We joined PPRS in March when I had to return to work- our son was 3 months old at the time. I wasnt ready to leave him, but our experience has been awesome. We went to a few different locations interviewing staff and touring facilities- this is our first child so definitely overprotective and wanted the best close to home! We found it.My sons teacher Mrs. Marissa is fantastic- he loves spending time with her and shes always eager to have him. Shes a pleasure to talk to whether it be about plans for his daily activities or motherly advise. She sends me photos during the day so Im aware of what he does-particularly working on sensory activities and developmental milestones.Other items incorporated daily which are particularly useful for my family: bilingual exposure, regular readings, music, tummy time, naps in his crib, timely diaper changes, establishing a routine. There is open communication about how my sons day went which helps us plan for the evening.Mrs Shelly was the first person I met when I toured while pregnant. Shes been a peach as well- open door policy so always available for questions, concerns, comments or general conversation. Shes friendly and kind hearted and you can tell she puts the kids first! Were very happy with our experience so far (3 months).4 stars because theres always room for improvement, but they treat my son well, hes being appropriately socialized and those were huge initial concerns as first time parents

Shelly is great! She will work with families and looks out for the children. When we considered bringing our kids to PPRS, we liked the security of the classroom area. The security and Shellys willingness to work with us were our top reasons for enrolling our children here.

I am a foster parent who uses the Pleasant Prairie Renaissance school. I have been extremely thankful for the way that they handle our special cases. Shelly will go above and beyond to make anything work. The teachers are so sensitive to each childs individual needs. I have not found another center that will take kiddos on emergency basis. Thank you for all you do!!

The summer teachers were great. Then everything went downhill. The director seems nice but makes excuses for everything. My daughter fell and no one reported it. She had a fat lip and they didnt even notice! After complaining they then reported it to me the next two times she fell on a hard tile/concrete floor. The third time they claimed she only had a small red spot on her tongue when she had bleeding gum and a red mark on her face/lip! They lied right to my husbands face when he pointed it out to them saying they didnt see anything! They dont like parents that want a better environment for their kids. They kicked my daughter out because we didnt like that she was coming home with a dirty face with food and dirt on it. They said they couldnt meet our demands of wanting our child to play on a safe mat and clean her runny nose and face. That is why they kicked her out. The director claimed that she cant hear out of one ear or see out of one eye. Why is she taking care of kids if she cant help them or see what is going on in her own facility?!

My son was sent home from this school at the end of the day, approximately 3 weeks, ago with a bruise the size of a quarter on the left side of his forehead and slight swelling. There was no incident report. A Ms. Katie was his childcare attendant at this time. The director, Shelly, was made aware of this after the incident when my fiancé called in to ask what happened. She had no idea so she claimed. When I brought this subject up over a week ago, my son was removed from the enrolled list permanently. They kicked him out due to their negligence and inadequate staff. Be aware that this could happen to you!

The first reviewer must not have been clear about their wishes, or there is some other sort of explanation. We had almost given up on finding a good pre-school in the area and Renaissance has been a dream come true. I think everyone should check things out independently as I have heard things about RecPlex that are seriously more disturbing. Anyone can write a review, check for yourself and decide on your own.

My daughter has been attending PPRS for two years now and we both love it!. From the first time I took her in for a visit I knew this was the place for us! The director and teachers made us feel welcome and I knew my daughter would be loved. It is great to have just more than child care while I cant be with my child. She can be rather clingy and all I hear is how much they love my daughter which I cant explain the relief I feel. It puts me at such an ease that my daughter has such a smile on her face when she sees her teachers. I can not Thank PPRS enough on how much they truly care for not only my daughter but the children in their care!

This place got our child confused with another and gave an infant real food.... horrible experience with our child. Multiple issues. We left after 6 weeks. The Rec Plex is 1000 times better then this place with a way better staff and facilities.

After searching high and low for child care I found PPRS and immediately I felt the love from the director and the teachers. I see PPRS more than just child care while I’m working, their family to my boys and I greatly appreciate the commitment the teachers give to all children. My kids love their teachers and it puts me at ease when they have a smile across their face, happy to walk in their classrooms. The teachers keep me updated with their daily activities and their achievements. I highly recommend PPRS; they truly care about their children and give the love they need when away from home!
