This is one of the absolute best preschools Portland has to offer. I have absolutely loved being a part of this community, and it being a coop has enriched our home and personal lives dramatically! Teachers Emma and Laurie walk on water. They are truly fantastic and we were blessed to get in! My kiddos love it.

This has been a wonderful, gentle, kind, and nurturing first school experience for both my children. The teachers sparkle. On a practical note, I feel like it has the best balance of work commitment to being able to drop your child off and leave time of any of the co-ops that I looked at.

I love this little preschool! The teachers are knowledgeable and deeply invested in their students and the families. I am so thankful we have gotten involved here. The last two years have been great and we are looking forward to two more great years ahead!

Both my daughters have attended RCNP. We like the co-op experience, the teachers are wonderful and supportive (our first daughter had the star teacher who had been there for 33 years, our neighbors college age kids had her in preschool! Since retired, but the new star teacher is equally great!) and the school is wonderfully affordable.

Both of my children attended this school and it was such a wonderful experience for my entire family. Perfect way to be apart of your childs preschool experience and build a community of friends. These teachers will impact you and your childrens life in a way that will stay with you for a lifetime.

Both of my kids have attended RCNP. The entire experience has been extremely enriching for our family. The teachers are flexible, compassionate and very in tune with our kids’ needs. The community is warm, friendly and supportive. We have nothing but rave reviews for our co-op experience with RCNP!

Both of our children attended RCNP, and I cannot say enough about our experience. Both teachers are incredibly knowledgable about the developmental stages of these little ones, and sincerely care for their social, emotional and intellectual growth. The environment is beautiful and set up with great intention. Our son and daughter transitioned seamlessly into kindergarten, and we remain connected to families that we met during our sweet time at the preschool. An all around wonderful experience!

Wrapping up four consecutive years at RCNP and I can’t share enough of how impactful this co-op school has been upon our family. We love the focus on PLAY and building SOCIAL/EMOTIONAL skills- we need more kindness and empathy in this world and I believe it starts in these early years. As a parent, this school has given me new tools for my tool box for each of my children- they are sooo different! As a child going into RCNP one can be curious, wonder, experiment, make mistakes, create stories, engage in problem solving and coming up with your own strategies! We love the approach and wisdom the teachers take with each class. So much time outside of classroom hours goes into the intentionality of how each day is approached. You can see how much these teachers love their job!The balance of the co-op job, tuition, reasonable fundraising, and parent helping has been such a wonderful introduction into getting our feet wet with our children’s education. Being in the classroom allows you to see all the happenings and get to know the other students, which builds trust amongst the co-op families, making for great connections for playdates and child care swaps!So happy we followed a friend’s advice and applied right when our oldest could join the STAR class (3-4 yrs)! We are proud alumni!
