K012’s summer camp has been a lifesaver for us! After a year of virtual school, our 3 kiddos really needed to get out of the house and PLAY with other children! We needed a flexible schedule, easy routine, and safe environment - K012 has offered all of the above. Drop off, pick up, and payment are all super easy and the smiles on the kids’ faces at the end of the day are proof that they’re having an awesome time. I especially love that they’re off screens and getting lots of outside time exploring the community. We will definitely be checking out the K012 programs for after school, etc. Highly recommend!

Yes, I’m biased but the most helpful thing I can share is that everyone cares. I’ve seen kids ask their parents at pick up for five more minutes! I guess they let them because there’s 30 minutes free parking in the attached parking lot. But the main thing that makes this place work is the people who work there. Sharon is the one who started it all in 2007 when her own very active and curious kid kept getting kicked out of childcare “because he wasn’t a fit.” The Education Director also teaches Kindergarten. He has a Master’s in Early Education and has been there for 12 years. The lead preschool teacher is also a certified teacher with 11 years at KO12. Another teacher is an artist and has Saturday Art classes. Another, teaches the kids theatre, dance, and does private vocal lessons. There’s nothing a staff person at KO12 kids wouldn’t do to help a child. And that’s why this place is so special. It’s not just the amazing space, the humongous mat room, the large classrooms with great windows. It’s the amazing people that work there, their big hearts and their passion for being there. That’s what makes this place so great.

This place is wonderful. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. There is plenty of outdoor time and space for physical indoor play. They focus on helping the kids with their social and emotional skills. It’s really special.

Kids on 12th is like a big family. Their teachers and staff members are very welcoming and caring and are very patient with the kids. We also love that they have some very creative ways to teach kids, such as inviting various professionals (fire fighter, dentist, zoo keeper, etc.) to talk about their jobs, planting seeds, observing a caterpillar transform into a butterfly. We highly recommend this school!

Excellent preschool and kindergarten with caring teachers. Schedule flexibility is key. The owners are amazing and my kids look forward to going every day.

My child has attended Kids on 12th for after school, and he loves it. After so many months of not being able to socialize because of the pandemic, he looks forward to attending after school. Kids on 12th offers open-mindedness, diversity, creativity, structure, and space for children to be and breathe. We appreciate that such a devoted group of administrators and teachers are present for our children.

Kids on 12th is the best! My son went there for after school. I always knew he was in good hands. The teachers are so kind and engaged. The vacation camps and schedule flexibility are a game changer and a lifesaver for 2 working parents. Kids on 12th is such a wonderful community. I can’t say enough wonderful things about it!

My daughter was there two days only, but I don’t think they go for walks the way they described to me ( or at all) when I applied.Also there were no updates from the app about the child during the day, which is ok but I again not as it was advertised during a tour.

We found Kids on 12th at just the perfect time for our family. We were in the middle of our search for a pre-school for our oldest son and were feeling defeated at the cost, inflexibility and what felt like prescribed classroom of the local schools we had toured. Luckily a chance conversation at the playground led us to Kids on 12th. Immediately Sharons warm demeanor and story resonated with us. When we heard about their truly unmatched flexibility and payment schedule, we thought it was too good to be true. Truly NO OTHER pre-school in the city offers the daily flexibility that Kids on 12th does and lets you pay only for when you attend.On top of this, the staff is outstanding and is always looking out for whats best for each child. They are professional, creative, and absolutely capable. We felt very confident entrusting our child to their care.Our son loved his time at Kids on 12th so much that weve signed him up for their new Kindergarten program and our daughter for their preschool as well. Especially in these uncertain times of Covid, Kids on 12th has continued to keep the needs of parents top of mind and has offered up creative solution after solution to help us through these incredible difficult times. We are truly grateful for this unique place in the middle of bustling Center City.

A little over 4 years ago we moved from Europe to Philadelphia and had to find a pre-school for our then 4-year-old son. We signed him up for Kids on 12th and are so happy with this place! First of all, we love the owners, the teachers and the good vibes of Kids on 12th. Almost all of his pre-school teachers of 4 years ago, are still part of the team. Teachers have a great time together and create an excellent atmosphere. We also like their flexibility for the days that we can bring our son. It always works out if we need to make last moment changes to our son’s schedule. There are no contracts in this respect. Kids on 12th is most often open on days schools are closed because of snow, which is also very helpful! During the COVID-19 pandemic their companion camp allows us to go to work, while our son is helped with his online schooling. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a pre-school, camp or after school care in Philly.

Weve been sending our son to Kids on 12th in the summer for years. Weve always been very happy with them and the programming they provide. He gets to play with friends, exercise, swim, visit all the beautiful parks in the neighborhood in a safe, well-organized environment. Very happy.

New updated fitness room is bigger better and stronger. I love this place but some staff and security turnover has left some newbies in charge who are not as friendly.

Very affectionate staff, my daughter attended for just 1 week when I moved to the city and the last day hugs felt like she was parting after a long time.
