Our experience as a family here at Minnequa Elementary so far for the 2015/16 year with the Kindergarten team and 1st grade team has been pretty dynamic! The whole administration team is awesome.

My daughters moved to this school from out of state 2 years ago... I have never experienced the issues as I have at this school. I have never had a problem with lice. once I bring this to the schools attention I was told by Mrs. Patterson, the schools principal, that they are not required by state law to have a nit free policy and they do not enforce a lice free environment and do NOT send the kids home for lice infestation!!! and the school only requires one treatment if sent home ( otc treatments require 2)... the most disgusting... most neglectfull school I have heard of!!!! what happened to looking out for children!!!!!! disgrace of a school

I grew up across the street at 1702 cedar. Great neighborhood and surrounding community-based organizations that have been around Bessemer for quite some time.

Worst school ever. Should be shut down for sure in my opinion
