I had my haircut done today. I was impressed with the professionalism of the school. They got me back on time. The instructor had good communication and made sure the student had a good grasp on what they were doing and kept checking on them during my service. Just everyone there were super polite and nice. Definitely will come back to get my haircut done again

Found myself in need of a haircut and decided to give Stacey James a shot. Id had good luck in the past with school settings. This place looks great, very high-end. The receptionist was super nice and the hair cut was great. All in all, didnt really feel like a school. But you could tell the attentive educators were really invested in the students success.

They have wonderful teachers that are great at interacting with the students and making sure the services are done correctly. I love how my hair came out and they also have great prices. Will definitely be back!

If you’re looking to start cosmetology school, run away from this place. Don’t walk. This school is a complete joke, and their finances are run by someone with only a cosmetology license. Zero financial background, and zero common sense when it comes to money. Be prepared to get totally screwed out of your money, for next to no education in return. Any other cosmetology school in the entire state of Colorado will be better for you than this place.

They always do a wonderful job on my hair color, I love how the instructors are so attentive in making sure your hair gets done correctly! It is a very professional atmosphere with great customer service!

This school is a joke. For one only prioritize the cosmology side and completely neglect the estheticans but you pay over 10 grand for them to have you in class for 16 weeks and then rush you out of your classes. You have extra hours you need, well you dont have a teacher so go find somewhere to sit in the building out of the way. Not to mention when you are in a class, the teacher doesnt even watch you before certifying you. None of the administration is qualified. The financial advisor only has a degree in cosmology and 100% is messing with tax documents and refusing to send appeals when it doesnt make sense.she will force you into signing documents without explaining them and then hound you for money as soon as you do sign. Honestly dont waste your time. Theyre going to close their doors soon since they cant even keep instructors for more than 6 months

I used to go to New Dimensions Beauty Academy before they closed. It was a great experience. They didnt put students on floor till ready. Instructors always checked work to make sure it was great. Have gone to Stacey James twice. First time got a pedicure. Student had no supervision. Student was very nice but didnt have proper tools. Watched another student giving pedicure too. They both were like beginners at doing them. So no more pedicures. Then took my granddaughter yesterday to get haircut. Student very nice. Instructor checked what we needed done. Student took an hour to cut her hair which is fine. Instructor checked hair, told her to trim a little bit which student did. Haircut is worst haircut. I dont blame the student. It was the lack of professionalism by the instructor. She didnt seem to care what it looked like. The hair was an inch longer on one side than other. Students all hanging out like in high school. Also, watched work of other students and they all seem unprepared for doing hair. Will NEVER go there again. So glad I didnt get my highlights and haircut there.

Rachel always does my cut and fade like a pro, color is on point and these students are amazing set up for the cosmetology world. Professionals in the making and everyones so kind. Ill always come to these students for cut and color, you guys are great!

Incredible service at an amazing price

I have nothing but positive things to say!!! They are clean, professional, and have an amazing work environment!!! I love their programs and the way they teach. They give their students all of the hands on experience they could possibly need so that they are career ready the moment they graduate!!! They also make sure students are well prepared for their licenses and help with job placement!! Staff members are welcoming and very professional!! They have very knowledgeable instructors and the owners are amazing and passionate about their business!! They care if their students succeed, and also make sure you know exactly what they are signing up for!! There is no drama, or petty behavior and students and staff get along great!Management is wonderful!! They believe in mentoring and shaping their employees, not micromanaging!! They allow students and staff to receive discounted services so that the students have plenty of hands on experience which a lot of places don’t seem to do. I’m very happy here and feel as though I found the career of my dreams with Stacey James Institute!!!

I absolutely love going to school because of SJI.Kenny makes my morning every single day with his positive attitude and absolutely radiant personality. Sarah is a doll. I transferred to SJI from another school where i almost lost my passion because of how poorly I was treated. I was ready to give up on my passion before finding this gem and now I feel as if the sky is the limit. Charly and David are the most knowledgeable instructors and I am truly so thankful for them. I love everyone here and we really do work as a family. I have grown in confidence tremendously since starting here we have a new class to learn a new skill almost every Tuesday and I feel so set up for success I’m in aweThank you SJI for helping me rediscover my love for beauty and making me feel like my dreams DO matter. Great hair cut with Jess

I’ve been coming to this beauty school for about 5 years never had any issues before. Today I went to get my haircut and highlights done for the first time in a year I was there for 4 hours pretty normal for my hair, while I was still at the sink with chemicals in my hair to fix my highlights I was asked to come upFront to pay as it was almost closing time, so I went to pay still gowned and product in I was informed that I had said somethings that made a couple of stylist uncomfortable well I felt horrible as I didn’t realize I had done that in the 4 hours I was there, no one said a word to me I was then told I would not be allowed to come back. I asked several times what I said so I could be aware and apologize, and Was refused to be told what I did wrong in a very rude way several times told they could not tell me on the floor, I asked to be taken to a private room and was still refused at the same time I’m being asked for payment with chemicals still in my hair, no haircut yet which is why I scheduled the appointment to start with, and being told I can’t Come back, had me leave right then didn’t even rinse my hair out. I feel as though if I said or did something making someone uncomfortable it should have been addressed then and in a professional way and not be charging me for unfinished services not competed to my satisfaction. The new teachers and students are not what I expected from this school who Has always had a high respect from me, a place I’ve had haircuts, facials, Brazilian blowouts, and many other services. I’ve always recommended my friends and family go there but I feel as though the level of professionalism and communication is lacking horribly. I came in looking for a relaxing day a break from Covid as I work in the medical field and left in tears feeling like I’m a absolutely horrible person and hoping my hair doesn’t fall out from having that chemical in my very naturally curly hair for way to long

I brought my daughter here for her 15th birthday for a Facial, a manicure and a pedicure. First off it was very clean and they were very professional. They made my daughter feel like a Queen and even brought her out of her shell a bit talking with her.❤️ They made the entire experience comfortable and calming with lots of girl talk. Overall best experience in a salon in a long time.100% recommend.

This was the worst experience I ever had they lie about classes you will take & you basically teach yourself they’re all about money and they constantly lie to you about getting classes to get you to stay so if you wanna learn tape in extensions and that’s it this the place for you !

Stacey is above and beyond. She styled my hair for Miss CO, shown in my profile picture and put in extensions (I shaved my head for charity a year ago and wanted to compete with long hair). But she’s more than that to me. I’ve been going through a pretty tough thing. Worst migraine of my life, lasting 226 days thus far. With that comes a lot of depression and despair. I i reach out to tell her that the only reason I got up and showered and washed my hair was to care for my beautiful extensions. I’ve had long hair most of my life, and what she did for me was allow me to see me as myself again. Feel pretty and give me a reason to take care of myself. What she does is important, even beyond making people feel good about themselves, which of course has incredible value. She has incredible value to me and I wanted to say I’m thankful for her every time my hair gives me a reason to smile. It’s no small thing, especially right now. Thank you so much, Stacey James.

They dont have the skills to be charging what they do, honestly.

Since graduating from the institute the transition from being a student to a licensed cosmetologist has been a breeze. I go into every appointment prepared and ready for whats to come. How they manage the school as if its an actual salon so prepared me for what was coming. The staff and instructors always had my back going into boards as well as future job placement. I came to school from another state and I made life long friends not only with students but with the staff as well. So thankful

I WILL SAY THAT JUST BECAUSE OF STACEY JAMES INSTITUTE I LOVE GOING TO SCHOOL!! 🤍 Even during the summerSince a long time ago, I always wanted to go to cosmetology school, but I couldn’t find any school that I feel comfortable with, where I can learn everything, have good quality kits and products, and go to learn in a nice environment!Then one day, I met someone who told me about Stacey James institute.Then when I went to check out the school, I loved the environment! And the fact that their kits are SO GOOD! And hey! They also have extra classes like eyelash extensions, hair extensions and cosmetology boards prep!! Like what??😱 that’s so amazing!! I can guarantee that other schools don’t offer that and it’s all I was loooking for!! So I didn’t think that twice and I signed up!Then my first day of school was during this covid-19 and we started Online! Everything was really professional, and we start using pivot point online and it was amazing! Really easy to use and I learned a lot. Then we transition to in person for a couple hrs due covid. My first day of school was amazing! Our teacher Shelly, made us all felt so welcome, and I can say that all my classmates right now are my friends! And makes the environment so good! Like you feel happy going to classes!When you arrived to school, and you feel like tired 😴 because you arrive at 8 am, Kenny makes our mornings so much better making us laugh when we check in, and he always remember us to clock in!!Then with that smile in our faces! We arrive to our classroom, and it’s so nice to see everyone, say hi to Shelly, our amazing teacher, our classmates and start our class!Shelly makes our discovery classes (discovery cosmetology phase) so AMAZING! she teach us in a way that you can totally understand SO GOOD like everything makes so much sense for me! Color, toners, cuts, degrees, etc! And I’m so grateful for that because when you go to the next phase (the floor) and start having clients at the school, I will die if I still feel confused!!Right now, I’m about to going to the floor! And I feel so prepared!! Right now, I can formulate colors, know exactly what to do in any situations, and I feel confident!And that’s the feeling I wanted and I need right now! being able to have a client in your chair, have a consultation and know exactly what is best for her, her wants and needs, it’s the best feeling! every time I had a model during this phase (discovery) I had that feeling, and they felt that too and liked my work so much!Honestly, I can’t wait until I learn more and more! this is just the beginning of my journey! And I’m so glad I took the decision to come to Stacey James Institute :)!So to highlight, the school:- it’s very professional- friendly and nice environment- products have such a good quality- kits are huge!! I wanted a professional hair experts opinion. Going to Stacey James institute was a waste of time.I will go there when I want someone to speak down to me. When I want to be treated like an idiot who isnt good enough to walk through their doors.NEVER will I feel that way.

The students are AMAZING i love them all and they spend an incredible amount of time mastering their practice, however the administration is an absolute train wreck. If you’re looking to get your hair done or have services done i highly recommended this place but if you’re looking to enroll or start your cosmetology license here i would highly recommend you absolutely do not and find another place to go. they treat their students very harsh and have no respect for them, ESPECIALLY stacey james. she has no compassion for her students and is incredibly cold to them all, without exception.

They workers were very nice and they interacted with you. They give you suggestions and make sure your okay with what they plan on doing. They say that if you dont like it then you can come back and they will touch it up.

I shouldnt even give them a 1. Drove over there from Larkspur & was told they had to cancel my appointment because the stylist was testing the next day. No advance call, no other stylist available.

This place is AWFUL. I would get them negative starts if I could. I had Reagan Put in my hair extensions last week and not even a week later they are already falling apart. The first issue was that they told me I would only need one pack of hair. I went in for my appt and as they were half done with my hair and it looked terrible they told me I would need to order more hair. At this point I had paid 760$ on hair and 50$ On an install fee. They claimed they were going to fix them today then called me 30 minutes Before my appointment and said they have no one to fix them. I leave for vacation this week and they completely left me screwed and my hair looks terrible and is falling apart. They told me my only option was to take them out after I had paid almost 800$ on hair. No way was I going to do that. They also would not offer any refund. I am going to have them fixed for another 300$. This place is a joke with terrible costumer service.
