The others stayed up front in the lobby the entire time. I told several of them they pay her to teach not me Im at work now she is welcome to get this cart if she like and TEACH! I would never attend a school pay all that money get in dept and still not have my instructors teach me what I need to know I dnt think so.

I am currently a nursing student at Dallas Nursing Institute and feel free to contact me if you want for any other information. But I do not recommend this school to anyone. Yes, all nursing programs can be unorganized but this school takes it to another level. It takes instructors WEEKS to grade online assignments and exams. When they give us blueprints for exams, it always last minute. They normally give it to you the day before the exam which does not help at all. When you contact some of the instructors regarding how they graded an assignment, they never respond until you include their bosses in the email. Nobody wants to help you! They assume you should already know the stuff that they are teaching. I would give anything to be able to start completely over somewhere else but right now I cannot afford to leave. Please please please do not come to this school. It should be closed down. Some of these instructors should not be allowed to teach nursing students. After this review I will be contacting the board of nursing along with multiple other students. This is ridiculous! Our education is very important. And lives are at stake. My dream has always been to become a nurse and make a difference in the health profession but at this rate I would be like to hired at the morgue! SAVE YOURSELVES! Dont come here. It is too late for the rest of us.

The timed entrance exam saddens me. My math is good but my pace is kinda slow on the reading part. I usually re-read stuff to fully understand. This eats up my time and I end up failing the exam because of this. There is also no diversity here. They are all about money..

Unless you don’t have any other choice please don’t go to this school. There is a lot of prejudice, racism, and favoritism going on in this school. An instructor will fail you just because they don’t like you or their favorite student in the class doesn’t like you. They will pass they favorite person give extra credit when they actually failed test, quizzes and exam. You wonder how in the world that person pass. More than half of the class will always fail almost each semester and they do nothing to resolve that. There is a class with only two student. Even if you have good grades, if they don’t like you they put your grades down.

If you want to be spoon fed or have low self esteem not only is this school not for you but you might reconsider nursing all together.ONLY THE STRONG SURVIVE -China, LVN soon to be BSN

Visited DNI today to inquire about the tuition, admission requirements, curriculum etc. The representative Michael gave me a pretty thorough interview and questioned my reasons for wanting to attend their school. He was pretty transparent but I just felt that DNI is very expensive and judging from the comments I would be making a huge mistake trying to get a good nursing foundation there. I only gave two stars because the guy Micheal was professional and courteous. Thanks everybody for helping me dodge that bullet!

Very unprofessional staff. Alot of unnecessary problems occurring here. The staff need to realize they are employed because of the students. I was looking to transfer credits from my previous nursing program. Contract changes moved us here to dfw area. I’d rather drive an hour or two somewhere else than to go here. Take heed of the countless amounts of negative reviews. In comparison to other nursing programs this is an absolute joke!!!! Stay away.

This school all they care about is your money, don’t even try going there. There’s probably only one good teacher there which is Dr. D she’s amazing she’s the A&P teacher, she’s honestly the only one that pushes you to do more & she sees your potential. All the other ones like me Jodie & everyone else go based on favortism they will give one person a good grade or add an extra grade to pass one but not all. & that’s something Dr. D doesn’t do she never bases off of favortism. Don’t go there. Most teachers there don’t care!!!!! They teach & leave you blank faced or clueless. Not going back

I am not one to complain for the most part. But if you are able to go to another school, do it. I started 8/23/2018 group. While not being about to get full financial aide, I am also making a 300 payment each month. It is very unorganized, while there are a few that make you feel like you are completely incompetent. On top of their cost of 29,000 (round about) if you fail a class which isnt hard to due, due to the dis-organization. Just an example of that organization: Tonite were our finals. My average was 67 (You have to maintain a 75 to pass a class). I had submitted my case study and it was brought to a 73. Well, no one informed us on our final we were going to have questions on 2 Chapters we had not even went over, and they never informed us we would have on the quiz. Now in order to take this class I will have to pay another 1000 for the class. We are told to ask for help if needed, but when we do we are giving an attitude. Here at DNI you are basically teaching yourself. It really is like they set you up to fail. I read the reviews before I started, and really thought it would be what you make out of it, howerever I really understand what they were talking about now.

I wish I went to a nursing school that actually cares about student’s education. They always let their personal feelings effect how they do their job. The schedules are always changing! If you go to church, expect them to purposely schedule clinicals on Sunday’s. You’re not allowed to wear regular clothes. As much money as I pay to go here, you can’t expect much. Waste of time & money! The only good people at the school are Dr. D, Dr. Barrow, Mrs Hopsin, Mrs Armstead & Mrs Love. They actually help us understand the things we are supposed to know and do. they do not belittle us like the others. Avoid this school if you can. I wish I would have went to chamberlain.

Graduated from DNIs LVN program in 2013. Honestly, to those people who write bad reviews about nursing school... just give it up already!!! All nursing programs on the face of the earth pose some serious challenges. Yes, most instructors at this school are tough. Yes the program is a pill. But then again, It is Nursing....dealing with peoples lives ..... something not to be taken lightly. If you are considering attending this program, ask yourself, Am I ready? How bad do I want this? Theres no secret about it. You will get what you put into this program. IF YOU STUDY HARD, YOU WILL PASS. DO A HALF ASS JOB, YOU WILL FAIL. PLAIN AND SIMPLE! Discipline, commitment and straight up no- nonsense studying is what will yield you success. They will tell you the amount of time you need to put in every day for studying from jump street....take that seriously....matter of fact, add an hour or two to that. Stay ahead of your work at all times and most of all make sure you grasp the fundamentals. Miss those and you are doomed for the duration of the course. Its not a bed of roses!!! It gets tough, its gets frustrating at times.... well most of the times, but if you want it bad enough, you will soon realize it was worth your while. I have a soft spot for this school. Never failed a class, and its not because all the instructors were great....some were excellent at their job and others just did not cut it.... I made it happen for myself! Remember, INSTRUCTORS ARE NOT THERE TO BABY YOU OR BE YOUR FREIND. They are there to GUIDE . It is absolutely doable ONLY if YOU work hard!! How bad do YOU want it??? Good luck to one and all!! Cheers!!

I wish it was an option to give 0 stars.Im not even a student and I received horrible customer service from Michael in the Admissions Department.Michael called me and stated he received my interest. I asked him if he could send me a list of courses included in the LVN program and he rudely stated that he dont have that...Hr asked if I had a degree, I stated yes in Business, he then goes to say that I wont have to worry then because Science classes arent in a Business Degree. I told him in order for me to know if Im interested in the program, I need to see the courses to be sure Im not repeating. He said he will call me back.He called back and said he have the classes. I asked if he could email them. He once again, rudely stated that they cant do that... he said, if Im interested and serious, I need to come to the school. I explained to him that I would listen to the courses, he said okay and hung up. I called back 3 times but he sent me to vm. Finally got him after calling 5 times and asked him why he hung up. He bodley lied and said he was talking to someone.FIRST OF ALL, I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO A SCHOOL WHERE YOU CANT SEE THE COURSES INCLUDED IN ANY PROGRAM.SECONDS HES HORRIBLE REPRESENTATION FOR ANY ADMISSION DEPARTMENT. HES MAKING THIS SCOOL LOOSE MONEY DUE TO HIS BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, LACK OF EDUCATION AND ATTITUDE.AFTER THIS, I WILL TAKE MY MONEY ELSE WHERE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANYONE.

This school is the worst school. They are very expensive and the instructors treats you like a trash. Especially the LVN’s instructors. I don’t think none of them likes their job, they just want the money. If they like Their job they should feel bad about more than half of the class fail, if you are a good instructors, most people should pass not fail. The instructors doesn’t like each other. The students doesn’t like the instructors. There might be one or two instructors who really wants to help students. The rest of the instructors, when you ask them for help they will send you to a “tutor” who is also struggling to pass their classes. Instructors like Jodi, do everything based on favoritism. She will fail student with 74.8 point and pass others with 71 point. She is so two faced, now a day, she act like she is the one who control the whole school. She has no time to help a student but she is always busy take caring her personal life and talking about her spoiled child. They change schedules on last minutes, don’t care about students life. Out of 30 students, only 4-5 student will make it thru. Ms. Marylan clinical instructor and Dr. kito are the best. Always willing to help students. The clinical instructors like Mr. Harold likes to sit with student during clinical and talk negative things about instructors and other students. If he picks on you once, know matter what you do will be a big deal especially if you are African. There is barely anything good to say about this school. You can’t complain anything to anyone because nobody ain’t gonna do nothing. Go to Concord, the instructors are very helpful, encourage you to be a better person. I can go on and on about how bad is this school. I guarantee you, everybody’s comments in here is very true. Try to avoid even thinking of going to this school.

Even if its your last option, do NOT go to this school. As an RN student, your clinicals will primarily take place at a sad excuse for a nursing home. One of the teachers, Dr. Boroff, is NOT suited to be teaching, as there is actually something wrong in her mind (I dont mean that to be mean, Im just being honest; something is really wrong there). When a group of us voiced our concerns about her teaching capabilities to a higher-up, we were told we needed to discuss that with Dr. Boroff. Im sorry, how do you, as a student, tell a teacher that she shouldnt be teaching anymore because shes losing her marbles? The higher-ups dont care about students concerns, and it appears as though that has been a recurring problem, seeing as DNI was under investigation by the Board of Nursing in 2017, and that exact complaint was listed under student complaints. The teachers literally set you up to fail. As freshmen, we were given a SENIOR exam, and we were scolded when none of us passed it. If Mrs. Armstead hadnt stood up for us, that test would have counted towards our grade (the majority of us scored in the 50s, and I think the highest grade was in the 60s). Out of all the staff, I only had genuine respect for Mrs. Armstead, Mrs. Love, and Dr. Barrow. They answer your questions without belittling you or making you feel totally stupid, which is a rarity at this school. There was even one teacher (Mrs. Chaudhry) who followed me around all day at a clinical just verbally harassing me (Im a very reserved and introverted person, so I guess she saw that as a weakness in me and preyed on it). Ive never accused a teacher of singling me out in all my years, but boy, she sure did. She was actually the last straw for me. After that clinical, I decided I would finish out that semester, but I wasnt going to spend another penny on DNI after that.Dont EVEN get me started on how unorganized this school is. Most teachers dont have a clue what theyre doing, and its not totally their fault. They, like the students, get thrown into clinical settings where they just expect us all to know what to do, and it creates a world of confusion. The schedule is extremely inconsistent, and they will constantly change it at the last minute, so if you have kids, make sure you have a babysitter on standby 24/7, because you never know what that school is going to do.Theres so much more I could dive into, but then this review would be even more of a novel than it already is! Ill end it like this. I read all of these reviews before I enrolled too. I also thought to myself that they were comments coming from entitled students who probably expected a nursing degree to just fall right into their hands. If I only knew then what I know now, Id be $7,000 richer. The credits I completed dont transfer, but Im totally ok with that. I WANT to start completely over at a nursing school where the staff actually knows what theyre doing so that I can rest assured I will know what Im doing when I go out into the field, which is something I was afraid I would be leaving without if I continued at DNI. This is mainly because Dr. Boroff spilled the beans that a few DNI students were fired from their nursing jobs because they didnt know what they were doing.Hope this review helps! Just know if I could give zero stars, I so would.Edit: I figured that Id come back and add that I went to a different nursing program at a community college, and have been successfully practicing as a pediatric nurse for a year now. Nursing school is hard no matter what, but where you go DOES matter!!

I am a current student..well soon to be former. Do not attend this school. Its a waste of money. The teachers are confused. No one is on the same page, the fundamentals teacher, Dr. Boroff is a joke. She yells at you for doing what she says to do. She may have alzheimers. The only thing I like about this school is the A&P teacher. Dr. D she gives you great knowledge and actually cares about your success. The rules at this school are outrageous. Its $6000 per semester. And if you miss any clinicals.. I missed 2. But passed the course. You have to retake the entire course ! Theres no opportunity to retake a clinical or make up a clinical. Plus the clinicals were at the school writing nursing plans.. I have to pay $2000 to retake a course i passed and never had the opportunity to perform clinicals !! Please do not attend this school ! None of the instructors or staff return calls !! No one answers your questions..even some of the staff complain about the school to the students while on clinicals !!! Teachers quit.. Come late but expect you on time and then yell and say awful things that arent very professional. One teacher came in the class yelling about the bathroom and how we arent in kindergarten and if she sees it again..blah blah blah.. Another teacher told a student she stank and if we come in class smelling bad she would send you home ! LOL .. Please keep looking. Fast track but not worth the money !!
