Great Hip Hop teacher, Jazmyn has amazing energy and a unique style. She makes sure that all movers feel welcome, all levels and backgrounds!

Attempted to secure a couple private dance classes and the person did not commit. Over multiple voice messages I left my phone number and email address in an attempt to have another person take over. No one called back or responded.Disappointing result.

This organization is incredible! I attended their full circle event which was to raise money for their youth programs and I had the privilege of taking two classes. Both of the teachers were phenomenal. One of the classes was Dance Church which I continue to take to this day. It is such an accessible and welcoming class that allows you to move your body in a way that feels good to you without any judgement. I am so grateful this dance studio exists in our community.

We feel very lucky to have found this studio for our daughter. Weve been thrilled to be a part of the youth ballet program since the studio opened. Students receive individual attention in a small class setting. This allows them to make great gains in both technique and confidence. Ms. Kathryn has been instrumental in creating a supportive and safe environment for her students!

Steps is an amazing studio. I train in the ballet program and the instructors are both supportive and challenging. I have grown so much as a dancer and person here, as have my fellow students. The pieces we perform are interesting and showcase our abilities. The community is warm and accepting, and a wide variety of levels participate, making this studio a great place to train from the novice to the professional.

Our daughter has trained here since the studio opened and the training has transformed both her dancing and her attitude toward dance. Instructors meet students where they are and give them individual attention, and the teachers foster a warm and supportive community among students. The quality of instruction is phenomenal. Even intermediate-level students have the opportunity to perform twice a year in multiple pieces, and the studio takes education about dance outside of the classroom with opportunities to see and discuss performances from professional companies. It has been a joy to become part of the Steps PDX family and we look forward to seeing it thrive in the future!

I take intensive ballet classes here, as well as Ellové technique and contemporary, and I must say all the teachers are impeccable at what they do, and all of them are so kind! It is truly apparent they care for their students, so its nice being a part of a community that is so accepting and passionate about what they do. Ive been to several other ballet schools, and by far, this is probably the only school Ive ever truly felt a part of.

Excellent variety of movement classes, high quality instructors, comfortable space. Definitely taking classes here long term!For those new to the area, the STEPS PDX studio is inside the Troy Building, so you’ll need to be buzzed in at the door.

Wonderful teachers. The space is a little removed from the street, and the studio feels intimate, but lots of soul goes on here! The hip hop is contemporary and challenging!

Amazing staffs!! Inspirational- educational atmosphere. The founder, Kathryn is passionate and generous teacher for all generations.

Steps PDX has been a welcoming and supportive community for me as an adult who is new to dance. Classes have all been small and instruction has been personal and individualized. Big ups to Raven and the amazing instruction she gives in contemporary floorwork!
