I wanted to learn something new and a friend suggested krav maga. Self Defense Fit Lab is very close to my home, so I decided to take them up on their offer to try a free class. Thats all it took...I was hooked. I love that I am learning to defend myself, and that I am getting great exercise, but I really, really love the atmosphere. From the first moment, I was accepted and encouraged to be there. Cliff and his staff are the perfect blend of instructors in that they push you hard and teach you a lot, but they make it so fun too. You can feel the caring and concern, and you know that they have a personal interest in you. I tell everyone about Self Defense Fit Lab and invite people to come by all the time. I guarantee you will love being a part of this amazing program.

My 8yr old daughter comes to this studio. Its amazing for her. Its her favorite time of the week. The staff is great with kids and its just an all-around great atmosphere. Id definitely remind this place for any age.

We took our 11 yr old daughter for a free trial Krav Maga Kids class last night. Itś been a true challenge to find something she connects with and enjoys physically. As a personal trainer myself, I see the negative effects of a sedentary body everyday. However, I also did not want to push her into team sports that she clearly did not enjoy. I had looked at several martial arts type programs for kids in Riverside but nothing felt like the right fit for her. I read Fit Labś website and really liked their message. The focus is on four things: self-defense, fitness, confidence, and being a good citizen. The minute we walked into the training room, the other kids, families and the owner/instructor, Cliff, made all 3 of us feel incredibly welcome (on a genuine level, not a sales level). But what I really appreciated was how Cliff spoke directly to my daughter, getting on his knee and making eye contact with her, and showing genuine interest in why she was there. She then spent the next 45 minutes warming up with another great instructor, Tia, who had the kids moving and striking bags and using their voices right from the start. It was awesome to see. It was a great workout and a great lesson for my child. We signed up that night and cannot wait to go back. Based on first impressions, I think this program will be the perfect fit for parents trying to find the same things I was. Definitely worth checking out!

My 8 year old loves this place!! I even think she loves it more than her Ballet! Self defense and learning Krav Maga has been the best choice and investment for my daughter.She is surrounded by other kids and trainers who are here for greatness! These guys are the BEST!!!Thank you guys!

Taking self defense classes here with my teenage kids and we love it! Plus I’ll worry way less when they go off to college because they’ll be able to take care of themselves if anybody ever tries to hurt them. Cliff and Tia are great instructors and really know their stuff! We’re learning very practical and useful moves every week. Highly recommend the Krav Maga self defense classes to anyone!!
