The playroom is the most amazing and fun place we have taken our 2-year old. It was bright with so many different things to do. There is a playground with slides, a jumping castle, a pit filled with blue balls and when you have had enough of this, you can venture off to the back where there is a train sets area (not just one set but too many to count!). Even parents would love the place!

Im not happy with the center director and the class teachers way of conducting a child who is first time attending any such programs specially since Covid 19 affected everyone.Children are slowly going outside and getting exposure to the outside world for the first time since they are born. They were at home for more than a year. Here at BH, teachers are not at all trained how to distract or calm a child if the child is unhappy or irritated keeping the above situations in mind. They are already feeling separation and stranger anxiety since covid 19 started as they were at home .Also teachers are very poor in updating the app which gives parent to see their child activity time to time..Most of the time, I have seen teachers are updating the breakfast update around evening and same thing for lunch . So basically I had to wait till evening to see my child updates throughout the day . All I can see is diaper updates in the morning time. There is no way that I can talk to the classroom teacher via this app after my child is checked in . If I have to ask the teacher during her stay in the day care, either I have to call the reception which is again a long wait or wait for the next day during drop off to talk to the teacher or set up a meeting . I cannot talk to the teacher everyday by either of these means right . This is where I feel a major disconnect between a child and a teacher .As a child is nowhere seeing that parent is talking to the teacher and thats where children will gain trust in their teachers as well . At Bright Horizon(BH), I leave my child at the reception attendees(not handing over to the classroom teacher nor talking to them every morning) and while picking up, Im waiting in the reception and some attendees bring back the children from the classroom. How do I talk to the teacher about my childs everyday progress and behavior like getting along with other kids, her cry level etc ?? I came to know about my childs progress and her anxiety levels which is quite obvious in the evaluation meetings that the center director has organized soon within 2 months of my child joining this day care. Child Pediatrician (the doctor) also confirmed that her anxiety levels are quite normal and most of the children at this age are suffering as they are all exposed outside for the first time and it is normal .Gradually in the school, it will go away and she also recommended few therapy sessions which as a parent, we have started .In the BH app too, it is mentioned only diaper change, her meals, her nap time and her play activities and that too I had to wait till evening .Sometimes teachers are not even updating the breakfast activities even the child was dropped before breakfast time and this was reported too in the app next day before my child checking in . On top of this, the center director has assessed my children within 2 months of child joining this day care. Out of which 3 weeks, the child was out due to sickness . Is it fair to put the child on evaluation paperwork within 2 months of child stay in the daycare and that too entire Bright Horizon staff knows that child is first time exposed outside since covid 19 affected everyones life. BH staff just dont want to give any time to the child and show any patience and effort . Teachers have been calling us almost everyday from the last 2 weeks prior to the child s last day at BH, saying she is too loud and bothering other kids after nap . There is no way that teachers are showing any interest and know basic child care training . There are many more incidents I can go on referencing to this but I will put a pause now with a very disheartening experience . I had decided to put my child here as the first school in her career as Bright Horizon Phoenix downtown is a brand but I will never recommend anyone here after what I had faced and this is why immediately I had taken out my child . Im not sure what other centers are doing but hope they are not like Phoenix downtown one.

Our 2 yo has been enrolled at Bright Horizons since she was 3 months old and our experience has been wonderful. Our daughter loves school and her teachers. The staff are very friendly and knows each child and has a great connection with them. We are moving out of town and are very sad about leaving this daycare. I cannot recommend this center enough!

We are coming up on a year at Bright Horizons. Our kids have been in 3 different rooms. Every teacher has been amazing! The entire staff treats us like we are family. The center is clean, everyone is professional and friendly. Its really great to see how serious they have been in response to Covid protocols as well. Communication is really important to us. The daily progress reports are very detailed and they send out email communication too. Our kids are learning so much, there is such a diverse learning curriculum. Our daughter has a food allergy to which they have been so understanding and make sure that there isnt any sort of cross contamination during meal times. That alone speaks volumes as I am a mom that worries!I cant say enough, we love this daycare and would recommend it (and have) to others!

The staff is friendly and amazing with our daughter. I love that they have a curriculum and learning milestones for each age group, even the infants. The staff really go above and beyond with the care for the kids; they are invested in their successes and foster a very welcoming and fun environment. I would recommend the downtown Phoenix location of Bright Horizons to anyone looking for a school for their young children.

My husband and I are both attorneys who work in downtown Phoenix with a 3 month old and a 2 year old and Bright Horizons is truly a blessing for us. It is incredibly safe, the front office staff are like family, and the teachers truly care about our kids. Most importantly, our kids are learning so much more than they would being at home with us. Finally - they might be the only place in town who maintains a real-time app so that you can log in and see how your kids are doing all day with eating/naps/diapers. We are so blessed that BH exists, we dont know what we would do without them.

We transferred from a customer on-site Bright Horizons during the pandemic, we’re already familiar with the drop-off/pick-up process and daily curriculums.Jenn, Marissa, Amanda, and Tomeka are warm and friendly, they immediately welcomed our family ensuring that we didn’t feel like outsiders. They’re always happy to see us and inquire about each of us when they notice a change in our patterns. We enjoy their banter and hearing their high level view of what happened in the classrooms that day. They’re easy to work with when we have questions about billing or classroom changes. We are very happy with the teachers. They answer our questions on impromptu phone calls, or through the My Bright Day app. We get notes and pictures of the day’s activities to talk about or reinforce at home. While we don’t have homework, we do partner with our kid’s teachers on learning and development. We can’t see the instructors everyday but we have been able to communicate and develop relationships with the teachers overcoming the gap in face time that we’d have in a non-pandemic situation. They’ve supported birthday celebrations, sign language advancement and provided reassurances to us about our kids. Our pre-schooler loves the dramatic area and yoga, coming home to show and challenge our flexibility and balance. Our toddler loves the playground and art activities. Daily notes connect the classroom units to movement, cause-and-effect and other vital development milestones for a growing body. The group at Bright Horizons Downtown Phoenix has already made it a tough decision for us to choose centers, once ours re-opens. We’re so happy they’re open and accepted us when our center had to close.

The class my child is in has such wonderful staff! Melanie is always so happy and informative about my childs day. He has a great time and enjoys all his friends. They do a great job with keeping up communication and respecting any requests that are made for a childs well being. You can tell they are truly in the right place and enjoy what they do. Thanks to them, leaving my 1st child in childcare has made it a smoother transition.

Staff is very friendly and facility is nice and clean. Area is well secured from any outside access which is important downtown. Miss Christina and Miss Ana (2 year old class) are absolutely wonderful and really do care about the kids in their care. New Tadpole system sends daily updates and photos and is a great addition. Thanks guys!

After previously posting a review that was not the best, this daycare has made great strides in fixing the issues within the daycare. The director was prompt in reaching out to understand concerns and quickly took action. At this point, I feel very comfortable with my niece attending this daycare and look forward to seeing the progress they make in making the environment safe for the children and their health. The fact that they took action says a lot about the commitment the staff have to the children at this center and to the parents. Good Job Bright Horizons Staff and Thank You!!!

This review is based solely on the customer service of Bright Horizons and not the actual childcare.Today I had a scheduled tour for 9:30AM. I called at 9:08AM to confirm, in which the girl that answered confirmed with me. I arrived at 9:30, and the receptionist told me they were not giving tours today. I called the number back that I had called earlier to confirm to see if maybe I scheduled for a different location by accident. As soon as I called, the phone behind the receptionist stared to ring, and she answered...The lack of communication between the staff is really disheartening. I am six months pregnant, working full time in the Arcadia area. To drive 40 minutes round trip to downtown Phoenix, only to find out your tour was cancelled and your valuable time was wasted is very unprofessional and is not very reassuring to me that this is a place I would want to bring my kids.
