As a professional adult that has had many forms of training and certification, Captain Clint captures the essence of learning while following an interest. He is highly knowledgeable about the subject and just as knowledgeable about how to draw out your inner sailor.Captain Clints style allows for low stress, high absorption learning that brings out the best in any student.Recommend doing all of your reading to come prepared to learn the art. You will gain far more with good preparation and like any good teacher, Captain Clint helps merge book knowledge to real world application. I enjoyed it so much that my wife will be taking his classes.

Took Keel Boat 101. Wow what an experience! My background with a sailboat was basically, “ that looks nice”. I had never even been on one until this class. Captain Clint was a very friendly, professional person. I would recommend this class to anyone who aspires to sail one day. I would even recommend this class to people who are new to boating in general. They teach you safety and the rules of boating while out on the water.

My only experience with sailing, prior to taking ASA101, was in the form of YouTube videos. Captain Clint was a fantastic instructor and made the course material easy to learn. I wouldn’t take my ASA courses anywhere else.

What an amazing opportunity! Clint is the real deal: dedicated, professional and excellent and brilliant instructor who is consumed with every aspect of sailing AND ensuring that students learn in an enjoyable fashion. I recently took the intro course and had a blast! I’ve sailed since the 70’s (ahem) and wanted to enhance my skills. To my surprise, Lake Pleasant is a great place to learn basics; I had so much fun that I went on to his more advanced course in Long Beach, sailing a 45 foot craft under Clint’s detailed and fun guidance! I would without reservation recommend Go Sail AZ for basic, advanced and subsequent courses

I got my ASA101 certification with Captain Clint and it was amazing. My wife bought me sailing lessons since Ive always wanted to learn how to sail. Best weekend ever to be honest! Clint was really knowledgeable and patient. He let me try everything out until I really learned it. He was just a chill, easy going guy who really wanted you to learn sailing. I will be taking more classes with Clint in the future.

Go sail with Captain Clint, we highly recommend the experience! Our family of four went out for a sail this past weekend and we had the best time. Captain Clint is knowledgeable and he will teach you as much as you want to learn. His personality is what makes the trip so much fun. Book with Go Sail Arizona, we already want to go back again.

Let’s start off by agreeing that learning to sail sounds-1: super fun2: hardGo Sail Arizona, and Cpt Clint made learning super fun, and he did it in a way that made it understandable. In his first few minutes Saturday morning he warned us that he will talk ALOT. Yea- no lie, the man had a lot to say. What was awesome, was that everything he said worked together to teach you how to understand sailing. If you want to go to a class where it’s all book oriented and set for a test- this is not the place for you.If you want to understand the principles of sailing- to really understand it, Clint is the guy.I took the test and aced it. I know you probably are thinking “Brendan, your super educated and smarter than Spock” and maybe that’s true. But I think I aced the test because Clint taught me how to understand the principles of sailing.I have a few pieces of advice-1- hit the head (bathroom) before you launch.2- read the book, don’t memorize it3- leave your ego home. Remember, you don’t know how to sail. Accept correction, don’t justify or make excuses. Be like an 8 year old kid who is truly curious and willing to learn.4- make sure you have water and snacks.5- sunscreen and protection is good.6- hide some bananas in your bag. If you make a mistake offer it to Clint. It’s his favorite food. That’s my opinion, and if you’ve read this far, your probably Clint or a super curious person. If your Clint- thanks again man, that was the best experience I’ve had in years. If your a super curious person- just pull the trigger, what do you have to lose?

Had an amazing day and refresher lesson with Capt Clint. Learned so much more and was able to practice all the points of sail. Capt Clint is an excellent instructor, highly skilled sailor, laid back, and flexible with my skill level. Lake Pleasant is the ideal place to learn and a beautiful little oasis.

Go Sail Arizona was a fantastic school. I took the ASA Basic Keelboat 101 course, which was instructed by Captain Clint. He made learning to navigate a sailboat a fun and enjoyable activity, allowing plenty of space to learn. The class was split evenly with the schoolhouse and getting out on the water for practical application. I left the class feeling confident that I could be apart of a crew and understand all the necessary tasks. To give an example, I recently joined a crew of recent graduates/alumni from this school to go sailing, and we were able to sail with no problems. If you live in Arizona and have thoughts of sailing, I implore you to take a course from Go Sail Arizona.

The worst education we ever purchased. Felt as if Go Sail Arizona was only interested in processing our payment and making sure we passed the test. We didn’t get the impression it was about making sure we got educated and learned the basics of operating and sailing a small boat. There was no explanation of the expectations of what we were going to do or learn over the course of two days. Was there a written test? practical test? topics that we were going to cover? Was there a course study guide? We later found out that there was supposed to be course study guide emailed out, which no one in the class received. We showed up with no information and received no information. The instructor was a “sailor” that was a certified instructor based on his years of sailing experience. YET, he just bounced all over place in what seemed to be no logical order for someone to learn and understand. Don’t’ get me wrong, he was a nice guy but there was no structure in how he went through the materials. After two hours sitting at a white board we proceeded to the water, where the instructor just barked out orders. Obviously, we had no idea what we were expected to do as he then just yelled louder. We just wanted to get out of the boat, and back on the dock. It was not a fun and enjoyable day! Obviously it may have been different if we had actually received the Study Materials and Expectations before just showing up and being expected to already know what was in the materials that no one received prior to class day.It was just all overwhelming to the point that we didn’t even bother to show up for the second day of class. We purchased another education package with another organization and instructor.Waste of time and money, or both us being college educated are just stupid. I HIGHLY “DON’T” RECOMMEND Go Sailing Arizona for learning how to sail and to get certified.

Go Sail AZ is amazing. Captain Clint was a fantastic instructor, he made everything approachable and extremely enjoyable. The hours on the boat flew by. He was also incredibly patient and helped walk us through everything that we needed to know. I can not wait to take the 103-104 class with him in CA. If youre thinking of getting into sailing, just do it. Its worth every penny.

Oh ye mates! Before you say ahhoy. Make sure you properly equip your vessel with cannons! The leviathan has been seen lurking about these waters. He got hit in the face with a cannon last March and was very angry about it. He brought all of his leviathan friends with him and they are really a bunch of mean critters. Beware sailors.

This was an incredible weekend. Captain X was most excellent. If youd like to learn how to sail, the ASA 101 is worth every penny. You can read until your eyes bleed, watch a hundred videos, and memorize a dozen points of sail diagrams, but until youre out on the water, tiller in-hand, eye on the fly, and feeling the boat power up on a close hauled tack—it might as well be stereo instructions.I showed up not even knowing how to step foot onto the boat—and drove home Sunday afternoon having sailed laps around an island, completed crew overboard exercises, and wondering what future weekend plans Im going to be cancelling in the next couple months to get back out on the water.Money well spent. Thanks Capn.

One of THE Best experiences and journeys of my life! Whether you learn to sail with Captain Clint Sutter (as I did) or just go out for a day sail, I guarantee you will leave with an incredible experience and a new friend. I had sailed before, and wanted to get certified - I checked out a place or two, but as soon as I met Captain Clint I knew 100% this was my guy! With a ton of expereince, he GENUINELY cares. He takes the time to answer all of your questions, he is always willing to share all of the knowledge he has - and lots of tips and tricks. He is really just a great all around guy. Captain Clint is lots of fun and very professional. I really enjoyed how he always focuses on safety. Captain Clint really showed me a whole other side of life and recreation that I loved. He taught me and everyone else in my class how sailing can enrich your lives. I completed several certifications with Go Sail AZ and Captain Clint. Not only that! But when I go to sail somewhere else, be it in San Diego, Florida or anywhere else - Captain Clint is ALWAYS available to answer questions of speak to anyone.I dont say this lightly, but one course at Go Sail AZ truly changed my life and opened me up to a whole new sport! I am very happy I went to Go Sail AZ and I cannot wait to introduce my son (when hes old enough) to Captain Clint too! I hope to sail the three of us sometime. If you have EVER wanted to sail, or if you are just curious and want to try it - you ABSOLUTELY MUST go to Go Sail AZ! I promise you will not regret it.Thank you for Everything Go Sail AZ!!!
