I just moved to PD and its my first year here(Im a senior). PDHS is the best. The teachers are so nice, and they are mostly available when we need help. Administration and staff are so nice. Students are so friendly. The school have almost all of the academic courses. Best sport teams. Thats awesome! I love this school!

I was the first class when pdhs opened in the mid 80s it was top notch. Although I moved before I could graduate from there, it was a great experience and Im sure has evolved into a great learning facility.

Ms. Marshall in the English department is known for bragging about the number of seniors she fails at the end of every year. After writing my final essay and taking it to another English teacher to get a second opinion, who said it was a solid A essay, Marshall gave me a C- and refused to even discuss why my paper received such a low grade.Mrs. Kalkoske was crazy. Making all sorts of weird noises during class and being rude to students when one would ask a simple question. She would also leave us locked outside the classroom for 5-10 minutes in the beginning of class every day at the hottest part of the day while shed go off to the faculty area. And I dont think we were the only class shed do it to. Many days shed come out of the classroom while Im walking up to go inside and shed lock the door and walk off, leaving 20-30 students out in the sun.I remember all of the security guards and disciplinary principal and the assistant principal bring friends and always standing around chit-chatting to the jocks and stoners and harassing kids for sitting by classrooms instead of in the crowded, noisy lunch area during lunch.All in all, teachers and staff were negligible at least, abusive at the worst.

Graduated in 2012. The teachers I had were great for the most part. I did feel the curriculum could be improved especially in English and US History (Junior Year Social Science). If youre big on extracurricular activities there are so many to choose from, so you should find one youre interested in. To be honest, I was never a fan of the new Principal, Mr. Hicks. I was felt he didnt care for the students as much as Mr. Walsh did. The restrooms definitely needed to be cleaned more often, but other than that I loved school.To all future Aztecs:Youll love this school. There arent many negative things I can say about PDHS. Make sure you listen to the teachers and your Link Leaders. They truly know what theyre talking about. DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Its worth a significant portion of your grade in all your classes. (I learned this Freshman year). Get invloved. You at high school its not only a other school, its an expierence. Join clubs, run for ASB, Tryout for Sports, or join Link Crew (Juniors/Seniors Only) or Aztec Impact. You want this to be a great experience. Finally, if youre lucky enough to get Mrs. Juli Corral (English), Mrs. Mara Lee (History), Dr. Ossil Macavinta (Accounting/Web Design), Mr. Ronald Paiz (Science), or Mr. Keuillian (Math). Youll have a great time! Theyre in my option some of the best teachers I had the pleasure of working with during my time here. Good luck future Aztecs from the Class of 2012!
