a impact and its wonderful to watch and work with. Hats off to STORM keep up the great work.

S.T.O.R.M is an awesome program for the kids. The coaches are even better for the kids. The whole idea behind the program is teaching kids to be a role model, this would not be effective unless the coaches were enthusiastic and demonstrated the proper way to act, but the coaches do an awesome job at demonstrating this and inspiring the students to change their behavior to be role model. The coach for our coach was Ms.Valezquez aka Ms. V and each week the students loved going to S.T.O.R.M to spend time and play awesome games with Ms. V. She went out of her way to work one on one with some students that needed extra attention. There was one student in particular that has a hard time participating in anything . He has a lot of anger inside that he is working on learning how to channel anger into something positive and week after week Ms. V would find ways to engage this student and help him make this change. She never gave up on him and would do everything in her power to help this student in prove. She even let him stay after class a couple times to play his favorite sport with him to create that relationship with him so she could gain his trust and help him make that change. Turn out also that S.T.O.R.M isnt only for the kids, Ms. V time after time would compliment that staff about the work they were doing with their class. Time after time this motivated me to do more and more. The compliments she gave would remind me how important this job really is. This program is great and very effective the coaches make this program awesome and if your school is not apart of it I highly recommend becoming apart of it.

I really like the way I get pushed he is really motivating and is a really good coach too. Good involvement in his part and the other thing is hes loves doing it because he pushes me with his passion.

Our after school program has worked with STORM Kids for the past 2 years and it continues to be a program that teaches character values combined with physical fitness that engages our students, from 1st grade through 6th. The various leaders that have come to our site are energetic, cheerful, conscientious, and fun. Good for students who are enrolled in an after-school program. Its a good way to keep them motivated in physical exercise and personal integrity. Kids learn to take responsibility over their own actions including making healthier lifestyle choices while having fun with structured exercises.

Coach Al came to my classroom last week to present S.T.O.R.M Kids to my 4th grade class. First of all, Al is a fantastic presenter and had the attention of the students from start to finish. It was one of the best presentations from an outside source that I have see in my 18+ years of teaching. The blend of character, courtesy and physical education is very powerful. The students were highly motivated. I was very excited about the possibilities that this program offers our students. I could see this program as being our character Ed program school wide! Coach Al is welcome in my classroom ANY TIME.

My son participated in two classes taught by Coach Sim through Visions in Education. Coach Sim did an excellent job of not only teaching the sports at an age-appropriate level for a kindergarten student, but he also had very good control of his class. He worked with students who werent following along and engaged them so they, too, would be able to participate. I really liked the character qualities they worked on each week and they way Coach Sim encouraged students to use teamwork and to encourage one another.

Great to see this program do so much for the youth. Amazing work from the staff and especially Coach Anyssa. We need more programs that empower the youth. Thank you for your hard work and dedication!

Storm is such a wonderful and amazing program for my second graders. The leaders are so great and they have taught my kids so much about being a role model and leader. Im a highschool student and Coach Al has given us an experience that Ill never forget. The exercises that we do, no matter if its a jump squat or something, youll definitely break a sweat and If you dont, youre not trying hard enough. I appreciate all the time and effort that he gives to us as students because without that I dont think that I would continue to workout. This is such an amazing program! My daughter has learned so much about teamwork, integrity, respect and so much more. Ive had the pleasure of meeting with Coach Al and the STORM program in person, and have seen the effect it has on the youth of our communities. The largest and most diverse group of kids sit transfixed and eat up everything that this program has to offer. The positivity and reinforcement of the coaches and staff resonate with kids and you see the effect well after the initial meeting. I came away very impressed with how my kids felt and how their attitudes reflected the teachings and lessons that were learned from STORM and Coach Al. Excellent program, keep up the great work!

This program teaches a lot about self discipline and respect for other people.At the school I work at Ms. A is the storm instructor and she takes time to get to know each and every kids. She even takes time to talk to student who are having trouble on a one to one basis. This program also teaches exercises to kids that are fun and exciting so that the kids get excited about exercise. At the end of each class they reward medals to a student who has stood out as a leader. One week a student won a medal and came up to me and said Mr. Jesse I thought I was a bad kid but I won the storm medal and now I think I can be a good kid . This program has had nothing but goos positive results and I would recommend it for any student.

My middle school aged son tried out this program with Coach Sim and had a blast. Aside from getting the physical activity and socialization my son needs as a homeschooler he learned a lot about being a team player and good sport. Now that I am planning for next school year my son has requested to take Coach Sims class again and I am more than happy to oblige.

I am nothing but impressed with the STORM program that was held in my class at Gold River. Coach Al was amazing! His heart, enthusiasm, and positive attitude really made a difference in the lives of my students. Every student was engaged in the program and wanting to earn the medal at the end of the program. What shocked me more than anything was the strong desire to win the award changed by the end of the program. They were very satisfied watching me earn the medal. In other situations, a number of students would have left the program feeling angry because they didnt win. Instead they switched the focus to the one that earned it. That is a special leader to make that happen with a group of 10 year olds. Hats off to Coach Al.

I absolutely love this program! I think it is such a breath of fresh air to see all the elementary students from 1st to 6th grade to be so energetic and involved. The coaches there have been amazing! Coach Al and Anyssa are so involved and extremely positive towards the students and teachers. Theyre not only there for the program but are also interested in the students as individuals and learning about them. They go above and beyond that extra mile to encourage these kids to be the best them that they can be everyday in school & at home. I believe my students with special Needs would benefit so much from a program like STORM. I hope my students can be apart of the amazing things STORM provides and the coaches it has! For example Coach Al i have heard nothing but great things about him and the excellent coach and motivational person he is and i believe thats someone my kids can look up to

I have experienced this programs help firsthand, such as one of my students becoming of a postive behavior. Shout out to Coach AL, that guy is famous at our site. Overall the STORM program is great!
