I went to this school for a month and a half (September 2015- October 2015) . I believe that this school has an outstanding academic program. The teachers are amazing and just so involved with their students education. The only issue is the environment. Not many students want to take advantage of the great education so they really act out. I can recall the fire alarm being pulled by students at least 20 times the entire time I was there. As a result to that other students and I had missed out on some lessons. In addition to that theres a lot of drug use on the campus and a lot of class cuts I feel that administration needs to do a better job disciplining the students.As much as I loved my teachers and courses, I felt annoyed and unsafe being at this school.I would recommend this school for its academicsI would not recommend it for its environment if you are a serious student.

Im a freshman at G-DUB and I love it!!! Sure there are fights and other things... But honestly if u go to this school its preparing u for the real world and not putting u in a protective bubble telling u what u want to hear... The people here are real and different and thats what makes this school great! I know Im going to miss it in 2016

Excellent school despite the recent problems over the past couple years. It has a lot of cool teachers and students. But of course some of them are harder to get along with then others.i really miss it. I wish I could come back for a year😳

When I started going to this school (99) it was cool I dont think it was the greatest but it was a lot better than a lot of other public schools. I remember a few lockers being set on fire and the bottom of a stairway. I dont know how its like now.

If I could give this school a negative rating I would. The majority of people who work at this school are completely rude. They have sent the message over and over again that they do NOT care about the students that attend. We constantly received no information or delayed information. They are completely unorganized. Their website is outdated with bad links. Their is no doubt they deserve every bad rating they receive.

George Washington High School offers an incredible International Baccalaureate Programme and a very wide variety of Advanced Placement courses. Their endless list of extracurricular activities give everyone a place to fit in; their sports teams are all about understanding the role of teamwork in competition—and it shows in their reigning lead in championship. Teachers truly care about their students, and there is always someone on the staff to help you out with any problem. Leadership is an imperative aspect of G-Dub; the National Honor Society & Culinary Arts/DECA students work tirelessly to make the school an enjoyable, memorable experience. I wouldnt want to go anywhere else.

Washington is a great school but this school never done other stuff but me and many of my other friends and sure gonna miss this school and we already gone separate way since its time to meet new people at college and someday Ill hope there a high school reunion for all Washington graduated

I currently go here ( Class of 2018 ) and Im reading all the comments and most people are saying things like oh nobody goes to class, school for future criminals, they smell or go to central. First of all, thats so disrespectful. Youre no better than the people youre complaining about. Anyways, Washington has its ups and downs but its actually an alright school. Im in Honors classes and such and they are pretty good. Most of the teachers actually care, like Mr.Flynn for the ninth grades, but he isnt that good of a teacher in the sense of actually teaching his students.It actually pissed me off about some of these comments especially go to Central High School. According to somebody who actually went there for 9th and 10th grade, they said that Central wasnt even that good. They said the education was alright, but the students are just as bad or worst. Although Ill say that the classes at Central are pretty cool. Overall, Washington is a good school in an alright neighbourhood its just some people who go there arent that great.

School hmm how can I express my emotions towards the school, in a sense the school is dirty, the bathrooms are mostly locked, but understandable so cause boys tried to set the bathroom on fire, but with metal detectors how exactly did they get it into school in the first place, this school is all around dangerous, there mini fires, fights which almost lead to riots, there’s a group of hooligans who throw oranges at random people, horrible school wouldn’t recommend oh and teachers are aggy Ms . Rubi..... nvm 😒

George Washington High School is the best school in the world.I am so happy that I am part of such an amazing school.The teachers are just awesome.They help us with every step you need for education.G-dub have the best IB program and Ap classes.I love G-Dub.:)

The staff is against you. They try pinning other meaningless stuff on you for no reason. If youre not already in washington then DO NOT COME. Worst place ever.

If you want a decent education, go to Central instead. This school is filled with many who dislike study and hard work. The teachers are awful. If worst comes to case, join the IB progam. Otherwise, youll be stuck with the worst teachers. The IB teachers are really good and some AP teachers are decent. Everybody else is a failure. Mr. Belyavsky (AP/IB Physics), Mrs. Liberman (AP Biology), Mrs. Abraham (AP/IB Chemistry), Mr. Meile (AP U.S. History), Ms. Bowe (AP Chemistry), and Mr. Juhas (AP/IB Calculus) are the only good teachers.
