Dismissed my 21-month old after 3 days b/c he was demanding too much attention. The director said she had to put a 2nd teacher in the room to help out with him on day 3, and that she didnt have the resources to add another teacher to the class fulltime. How can you make that determination after just 3 days? She was going to allow him to finish the week, but made it clear that theyd be unable to accommodate him after the week was over. Staff seems friendly, but no effort was put forth to problem-solve or find ways to help my child transition to being in school for the first time. Isnt that the whole point of pre-school? They definitely do not stand by the philosophy of positive classroom management and helping kids problem-solve and build relationship skills. Unwillingness to adapt is a key indicator of poor management. Would not recommend.

Love this company and was really hoping for a spot at this location, but was told I would have to pay the registration fee for my child just to get on the waitlist, without guaranteeing when my child could start. Considering I’m on a waitlist at another creative school, without having to pay the registration fee, I’m not sure why this location is deciding to give scammer vibes. They said they might have an opening at the end of August but me paying the registration fee did not guarantee me that spot, just a spot at some point in life. If this information wants to be corrected by the company, feel free to comment!

I have been a resident of the area now for many years. I have been to many centers. I have had to deal with constant staff changes. My children have been put in very strange situations by daycare directors and staff. But Wakefield Creative School of Raleigh has been exceptional to All of my child and my needs. My oldest has grown an attachment to his teacher to a point he enjoys school a lot. Everyday we leave the center he looks for someone to give a hug to before we go. My youngest is about to be two and can count to 17 and say his ABCs and love to sing and motion The Wheels on the Bus. All this for me shows love and compassion of Director and Staff. For the professionalism and the management of classroom activities for the students is Tremendous. I would recommend that you go today and check them out and see for yourself. I can truly say that I this place is my childrens home away from home.

This is a great daycare. The teachers helped my son with weaning off the bottle and becoming potty trained. The facility is nice and clean. The staff is very supportive of any situations you have. They also have early screening for development delays and will assist in finding resources for you to get help. This school also gives out nice gifts for the parents at holidays and has lots of activities and events for the kids and parents to participate in. I would definitely recommend this school!

I absolutely adore this center. We are so incredibly lucky our daughter got placed here for PreK and we selected to have our son attend as well. Not only is the staff consistently friendly- the education here is bar none. They put the kids and their needs first, include community activities and outreach in their programs, come up with creative fun events like carnivals and festivals for families and children, and they have great programs. The staff is flexible, which is key when busy schedules change last minute. There is a wide range of parental opportunities to be involved as well. The added bonus of cameras in each classroom is amazing as well! I LOVE being able to peak in on my kids during my work day. 200000% recommend!

My oldest daughter was placed at Wakefield Creative for pre-K 3 yrs ago. Since then my two younger children have also enrolled there. I have experienced every class from the baby room through pre-K. As well as after school and summer care. My children receive ultimate care there and never want to leave. My 4 yo constantly says she wants to spend the night. She will not even spend the night with family. The staff and administrators greet us with a smile daily. The director is amazing and undoubtedly loves being with the kids everyday. They are attentive to any concern I ever have which have been minimal. I love that every room is monitored with cameras that I can view from work at any time. The tadpoles app gives us a daily review of what they learn and even has daily pictures.I simply love this establishment and consider them family. I would reccomend Wakefield creative to anyone seeking childcare.

My child has been cared for at Wakefield Creative School since he was 6 months old. He has been in their care full time M-F, until now at 18 months. We are only leaving them for another creative school closer to where my new job is.The care that my child receives from his Infant 2 class teachers is palpable and obvious when my child greets them in the morning at drop off as well as in the afternoon when we go to pick him up. Any time I drop in on the angelcam to check in on him during the day, I just see him being snuggled and loved on. He is always provided care and attention when its needed, and yet they give him enough freedom to do independent play where he can engage and learn new skills. I love that they have a loose curriculum to follow and he consistently comes home and wows us with all these new skills he learns at daycare. It is the love, care, attention that I cannot provide while working full time, and it makes the mom guilt so much easier to deal with.. in fact, it helps take it away. The meals provided to my son are nutritious for the most part, well balanced, and there is enough variety for him to explore, experience, and enjoy new foods under supervision. I can always check on the menu for the months ahead or request something not be served to him if I feel uncomfortable with them serving it to him. They always have alternatives that are allergy friendly!Lastly, I just want to rave on the two teachers that my son gets to spend all day with. My son has LOVED Ms. Rosie in the infant 2 class. She definitely goes above and beyond to ensure that James has a good day and she never fails to elicit smiles from him. The same goes for Ms. Rebekah -- biased a little because we have been good friends since our freshman year of college. Rebekah is also a wonderful caring individual and I always feel at ease knowing my child is in two VERY capable hands.Lastly, Id like to mention the administrative staff-- They are WONDERFUL. They always call with any incidents and are quick to help resolve any questions or complaints I had --- and while I had very little complaint... the ones I brought up were immediately addressed and resolved. They have always answered my hundreds of phone calls with courtesy and integrity. They too, also make sure to have time to get to know every child in the school. The fact that the director of the school knows who I am, who my child is, and whats going on in our lives is an honest reflection of the care that this team of teachers at this school have for their children. I am ALWAYS greeted at the door if someone is there and my child, while weary of strangers, is always sure to give them a high five or fist bump when we catch them on our way in/out.I leave this raving review because were so sad to be going. The daycare search for your child can be so daunting with so many questions and factors to consider. I myself had visited nearly 10 daycares within a 15 minute drive, all with similar qualities and similar features and price ranges. This was the only school I felt great about walking in, unannounced, and the one with the happiest teachers and students. I recommend it to any of my friends with children especially in the Infant 1 and 2 age range.

I wish I could give it no stars. I have waited awhile to write this review as my son left this facility in 2010. We loved this place until we hit preschool and then my son was the troublemaker and uncontrollable. He was sent home for chasing a teacher around the room with scissors... why would a grown, educated teacher let a 4 year old chase them anywhere, even with BLUNT-END scissors? This facility just didnt want to try and only wanted to deal with kids who werent as strong-minded as my son. I would never recommend this facility and I would rather quit my job and stay home with my child that put him at this facility.
