My experience at Arthur Murray has been exceptional. They are true professionals from the very beginning. I had very little dance knowledge or ability and they made me very comfortable and at ease. The instructors are well educated in all types of dance. They made it a pleasant experience and made me feel like I could do it. They give you every opportunity to succeed and offer a variety of classes and parties to help you learn. I feel it is a great value for me and after going through some trying personal issues it gave me a great outlet to give me more confidence in the social world of dance.

Ive been coming to Arthur Murray in Phoenix on and off for about 8 months. The one on one instruction has been great from my instructor Tina. The instructors know just about every type of dance you could want to learn, even various international dance styles. Ive always felt welcomed there, and everyone has been very nice. Its not free, be prepared to spend a little bit of money, but if you approach it as an instructional class, its on par with any other type of specialty instruction. Combine that with the top notch instructors, and it makes for a great experience. They will work with whatever budget you have. Also, there are lots of dance events and group classes that should be taken advantage of. The central Phoenix location is easily accessible from the 51 freeway, and is only about 3 miles off of the 17.

I knew absolutely nothing about dancing before I came to this studio. They have been helpful, patient and helped push me to learn more than I ever thought I could have! I would highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for a dance studio in Phoenix.

I had a Groupon for 3 private lessons, 3 group lessons and 3 dance parties. It turns out, they actually end up giving you 4 nights of lessons and during your Groupon period, unlimited group lessons and dance parties on other days of the week! My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time learning the dances that we were most interested in during our private lessons, then took advantage of the group lessons, learning whatever was the dance of the night. The instructors are really great, Luis was just right for us and we had a great time learning from him. During the dance parties, all the instructors are there and will dance with you and your partner separately, teach you something new or different, or work with you on something specific. We had a wonderful time at AM! Unfortunately our travel schedule doesnt allow for us to be full-time students at this time, but some day we would love to!

This review is so overdo. Sarah helped my husband and I choreograph an epic wedding dance to two versions of a song (that we switched in the middle of the song), using two styles of dance — foxy and salsa.She was patient and is a beautiful dancer and great teacher.If you have no ballroom dancing experience (like I did) to get a truly great dance you should go to her months ahead of time. We worked with her for 8 months (private lessons once a week) and were thrilled with the result but even 3-4 months would probably yield a great result with one style of dance and song version. During this 8 month period we saw numerous couples come and go with lame, unimpressive, dances. These were couples who would come in and say, “our wedding is in three weeks, can you show us a wedding dance?” The instructors always did but the dances were awkward at best. If you want a good dance you have to invest the time and money.

Ive been a student and part of the Arthur Murray - Phoenix family for going on 6 mos. now. I honestly have to say that it has been one of the MOST positive experiences of my life. They are one of the RARE businesses today that has a heart. Everyone from the owner on down strive to get to know each/every student and also line up to dance with you at the weekly parties. They encourage their more advanced students to do the same too which gives beginners extra dance floor time. Its such a WONDERFULLY positive environment. The parties are such GREAT fun with dancers ranging from their twenties to nineties! Moreover, whether your goal is to be a competition level dancer or you just want to have the confidence to get out on a dance floor, they have a phenomenally talented group of instructors who will get you right where you need/want to be, tailoring a program specifically for YOU. I, personally have certain physical limitations that I THOUGHT, before coming there, would have prevented me from EVER dancing again. Thanks to their caring staff, that proved not to be true. They also have a variety of set packages to meet your financial needs, which I hear from someone who signed up at ANOTHER high profile named dance studio here In Phoenix, are FAR more AFFORDABLE than there. But thats not all. THIS Arthur Murray studio goes, in my opinion, above and beyond by tailoring a PAYMENT plan to suit you. My income is quite limited at this time but, once the owner saw what JOY dancing brought me, she worked out a payment plan EVEN I could afford which INCREDIBLY allows me to dance each and every week, attend weekly group lessons, as well as the weekly parties, AND private time with an instructor I absolutely adore. I also know that Im not the FIRST they have done this for, nor will I be the LAST. My suggestion is to come see for yourself at one of the FREE monthly guest parties. Usually participants receive a free lesson, at MINIMUM, for attending. Just call their office to find out when the next guest party is, give them my name, and come as my guest! Exceptionally beginner-friendly and a wonderful environment filled with delightful people. I learn something fun and new every time I come here and theres always another new step to master. It has been a fantastic growth experience and has taught me a lot about balance, coordination and rhythm.

Took dance lessons here with my wife after never trying dance before and realized how much I love it! Instructors were very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable. Cant wait to keep learning more styles!

Super friendly staff!

You can feel the funs been sucked right out of this studio, and its not just because of their low tier location and rotting, patchworked building. A majority of the staff is incompetent in their knowledge of the craft or personality and newbies revolve in and out of the place as if just being there sends them packing. The money-grubbing greediness just oozes out of the place due to obvious cheapskate tactics. Its an unpleasant experience all around.

Thanks to Cassidy for a great experience! We were beginners, but Cassidy made us feel comfortable and was able to teach in an easy and fun way. Loved it!-Rachel and David
