This school is one to watch as our son graduated from it. The principal and teachers are top notch and the kids are challenged to learn and be creative. We were skeptical in the beginning once he was moving from Cornwall Terrace but after speaking with his teachers decided to stay put and let him continue with Southern and that was the best decision we could make for him.

Horrible. I have no idea how this school got the Schools to Watch Award. If the teachers would stop ignoring the bad things students are doing, then this might be a decent place for growing learners. Students will go to the office over flipping a water bottle, but then if there is a fight the teachers will sometimes ignore it. THIS IS NOT A SCHOOL TO WATCH. The only thing good about this school is that there are many teachers who are nice, and making learning fun.PS: I would like my review to be private. Do not try to find out who I am please. This is just my opinion.

As a student there I think that the school is Uhm somewhat fun and has a lot of fun clubs to get involved. However, the substitutes are very annoying but that is not their fault. Also during lunch there is abusive cursing, bottle flipping, and inappropriate jokes and bad students, The lunch aids are literally just standing in a corner talking. I love them but they need to try harder.

Only pro is that it has a lot of good teachers.It was awarded a schools to watch award i dont know how. Not the best school. I didnt really enjoy my time here.

This school, in the words of the former superintendent Rudy Ruth, teaches to the test. That means that they have ZERO concern if the children learn. Rather, the goal is to produce test taking morons. So sad that there are many really good people who are forced to drink the kool aid.The awards they get are because they bully parents & children into taking PSSAs. PLEASE BE AWARE PARENTS - YOU CAN OPT OUT OF THESE TESTS! Were you aware that they require YOUR child to sign a contract, agreeing not to discuss the test in any way with YOU?In addition, the ONLY way in PA to opt out of these PSSAs is religious reasons. Yet, they throw a PSSA reward day with a magician, carnival, and a movie and exclude the children who were opted out by their parents! HELLO CIVIL RIGHTS VIOLATION!!
