At first glance, Cathedral School may seem like a great place to send your children. After my kids went here, they were completely emotionally damaged from the toxic environment this school creates. The parents are so rude and use their money as a way to justify their actions. My daughter was completely ostracized from her peers because my husband and I were not very involved due to us having full time jobs. The kids here are raised to think they are better than everyone else and have no real life skills. The parents raise them to think that wealth is the most important thing and value it over all else. In conclusion, this is an awful place to send your children if you want them to grow and develop as members of our community.

My husband and I started as parishioners at the Cathedral and heard great things about school next door. We were beyond thrilled to see the community involvement and thoughtfulness geared toward our child’s development. The school provides advances in technology but also teaches my child how to use that technology responsibly. They teach him how to be kind and a part of a larger community. Couldn’t be more happy with the school. Wish we would have started him in preschool!

One of the best schools in Portland. I’ve never seen such faculty devotion to child development and parental concerns. The best value in the Metro area. By a long shot.

Cathedral School puts a strong emphasis on technology and I definitely appreciate the hands on opportunities my child has in STEM. Their efforts to win and maintain their credentials as an Apple Distinguished School are evident throughout the educational experience. Day in and day out I am extremely pleased with the passionate, caring teachers and staff. The school culture is very nurturing--from the system of partnering the preK, kindergarten and first grade children with a year long buddy from the older grades to the fact that the administration is on a first name basis with every child and the church staff is kind and approachable for both parents and students alike. Cathedral School is definitely a hidden gem in NW Portland!

I am incredibly impressed by Cathedral School. My child started in their pre-kindergarten class and we will be continuing her education at the school. The student/teacher ratios are unbelievable in a time when public school classrooms are bursting at the seams. The focus on the well rounded student--art, language, music, technology, math, PE and science--from even the youngest grades is unmatched. Most schools are cutting back these critical learning experiences, yet Cathedral School continues to find ways to keep adding academic programs. My child is not just learning at Cathedral School, she is thriving. And the community of parents and teachers is incredible. I encourage families, Catholic or not, to explore the school as an option. The learning opportunities are unparalleled.

I can not say enough about how wonderful this school has been for our family. The principle, teachers and curriculum are exactly what so many of us parents are looking for for our little ones. We could not be happier here!
