Love the Ahwatukee Aqua-Tots the whole team staff and teachers are nice and helpful. The swim coaches are super sweet and invested in my two kids success. They prefer 2 days a week but they still did a stellar job guiding my son he went from level 4 to level 5 within a few months on 1 day a week.

We love aqua-tots! Coach Cait and coach Ava have been awesome with my children. We enjoy attending classes twice a week and couldn’t be any happier with the progress being made weekly. All the coaches are very attentive and encouraging.

We started bring our son Sebastian this summer. He’s currently in the Minnows class. He absolutely loves it. We started with coach Alex which we loved. She was so encouraging and was extremely knowledgeable. We miss her but we are just as happy with coach Ava. She is so nice and helpful. She’s always encouraging all kids and pointing out their strengths when they master a skill. Sebastian has improved so much since day one. He really enjoys coming to his swimming classes. I definitely recommend aqua tots.

Water can be a scary thing for kids, especially little ones and in Arizona as we all know a danger to our small ones. Aqua tots is such a great place to learn to swim and have your little one gain confidence around water. The program they have set up is amazing! Based on age and their current skills they develop the right program for your kid. They work with them very closely, establishing trusting relationships and teaching confidence and skills so your child should anything happen, be prepared around water. They allow you to choose from a large range of times to bring your child in and are very flexible if you can’t make it. You miss a class? No worries, they let you make it up another time, at your convenience! You never lose your money. The coaches, well they are great at having the right kind of coaches who are not just prepared with the skills to teach your child but they are so patient, prepared to help the screaming crying child petrified of water to the kids who might have trouble focusing or paying attention. They are all prepared for everything and anything you throw at them. Because of this curriculum and amazing teachers my daughter, terrified of water is swimming all by herself in just a few short months. She use to cry knowing she had swim and now she can’t wait to go because she loves all her coaches, the fun atmosphere and working on the awesome new skills she’s developed! Thanks to the aqua tots coaches for being stellar!

This place is always so clean and organized! the instructors are always so welcoming and especially patient with the little little ones. They definitely make it easy, fun, and interesting for the kids. Me as a parent being there, I also always enjoy Watching the instructors teach at the perfect pace. I have the peace of mind that I know my kids are learning to be safe in the water and beyond the basic skills. I definitely will continue to take the 30 minute drive twice a week out here for my kids to keep learning.

My 4 year old son is on the spectrum and this is his first time in swim School. The coaches are very nice and consistent. They all use the same vocabulary to ensure a consistent learning environment. they even had extra deck supervisors in case he needed the extra attention during the class. There was never more than 4 kids in his class. Well be continuing lesson beyond summer...*Update*this program has improved my sons abilities, confidence and awarenesses around water. We consistently come 2x/week since June (started with 1x/week....not enough) . The classes have added a safe and fun outlet for high energy 4yo as well as more structure to our family routine. To top it off the thirty minutes behind the glass is a nice time out for us all😂🥰If you live in az and have a small child these programs are a must

I brought my son before summer to improve his swimming and his ability to go under water. Within a month, he was swimming confidently and all of his fear of having water hit his face was gone. All of the instructors are super patient and always welcoming.Coach Brooke and Marissa were his main instructors and they are really amazing. My only regret is not bringing him when he was younger.It is worth the price. I promise that even if you only go for a short time, your kids will be able to confidently be around water and be safe.

Great coaches and a complete facility. My son has formed a bond with coaches and is very comfortable with them. In 2 months he has come a long way. On first day when he was crying and not entering in water, one of the off duty coach sat with him the whole time to make him comfortable and he now loves it. It has helped in boosting his confidence as well. I would recommend this place for kids who are looking to learn from caring coaches.

We started at Aqua-Tots in March and our first class was a disaster. Crying, screaming, non-participating daughter. I’d be lying to you if in that moment I didn’t think about pulling our then 3 year old out of the class. The coaches thought otherwise, they suggested going from 1 day a week to 2 days; we thought they were crazy.For the next 2 weeks our daughter cried for the first 15 minutes of class then would eventually relax, but that was it 2 weeks of forcing your kid to do something that will save their life someday. Coach Joe and the other staff there are top notch. Their level of patience is commendable.TODAY (3 months later) she had graduated from level 3 and is moving to level 4. She LOVES to swim and looks forward to coming to class every week.

The staff and coaches here are wonderful and will work well with you and your kids. Great place for them to learn to swim, and the water is nice and warm so nobody freezes

The fact that my daughter is excited for her classes means they are doing it right. If only we have discovered this place early on but it doesn’t matter since they are able to categorize her level fairly. I recommend to have 2-3 sessions per week or at least have a back to back classes since 30mins/session is quite short. I hope soon my kid will level up to the next one. 👍

We are so grateful to Aqua Tots and all of their instructors for taking the time to truly understand our swimmer’s comfort level and needs. They’ve been so thoughtful and strategic about her lesson level, moving her along when her confidence matched her skills, and cheering her on through all of it. My daughter recently started June 2021. “Amazing” is the word I would describe this facility. From the front desk to the coaches there all friendly and informative. On the other hand coach, Janelle is Outstanding! My daughter is 3 years old and toddlers can be tricky, but the coach is patient and you can tell quickly she loves her job. My little one has learned so much and improving each week. Im so happy we found this facility. Recommend 100%

We love taking our son to Ahwatukee Aquatots! Coach Payton, Amanda, Caitlin and the entire staff are incredibly friendly, full of energy and awesome with kids! I’m consistently in awe of their patience working with all the wild and crazy littles. They’ve always gone above and beyond with our little man when he’s needed extra help or been difficult. We drive 40 minutes each way to take him for a half and hour class and it’s totally worth it!

My daughter has been going to swim for over a year and has progressed great! We have went up 2 swim levels since being there. The coaches are amazing and very supportive for the kids development.

We wanted to teach our one year old how to swim since we noticed he loves water! We wanted something more private and friendly not really crowded! We love how they focus one on one with the child and parent! We love IT!

Aqua-Tots is a great swim school! Amanda took the time to help my terrified 3 year old get comfortable and into the pool. My daughter now loves swim lessons. Her coach Breanna, does a great job encouraging the kids but also pushing them to help them improve. We love Aqua-Tots!

My daughter has learned so many new skills from her teacher Kayla. Additionally, the staff who work at this location are all RIDICULOUSLY sweet and kind. This place and the people are great. We did swim lessons previously through a city run program. That program did not encourage putting the face in the water. So my kiddo could not get past that and be comfortable in the water. Every time she got water on her face she would freak out. From the very first class they had her going under. Did she hate it? Yes but she did it. The first month she cried before and during Every class. After talking to the coaches we decided to increase to 3 times a week with a different coaches each day. The turn around was so fast it surprised me. Instead of crying before and during every lesson shes excited and happy to go. Shes still nervous but having fun and getting better everyday.

The entire staff, from the persons at the front desk to the swim coaches and the management are always cheerful, friendly and helpful. They make the experience of coming here a very positive one. My children enjoy their lessons very much!

We love Aquatots Ahwatukee location. We have 2 children enrolled and every instructor has been great with our kids. Everyone is friendly and professional. They have also been amazing and flexible with allowing us to reschedule or lessons last minute when needed.

We absolutely love aqua tots!! I know there are multiple locations but after our experience here, even once we move this will continue to be our home. Everyone is so nice and attentive and while it may be small, I love that EVERY worker says hi to every child by name. It truly feels like a family; it’s such a warm, productive atmosphere. This has been the only place I’ve felt consistently comfortable taking my 1 & 3 year old since the pandemic began. The instructors give great feedback and the GM Amanda even took the extra time to type up exercises to do at home in the tub to help my 3 year old progress. Great team of people and highly encourage all parents to get their kiddos signed up. The younger the better.

What to say about this place! This place has been nothing but welcoming since we started almost a year ago :) we’ve taken our daughter who’s now 4 years old and loves it. Amazing swim lessons! Prior to March 2020, our daughter had been going to Aqua Tots in Ohio for about 9 months. Covid hit and we moved to Phoenix and never made it a priority. Truly unbelievable the steps she took back in that 10 months off. Just started back up and the staff/coach made her feel so comfortable and continued to support her in all ways. This is a great aqua tots with incredible employees and owner. Very impressed with this location and look forward to both of my daughters in the pool every week. If you can help it, do not take a break from swim lessons, they are so important.

I currently have 2 of my kids enrolled at this location and I couldn’t be happier. The instructors are very polite, friendly and well versed in what they do. My son Matthew is 6 years old with zero swimming experience and after 3 lessons he can almost float in his own and his instructor has given him the confidence he needs to be in the water. The group classes are small (his class has 3-4 kids each week) which is great since I’ve had experiences with other swimming schools (different company) in the valley where their classes can have up to 8 children and there is absolutely no time for individualized attention and goals. The inside of the this location is always kept clean and the front staff is super sweet, polite and friendly! Love this team and I can confidently say that I could not have found a better swimming school!

I simply cannot sing enough praises about Aqua-Tots Ahwatukee. Anyone that answered the phone, and questions, was always very positive and professional. Keri is kind, accommodating and flexible with my make up sessions, and the facility is incredibly clean and inviting. We worked solely with Janell, as an instructor, and her comfort, patience, experience and insight definitely shine! My son (16 months) and I had a wonderful time learning and growing with these two while we had the chance. Sadly, we need to move but I would recommend ATA in a heartbeat! Thanks for all youve done and continue to do for all. 🌱🤍

We absolutely love the Aqua-Tots family. We started swim lessons at the YMCA after hearing good reviews from others but were sadly disappointed in the amount of interaction and learning that our daughter received. After just one lesson at Aqua-tots our daughter learned more than she had in 4 weeks at the Y. Our daughter is only 4 and able to swim in her own due to the amazing coaches here. Our son, who is 2, can jump in, turn around & get himself back to the wall then climb out of the pool on his own. He is well on his way to swimming across the pool.We cant say enough great things about the coaches and staff here. They are like family. Aqua-tots had been the best investment that we have made in our kids lives so far!

We have been coming to Aqua-Tots since our son was 6 months old!!! Now he’s 4.5 years old, he’s grown in their pool!!! We’ve had a lot of amazing coaches that have helped him go from level to level. We feel known in this place, you are not a number and we loved the fact that all personnel was invested in my son graduating from his last level. It took him awhile but everyone was ruling for him!! He has now the goal of making it to level 6 to get his medal and he’s been progressing so much so fast that we know he’ll make it. Thanks to Aqua-Tots we have been enjoying our pool this summer more than ever!!!!

I love Aquatots Ahwatukee! I started my daughter at 8 months old and now at 27 months I have seen her grow so much. My girls have been swimming here since they were a year old. They are now 2.5 and great swimmers. What I love most about AquaTots is they teach them water safety. They learn boundaries like not entering the pool until an adult says go. They have learned how to swim back to the wall after jumping in, how to turn from their stomach to back and float, as well as good breath control. The feedback from coaches after class is very helpful so we can practice at home too. It gives me peace of mind knowing that they know how to be safe in the pool. The AquaTots staff are incredible. They all know my girls by name and make us all feel so welcomed and cared for. My girls have developed so much confidence thanks to the amazing staff. The facility is very clean and well maintained. The customer service is impeccable. We always look forward to swimming lessons. We feel so blessed to have found AquaTots.

Teaching children to swim is critically important in Arizona. Aqua-Tots has been a totally positive experience for our daughter. She has consistently progressed in a short period of time and loves going to her lessons. The teachers are positive and enthusiastic every time and always tell us what she is learning and how she can improve. But always in a positive, encouraging way. Their program works best when you commit to being there for every lesson, preferably several times a week. But it works. Our child has confidence in the water and when she is done with the program, we will not have to worry about drowning because she will have the necessary and important water survival and swimming skills.

My daughter has learned so much in such a short time and can already submerge. She is only 8 months old!

So I wanted to leave a review for a while but it wasn’t until this morning that I knew exactly what I wanted to write. My daughter fell in the pool (she is a little over a year) she immediately held her breath and turned to her back. If it was not for the skills she learned Aqua Tots Swim Lessons it could have been a different scenario. Her dad was sitting there watching her so he was able to immediately grab her out. This just shows even with adult supervision anything can happen in a split second. Swim lessons are a must if you have a pool Or live by a large water area like a pond. Aqua Tots Swim Lessons can help you and coach Jannel (sorry if I spelled that wrong) is the best!!! We started going when baby girl was about five months old of course during the pandemic we weren’t able to go but the lessons we got so far are amazing.

Our daughter has been attending Aqua Tots in Ahwatukee for over a year now and I really like the instructors and all of the staff at this location. They are very friendly, supportive and gentle with the infants and toddlers they instruct. Im sure theyre just as proficient with the older children as well. They are very easy going when it comes to cancelling and/or rescheduling a class and make-up lessons never expire. They know my daughter by sight and her name, which is nice to see how involved they are with the students and parents. I highly recommend this swimming school.

We had our first lesson today and it was so much fun. My 2yo and 4mo took to the water and instructors right away. The staff was so helpful as well. Everyone is friendly and made it a great experience.

For the second time at this location a small child fell into the water without the teacher noticing. This happened to my 2.5-year old daughter yesterday. There is another terrifying review from a couple months ago of the same thing happening. The teacher had her back to the students, including my daughter, while she was working with another student in the water. My daughter fell in, and my mother had to run into the pool area to get the teacher’s attention. My daughter was fine, but was very frightened and was crying after she was pulled from the water. It is not acceptable to ever turn your back on a 2.5 year old in the water. It also is not acceptable to not have staff on deck to serve as a second set of eyes for the teachers in the water when they are working with small children. The fact that this has happened twice at this location so close together strongly suggests that their training and safety protocols are inadequate. No parent should ever have to run into the pool area to save their child from potentially drowning at a swim school. I hope that they are able to remedy this because before this incident my daughter loved her classes and her swim skills were improving.

This place is so amazing. My daughter at 3 years of age could swim already, but I wanted her to swim like Michael Phelps. They taught her the professional skills she needed, so well that when we were in Germany the lifeguards came over to my wife to ask what school was my daughter in. My wife proudly said Aqua-Tots in Arizona of theUSA. I have talked to other parents who have took their children out of other swimming clubs to learn from this particular school. If you want a school where safety is the utmost of importance, skills are paramount and your children will have a lot of fun. Mrs Keri and her staff are it.

You know what? I really love this place. My husband and I were not sure if our 2 year old with a physical disability would really get anything out of swim lessons at such a young age. Weve been taking her for about 4 months now, and shes already advanced significantly. I love how each class we see the same kids and their parents. It allows for a sense of community and a familiarity for our daughter. The staff is very knowledgeable and our kids love them. Weve even decided to start bringing our 1 year old into the water. Such has a lovely owner and staff! They are super flexible, too. Id say try it out, even if you arent sure. We decided to give it 4 lessons to see how our daughter did. Were not going anywhere else!

Awesome place to take your little ones to learn how to Swim.The instructors are beyond incredible when figuring out how to get the most frightened kids into the pool in their own accord. Very heart warming. I wish AT was around when I was a kid.

All the instructor and staff have been wonderful to work with. They take the time to work individually with each child and build a trusting relationship with them. Their classes are flexible and scheduled at good hours for little ones.

My daughter Lucy, loves it here!!! She loves the staff!!! They have the perfect amount of students per class. Theres 4 students to one coach. They give attention to all the students. They are awesome here. They are willing to work with you on your (my) hectic schedule. It is reasonably priced and worth it. Especially for my daughters safety around pools. Overall we love it here!!!

Our family loves the Aqua-Tots Swim School in Ahwatukee! We always have a great experience. All the staff is very friendly. The pool is heated and perfect for swimming during the winter or summer. The small class sizes make me as a parent much more comfortable with letting my kids go in the pool without me. Each child gets instruction individualized to their abilities. I definitely recommend bringing your kids. My kids look forward to lesson day. *I have a promotional relationship with this school but all opinions are mine. My kids are very happy at Aqua-Tots Swim School in Ahwatukee.

Aqua-Tots is an amazing facility! The staff is friendly and courteous, convenient class times, small class size with a MAX of 4 kids. The coach gives very detailed, specific comments on each childs strengths as well as where they could use improvement. My children brought home new skills after their first lesson.

I love this group! They are always so helpful and great to be around. My daughter is often sick when I call in to tell them she will not make it, they show genuine concern for her. The next time we come in, no matter who is at the front desk they ask how she is. My daughter is 16 months old, she loves Coach Sarah but waves and plays with all of the coaches and front desk workers. My husband and I talked about getting her into swim lessons and within a couple weeks, Aqua-Tots opened a few blocks from us. We are so excited that we signed her up here and have even decided not to move out of Ahwatukee to ensure she can stay with this group. I 100% recommend them for swim lessons!!

I enrolled my son in a month worth of refresher swim lessons during summer break. At first he wasn’t that excited about it, but by the time the month was over, he wanted to stay in swim lessons. All of the instructors and employees are very friendly here!! They made swim lessons enjoyable!

Weve been there since they opened last spring and LOVE IT!! Great staff and owners!!! My 2 year old LOVES going there and has really progressed. Sometimes as a parent watching, it seems like such slow process but when your child finally gets it and REALLY understands it, the system all makes sense. It is well worth the money spent and time it takes!! Thank you for opening in the Ahwatukee area!!! Those who feel its too lengthy of process, stop and think about it, how long do we have to attend school to really learn and master something? We will continue to attend until shes ready for a swim team!!! :)

Wow, what a great place! Clean, kid friendly, and you can tell the staff really care about each child AND their families. If you’re looking for a top notch swim school, and you’re anywhere near Ahwatukee, I highly recommend Aqua Tots!

This place is horrible. They do not teach your child to swim. Instead they put them in a set of 4 kids and splash around. Its a 30 minute set with 4 kids in the set. Each kid gets 8 minutes of attention. The other 22 is watching. The lessons each week are redundant and my child didnt learn how to swim after 4 months. INSTEAD, my son was confident enough in the pool to jump in by himself because Aqua Tots gave him false confidence.This place is a complete waste of money. I recommend finding another option. Their cancelation policy is a 30 day written notice. My son hasnt attended Aqua Tots in 5 months and they are still charging me. Ive tried to cancel online but I literally have to go in today and sign a piece of paper so they wont charge my account. Even though my son hasnt set foot in their building in 5 months. Policies are policies. I believe this is a poor excuse for a business.Not only that, but the teachers themselves are kids. They have zero experience teaching other then working for Aqua Tots. This location specifically has a 16 year old kid, the owners son, teaching. This is a scam. I will never recommend my friends or family for their service. It is a complete rip off.IMO this company is taking advantage of people. It is not teaching kids to swim. My son after 4 months did not know how to stay above water on his own. Their plan would have taken over a year for him to learn basics. They stretch everything out to continue to make money off of the parents. 100%.

This swim school is the best! Small classes so more attention, warm water year round, convenient locations! We tried the city Rec center classes and they have no idea what they are doing so your on your own most of the time, and the pool is ice cold the beginning of june? my daughter hates these classes and screams most of the time when we have to do something always a fight and they pack those classes full! Here my daughter is actually learning and and never crys, LOVES her teachers, always wanting to practice at home and gets excited for swim here! We love being an Aqua Tots family! My daughter has been swimming there a year and a half, and she has progressed so much during that time. My son started just before Christmas and he was the crier in the class. If Im being really honest, he was the screamer. We continued the classes at the encouragement of his coach (Janelle) and the owner of Aquatots (Keri). They assured me that he would overcome his fear, and after a couple of classes he did! He now loves swim so much that I enrolled him in an additional class every week. It is hard to believe that he is the same kiddo who cried through every class because he now loves it so much! Im grateful to the great coaches and Keri for taking such great care of my kiddos. I wouldnt trust just anyone to teach my children this important life skill, and I absolutely trust aquatots!

The staff here is incredible, the lessons are incomparable. The individualized attention and care for each and every student is very unique and is just one of many reasons why we love Aqua Tots!

My name is Grandma...to my big three year old grandson- Sy! With that being said, I just had to give an outstanding review to Aqua Tots swim school in Ahwatukee! My grandson has no idea how to swim and thinks he can due to his swimming vest and floaties, for a false sense of security.Im really concerned about that because he visits me a lot, and we swim almost everyday. I never, ever want him to become a statistic, so I always swim with him. To additionally help him, I inquired and then signed him up for classes.He went to be evaluated today for free! I was grateful. Sy has head and noise phobias. He doesnt want to get haircuts and hear the buzz of the electric shaver by his head. He also hates and freaks out getting his hair wet. Knowing about these challenges I discussed his issueswith the incredibly understanding staff. They assured me that they plenty of experiences with calming scared kids. Those outstanding ladies are: Keri, Nicki, Natalie and coach & general manager-Audrey. Audrey was actually Sys coach and teacher!But what really impressed me was that although Sy panicked and screamed seeing my daughter and myself through the glass, I let go and trusted the group of professionals who knew what they were doing! They had my daughter (Sys Aunt Heather) and I sit in the locker area so he couldnt see us. Sy calmed down! He focused on his teacher! Although there is a viewing area for family, for this first time- it was a wise decision to trust them. Lastly, it was so nice of the staff who took pictures of Sy on my phone! They reassured me that Sy was fine, and I got to sneak a peek, Sy was holding up well. Long story short, I signed him up and paid for two months in advance. Its money very well spent! Hes coming back this Saturday and many weeks ahead! I really appreciate the important work they are doing! What am amazing experience!

My kid was super anxious and wouldnt get in the way of the water for 2 weeks. Everyone worked with him and was welcoming and nonjudgmental, and hes doing great now.

Weve had nothing but great experiences with Aquatots. My son has enjoyed all of his fun instructors. Aquatots is really good at being flexible with our busy schedules. Thank you!

Parents teach your own kids how to swim this place is ridiculous. they have teenagers teaching kids how to swim. theres four kids in a class they barely get any one on one time. my daughter was enrolled for a few months and didnt learn anything she is no closer to learning how to swim. There have been several in pool incidents which means kids are pooping in the pool so they are always closing down the pool and canceling your appointments its a complete waste of time and money.

Update:The owner called me after reading the review I left on Yelp and informed me that they would use this as a learning experience and provide more training for their staff so that this doesn’t happen again.I’ve never left a review before but feel the need to share my experience at Aquatots in Ahwatukee over the weekend. My two and a half year old son was taking a swim lesson for the first time and towards the end of class the instructor turned his back on my son to work with the one other student in his lesson. As the instructor turned away my son slipped off the ledge in the pool and went under water. I thought the instructor would turn around as soon as it happened but he didn’t. After a couple of seconds I started banging on the glass (that’s right they separate the pool from the parents with a glass wall) and the instructor still didn’t turn around. I kept banging on the glass until he finally heard me at which point he turned around and finally pulled my son out of the water. My son was in the water for around 20 seconds or so. I went to the pool to get my son who was hysterically crying and the instructor didn’t even acknowledge what happened. After I calmed my son down the parent of the other child in my son’s lesson waited for us to make sure my son was ok. He told me he saw the whole thing happen and that he was about to jump in the pool to get my son if the instructor hadn’t. Not one staff member asked how my son was or offered to check him out to make sure he didn’t swallow any water. Nor did we get a follow up call after we left (in tears by the way). I had to call them two days later to complain. Needless to say it was a horrific experience and I urge any parent thinking of bringing their child to Aquatots in Ahwatukee to reconsider.

Excellent customer service and great value for the money

My son has been attending weekly swim class with coach Lizzie since summer of 2016, focusing on water safety and the basic foundational swimming skills. Although my son in general loves class, at times he struggles with new skills and can be less than pleasant in lessons during those times. Our instructor is always pacient and helps us push through, while maintaining a fun and supportive learning environment for the entire group. Several weeks ago my son fell into our pool at home. Although he was fully supervised and pulled out immediately, we noticed that upon falling, he instinctively grabbed the side of the pool edge and hung on, just like he had learned in class. It was amazing to see him applying the skills he learned in Aquatots! Its worth the effort to know my child is learning skills that truly make a difference in his safety, as well as his work ethic! Thank you to Aquatots and the amazing coach Lizzie!

The coaches have been so patient with my son, and he’s learned so much in a short period of time. They have helped him to overcome so much of his anxiety & fear of the water.
