My daughter has been a student of Irish dance at Yeates Academy for the past 6 years. As a dancer, she has received dedicated training and support that has allowed her to succeed in this highly competitive sport. The caliber of instruction is top notch. She has gained confidence beyond the dance stage, made incredible friendships and is part of a community of dancers and teachers that hold themselves to the highest standards. The parent community is incredible, making us all feel welcome in the world of Irish dance! We love this school!

As a mother of 2 sons and sister of 2 brothers, I assure you that being a dance mom was not something that had ever entered my mind. My oldest son had different ideas, however, and six years later is now a World Qualifier in Irish dance. Yeates Academy has lovingly nurtured both he and me on every step of this journey, and for their care and kindness, I will forever be grateful. The entire Yeates staff is not only committed to developing excellent dancers, but also exceptional human beings who display compassion, respect, and resiliency. We are now connected to this community and our culture in a way I never thought possible, and being an Irish dance mom now seems as if it is what I was always destined to be :-)

What started as a class to connect our oldest daughter with our Irish heritage has turned into over 15 years of involvement with the Yeates Academy. All three of our daughters have benefited from excellent dance instruction and have had the opportunity perform and compete at the regional and national level. The studio provides a caring environment, where students are encouraged to work hard, set goals, and be a respectful and resilient competitor. All beneficial skills as they move through life! Thank you Sinead, Breda, Molly, Meghan, and Meaghan for your dedication and passion for the sport of Irish dance. We will forever be grateful for our daughters’ experiences at the Yeates Academy of Irish Dance!

I have been part of Yeates Academy for over 20 years. As a dancer, I couldn’t ask for a more supportive training environment. We are able to showcase our strengths on the dance floor while continuing to become stronger, more athletic dancers and learning critical life skills such as teamwork and commitment. Everyone gets the same amount of attention in class, no matter the dancer’s skill level, and Sinead, Meaghan, Molly and Breda are dedicated to helping us achieve our goals. Participation in competitions is strongly encouraged but certainly not required, and performance opportunities are available throughout the year, especially during St. Patrick’s Day, as well as an annual recital. I’m incredibly proud to be a Yeates dancer and I feel so grateful every day for our nurturing, supportive community and family!

Yeates Academy is an amazing and inspiring place to be. All of the dancers and teachers are motivational, and everyone gets the one-on-one attention that they need. We also get the chance to dance with other dancers as a team, and make great friends.

We found Yeates through my daughters school, A Renaissance School of Arts and Sciences where Sinead Yeates teaches an exploratory class. It was the beginning of an incredible journey. She has been dancing for 4 years and her only regret is that she cant go to class everyday. She has loved the instructors who spend time individually developing the skills and technique of each dancer. The competitions and performance groups have given her confidence that she has taken into the rest of her life. She has made incredible friends that she cant wait to see each class and the parents are a fun community. I never would have found this unique sport and now we cant imagine our lives without it. We have traveled for competitions, we look forward to all of the St. Patricks day performances, the annual recital and the workshops that push dancers to the next level. I cant remember what our house sounded like before we had the constant sound of dancing feet. Thank you Breda, Sinead, and Megan for your incredible support!

My daughter has been a student here for over 6 years. From day 1 we were welcomed in the Yeates Academy Family with open arms. Not only has my daughter learned how to Irish dance but she has also made lifelong friends, learned how to handle competition, commitment, and teamwork. I cant say enough about the teachers and studio directors. Sinead is an amazing teacher who works with each dancer to help them achieve their goals and support them every step of the way. Thank you Sinead, Breda, and Molly for such a wonderful dance school!
