Our 16 month old has gone to the Downtown KinderCare since he was three months old. We had a wonderful experience in the infant room. It was small and the babies were well loved. I always felt more like I was dropping my little man off with family; they welcomed him with open arms.We are loving the toddler program, teachers, and the school. I really appreciate the pictures we receive throughout the day and that the teachers have sent pictures of the classroom. This helps make it feel like we get to “see” the class. It’s great. The drop-off & pick-up procedures are easy and professional. Plus, Miss Dee is always there with a big / warm smile... even when I’m telling her we forgot shoes at home.It’s obvious that the center is serious about the precautions necessary to keep the kiddos and staff safe; I appreciate that.The classroom itself is great. I can tell my little man is learning/growing. I think he sings songs at home, so I’m guessing there must be some songs they sing throughout the day? He often sounds like he’s trying to sing something (just in baby language, but he surely knows what he’s saying!). It’s been incredible watching him grow and blossom while in the toddler class.

Our 18 month old started with Kindercare in March and we are so happy he’s there. As soon as he moved to the toddler room, his gross motor and verbal skills improved exponentially. The teachers are wonderful and thoughtful; they leave us long notes about what he does during the day, and we get plenty of pictures in the afternoon. At his 18 month wellness check, his pediatrician said he was hitting 2 year old milestones! We credit a lot of that to Kindercare’s challenging curriculum, and teachers who bring it to life.During the pandemic, they have been incredibly communicative, accommodating, and strict with following safety measures, even before they were mandatory.Highly recommend!

My children love this school and adore their teachers. We have been here over 2 years. I am amazed at the skills my children come home showing me. From our toddler who is learning how to eat with utensils and how to walk, to our four year old who is learning writing skills and how to dig for dinosaur bones or bake a pretzel- I feel like this is a great place for our family. The teachers really care about the kids in their care and they have always been able to help answer any questions Ive had about my sons development. They are true professionals and partners in raising our sons.Having 2 working parents outside the home is rough and can make days long for our kids, but I believe kindercare is the perfect fit for us and I know they are being well cared for.

My kiddo is on his second year at the Downtown KinderCare in, and we couldnt be happier. Saying the teachers genuinely care about the kids is an understatement. To drop your child off for hours with people you dont know is the scariest things you can do. But trust me when I say their teachers will feel like family to you in no time. Along with all the love, the curriculum and supplemental classes are very engaging and well worth the money. They offer a STEM class, and now my 5 year old tells me about coding! Hes also a picky eater, so we signed him up for cooking class, hoping that would expand his tastes. Yesterday, they made kale chip!! After his time at the center, I know he is going to be more than ready for kindergarten!!

Our 13 months old daughter is going here and we love the place! qualified team, energetic and caring teachers !! The facility is clean and the communication from them is great! We see that she is having fun there and we recommend it to all!!

I have been to and visited many KinderCares and this location by far has the best staff. Management teams, and the level of care is out standing! I know my child is loved and treated well because drop offs are a breeze and pick ups and never late enough. The classrooms are clean and ready for their adapted learning styles!

Kindercare has a special place in our hearts! Not only do they take such good care of our little girl, they are all very informative & friendly with my husband and I. Our daughter is always busy doing cognitive activities, crafts, and other work shops. I love being updated on the app at the end of the day. They are very detailed, and are helping potty train our little one. So glad our daughter has had the experience to attend Kindercare!

My son (age 2) has been going to the Downtown Portland Kindercare for about seven months and we could not be happier with them! He absolutely adores his teachers and comes home every day telling me about all of the fun activities they did and what they learned. Everyone who works at this location has been so kind and helpful. They jumped on board when we were ready to potty train and have been so supportive through every stage since weve been there. I also love that they send pictures and videos throughout the day of what they are up to!

Absolutely top-notch staff - the teachers are AMAZING. Cant say enough about the experience weve had with the Downtown KinderCare location - fantastic activities and curriculum, highly professional and compassionate teachers (with both the kids and the parents!!), and the management is awesome.

We have been at the downtown Portland Kindercare location since our son was around 5-6 months old. As an educator myself, I was very nervous about sharing the care and development of my son. Currently, we now have our second child at Kindercare and we couldnt be happier. The teachers provide a nurturing and engaging environment for them, while always discussing things with us in an extremely collaborative way, while keeping our childrens happiness and joy at the forefront. They provide nutritious snacks, along with STEM (science technology engineering and math) activities, and a general curriculum to promote literacy, math, and social development, and they even provide calming spaces and emotional development activities which is the new practice to provide social and emotional learning in schools. while still provide room for a lot of structured and unstructured play and creativity time for the kids. They even practice fire and earthquake drills to ensure they are prepared, highly trained staff with their own professional development, and winter performances. The bottom line is that we trust that our children are in good hands.

We’ve been with the Downtown Portland KinderCare for sometime now. We had our little one stay with my parents for the first 2 years. Before deciding on KinderCare, I called, toured and interviewed different providers. I chose this location because of how welcoming, opening and organization. The teachers are AMAZING! Our daughter started in the Discovery Room. The first week was the hardest week for me and the center director called me (without request) and let me know that my baby was doing great and how I was feeling is 100% normal. My not-so-little little one is in pre-school and ADORES her teacher and all the teachers at Downtown Portland KinderCare. Everyday is an adventure and Pre-School is a classroom full of imagination. Yun is the preschool teacher and she does such a wonderful job with incorporating her lessons in a world where kids can understand and make sense of things. Her classroom is so different every week. She’s like the Miss Frizzle of KinderCare. Amber, who’s in PreK is great. When the kids aren’t gettin along or when they get frustrated, she gets down on their level and talk with the kids and help them solve the issue.I am that parent who goes and sits in during lunch or play time.It’s an open center. My favorite part is the School creates a relationship with each parent and work with us to continue the learning at home.There is a great family vibe at KinderCare.They’re an amazing group of people.
