Our 2 sons go to Princeton Montessori and we could not be happier with their experience, (and ours). We love that every day our children are taken outside of their comfort zones and exposed to experiences and opportunities in a safe and nurturing environment. We also love that the teachers make it their mission to discover and unlock each and every childs potential, as well as be a resource for parents. Princeton Montessori plays a huge role in the paths that our sons our on both academically, socially and as good citizens and we feel truly blessed.

When I began the search for my sons preschool, I was hesitant to look at Princeton Montessori School because despite the fact that I attended there when I was a child, it is quite a distance from our current home. However, after touring some other area Montessori schools, I realized a longer drive was worth it. Princeton Montessori stands out from all the competition in their materials and curriculum to the fun activities and extracurriculars. But the biggest selling point to me is the faculty. The teachers are compassionate, nurturing, and above all they have a passion for what they do. My son comes home every day excited about what hes learned. In the morning he cant wait to tell his teachers new stories from home. I feel like his teachers dont teach but rather help him embrace independence and follow his interests. Im blown away by the new things he is learning everyday.Im so happy that Ive been able to expose my child to this top notch education and love to see him thriving in this Montessori environment.

What can I say about Princeton Montessori without writing a 400 page review of all good things. Princeton Montessori has practically been a part of my entire life starting when I was 2.5 years old. I attended Princeton Montessori for 10.5 years from Primary up through Middle school and couldnt have been more grateful for such an amazing and memorable educational experience. Once I had my first daughter (who is now 4), I couldnt wait to send her to Princeton Montessori to experience the same quality education. Every day when I drop her off, I know that she is getting the best possible educational experience from the genuine care from teachers and faculty to the social experience of making best friends. Now I send my 2-year-old and she couldnt be happier and absolutely loves going to school. The teachers are remarkable! They care for my daughters like they are their own and have the most amazing patience, years of experience and have a genuine love for what they do. They truly want nothing but the best for my daughters. Princeton Montessori goes above and beyond other educational/daycare options out there and they are truly a second home for my children. You cannot put a dollar amount on what youre getting here and I am truly lucky to have both my children attend the Toddler and Primary programs. Montessori education is executed perfectly here and anyone that takes a tour will see a glimpse of how extraordinary this school is from the organized classrooms to the caring staff. When I have an opportunity to look in on a Toddler classroom (18 months to 3 years old) I see young independent toddlers sitting quietly with their work and cleaning up after themselves. Its amazing to see! When my daughters came home wanting to put their work away after playing with it I knew I found the perfect place. The memories and experiences my daughters are creating with their friends and teachers will last a lifetime and shape them into who they are and I couldnt think of a better place than Princeton Montessori School to do that.

If you are thinking about it PMS, I urge you to visit the campus and meet the teachers and administrators. You will not regret sending your kids there. We sent both our children to PMS over a three-year period where they were in the infant room and toddler and primary programs. The teachers, who have all been there for years and are highly educated and experienced, are phenomenal and create a calm, nurturing and welcoming place for kids to learn and grow. They are also a wonderful resource for parents and will make the time to speak with you about any of your concerns. They genuinely care about your child, you (the parent) and your family. Our older son was essentially potty trained and taught to write, read and add/subtract at PMS. In addition to academics and life skills, PMS addresses the whole child and social/emotional skills. Our children loved PMS and would run into their classrooms. The ratio of teachers to kids is so low that each kid gets individual attention. The campus is spacious and modern and the administrators are always available and responsive. The infant and toddler areas have a separate sleeping room with their own cribs and toddler beds (not mats on the floor). The outside grounds and play area are amazing as well. When you call to check in, someone answers the phone each and every time. The tuition can prevent a lot of people from considering PMS, but once you visit, you can appreciate what sets PMS apart. They do have a financial aid program as well. The only reason our children no longer attend PMS is because we moved out-of-state. And even after we moved, the teachers and administrators were a wonderful resource about transition and finding new schools for our children.

As a first-time mother who also works full-time, I could not have asked for a more deeply caring, gentle and nurturing environment for my infant daughter. She has been with Princeton Montessoris Infant Care Program since she was four months old, and since then has thrived and developed so beautifully. Credit goes to her teachers, whose excellent training is matched only by their big hearts and genuine love of children.

I attended PMS for 7+ years as a young person and still feel incredibly fortunate to have spent my formative years at this wonderful school. Learners at PMS develop critical reasoning skills and teamwork competencies phenomenally from an early age, but also hone in on those elements of development that are often harder to measure--empathy, open-mindedness, compassion, altruism, civic engagement. My peers from PMS have almost uniformly gone on to do amazing things in their communities and in the world at large. Many of us, self included, have gone into occupations where we focus on serving others and promoting equity. As a medical sociologist and public health program evaluator based at a highly ranked medical school at a large research university, every day in my work I see evidence of how well my Montessori education prepared me to be an effective team player and help to build bridges instead of building walls when working with others, and also evidence of the skills I developed in really listening to and affirming other people. I am able to make a difference in the world in large part because of the education I received at PMS. Anyone who has the opportunity and the means to send their child to this school absolutely should. A PMS education is a lifelong investment in responsible and impactful citizenship, in addition to outstanding and innovative academic achievement.

This is a school that feels like an extension of your family, with an administration that takes a sincere interest in your childs development and well-being. The faculty at Princeton Montessori is highly skilled and professional, and exceptionally warm and caring. The teaching methods really engage the children, and are designed to instill a life-long passion for learning. While it seems many schools focus on competition for grades or teaching to the test, this school takes a more progressive approach, recognizing that there is a lot more to future success and happiness than good grades. In addition to excellent academics, the school emphasizes (starting at an early age) the development of executive functioning skills, as well as the development of independence, initiative, respect for one another, community service, and leadership. The parent community is made up of interesting, fun and friendly people, and the excellent Head of School provides an environment that encourages open communication and parent involvement. Highly recommend!

I attended Princeton Montessori School from ages 5 to 13 and graduated from their 8th grade program. The school is amazing. I truly believe you cannot get a better education anywhere else. The teachers are so caring and highly trained, the school environment is so welcoming, the building is beautiful, the parents are engaged, and the curriculum teaches children from infancy through middle school to be empathetic, self-sufficient, self-disciplined, academically curious, and highly motivated.

Princeton Montessori is a wonderful school that will transform your child/ren (and your family) in the best way imaginable. It is one of the leading Montessori schools in the country, deeply involved in teacher education, and obviously spear-heading Montessori early childhood education.Every aspect from teaching + educational philosophy to teacher + staff choices and facility layout (large sun-filled classrooms, age-appropriate playgrounds and other outdoor spaces) greatly exceeded our expectations. Our now 3.5yr old daughter started in the infant center (

My son attended Princeton Montessori School from the time he was a toddler until he graduated after the 8th grade. We could not have been happier with his experience at the school. He was able to explore a world of creative ideas while also receiving a top notch education. When he graduated, he was accepted into three private preparatory high schools. He benefitted from his time at Princeton Montessori School in more ways than I could possibly explain in a simple Google review, but suffice it to say if we had to do it all over again, we would in a heartbeat.

Princeton Montessori School is an amazing school! My two children graduated from eighth grade, having started in the Infant and Toddler programs. They received so much more than an academic education, as Montessori focuses on developing the whole child. They learned valuable social skills like how to be part of a community, how to work as a team, and how to resolve conflicts with other kids. Their school experiences helped them develop into resilient, confident, respectful, and responsible kids who were able to start HS with strong time management skills. Having developed awareness about their strengths and weaknesses, they learned to advocate for themselves, which is key to them become independent young adults. The school environment is so warm, and it was always wonderful to hear my children greeted by their names by all of the teachers and administrators when I attended activities at the school. I am so grateful for the incredibly dedicated teachers my children had throughout their years at Princeton Montessori, and I feel so fortunate to have had them receive such a wonderful education.

We have two kids that have been at Princeton Montessori since they were babies. The oldest is now in their elementary program and the younger one in primary (the 3-6 age grouping). The positive impact the teachers at this fabulous school have had on my kids is immeasurable - I see it every day in the grace, courtesy, respect and kindness they show others that theyve learned from the examples leading the classrooms who treat them with that same grace, courtesy, respect and kindness. Although the school has all sorts of offerings and schedules for ages 6 months through 8th grade, my kids are at school from the time it opens (before school at 7:30AM) until it closes (after school until 6PM). They race to get in the car in the morning and I practically have to drag them out at days end. I have complete peace of mind that my kids are spending their day in a nurturing, loving and stimulating environment with a group of Montessori trained teachers who give them the care and support that they need to grow into independent, responsible, and loving people. Independence is encouraged, but a child never feels unprepared. Lessons are taught on every aspect of life -- eating with utensils at a young age, pouring from a pitcher, putting on a coat, tying shoes, sewing, and on and on. And the academics as they age (while untraditional and thus unfamiliar to many) are second to none. Just ask them about where their 8th Grade graduates have gone on to school for high school, college and beyond and youll be amazed. I cant recommend Princeton Montessori enough for any age and encourage anyone considering a private school in the area to check it out.
