My kids had wonderful teachers but other members of faculty Im not too sure of. I dont find the RTC program effective, I actually think its more detrimental than anything. My daughter was sent to the office once and was not served her lunch like her class mates and faculty. When she came home her shirt was ripped to shreds and when I asked her what happened I was told she ate it because she was hungry. I dont like the school one bit. I transferred both my son and daughter to Sunburst and I have not received any phone calls or notes home. I find it unsettling to send kids home, or suspend them when they dont want to sit or listen right away. I was called home from work twice, when I started my new job and when I explained the importance of my attendance to Mr. Anderson he didnt want to hear that, and wanted me to pick my daughter up right away when she didnt want to listen. I dont know any kindergartners who listens on the first try. To add icing on the cake during a meeting with him and other members of faculty I made them all aware of how I was trying to make changes for the better for my family, but the school was not supportive at all during that. I wouldnt recommend this school to anyone. Im pretty sure he ate his lunch when my daughter was in his office starving!!!

The school office staff cared for my granddaughter, who is 5 years old, as it took some time for me to pick her up after school. I am very impressed with their extra special care for her.

I agree with the other posting. My sons teacher was nice, but the principal is something else. Expelling a kindergartner for two days because he didnt want to leave a room? Then not letting him be apart of his end of the year school program because he was playing around with friends? THEN suspending him and not letting him come to his last day of school? Ridiculous. He just deals with discipline by sending a child home for every little thing. Im grateful its the end of the school year because my son will never go to this school again with Mr. Anderson being the principal there. My son was never in trouble at any of his schools, let alone sent home for anything.

My son started in head start n kindergarten transfered 2 yrs ago n finally took him back so he would stop asking .. Teachers are great love them

This is very say. My child went to this school in 16-17. I had concerns about my childs behavior in school and wanted to speak with the principle. I called more than twice in a 3 week period it was not untill I sent an e mail saying that I will need the superintendents contact info that the principle DEB I think Mendez contacted me back within 5 mins. Beore she would speak to me she passed me to her front desk receptionist then I had to send in all my parential paperwork, and 2 more weeks later The principle gets to me after continuious calls. After our conversation she said 1.she was going to speak to someone about what I could do 2. She would follow up with a phone call to me the next day 3.she will talk with the teacher and have the teacher contact me and 4. She would pass me back to her receptionist to get my address and email so that I would recieve my childs grades and any school updates.Non of these things happened. NOT A SINGLE ONE. I gave her 1 week before calling back only to never hear from the PRINCIPLE DEB MENDEZ again. She ignored my email and calls and I was never even told my childs teachers name. THIS BEHAVIOR IS VERY CONCERNING TO ME AS A PARENT. A BIG CONCERN WAS THAT MY 6.YO DAUGHTER WAS TELLING ME THAT THE TEACHERS AID WAS YELLING AT HER WHEN NO ONE WAS AROUND AND I DIDNT EVEN GET TO EXPRESS MY CONCERNS AS A PARENT. And as a U.S Veteran I know as well as anyone reading this that this is unprofessional and just plain immoral. This principle isint doing her job that she is paid to do. In my line of work she would get replaced but i have no say in that matter. Needless to say my child has been withdrawn from a place that is run like a daycare that has thingd to hide.- ANTHONY. O

My kids was home sick with a stomach virus and i would call the school every morning to let them know that they was still sick and the school called the law on me when my kids was only out for 6 days then i went to the school ask them why they called the truancy office on me and they lied to my face and said they didnt do it and when I pulled the two letters out of my pocket and showed them at the very top of the page that it says that the truancy office was contacted by the school they refuse to explain themself and called the truancy office on me again all because I called them a liar I stayed there until they got there and Ill talk to them and tell them what happened and they told me that they was sorry because the school faild to tell Alexander why the kids was out for those 6 days and they shouldnt had called them all because they was home sick.. Sahuaro school dont care about the kids at all they only have crossing guards 1 to 2 blocks from the school then the kids are on their own never mind the fact that some of the kids got to cross a Main Street that people blow through the red light like its nothing i am a disabled parent im not able to walk those long 5 blocks to and from school and the Ladie asked me if my 6year-old and my 9year-old can walk to school by there self smh do does that they had one of my kids classroom so packed with kids that they was sitting back to back in the classroom there is no reason why a third grade classroom should have 48 students in it.

It is a public schoolFor having a student who was hyper and constantly needing one on one they didnt hep him at all. My daughter will not be attending in the fall
