Its a very nice middle school & the facilities are great.

This school is amazing! I love the teachers here and I made a lot of friends. I really like the freedom and a huge variety of electives to choose from. This school has a positive and comfortable environment. The only problem is the dress code. I think they should loosen it up a little and not give dress code for tiny little things.

10 rated school? Sure doesnt feel like it...I recently had my 11 year old son enrolled in Jackson Heights Middle School in the beginning of the year. When we enrolled I immediately was in shock of the location of the school. It isnt the nicest area for a 10 rated school, dont have me wrong if the school was nicer the location wouldnt be a problem. This wasnt the case at all, he came home extremely late almost at 5:15 at night, when school gets out at 3:55 all because of a fight on the bus. First of all Jackson Heights, you need to have a better way of keeping your students safe and secure. Surely there will be bad apples everywhere but when he started to get bullied in the first week I was in fact not going to let this happen anymore. Students were calling my son disgusting, stupid, and gay. His first week... He has some really tough skin because he told the bullies off. I was proud of him but once grown adults started talking down to my son I couldnt believe that this was happening IN A 10 RATED SCHOOL? Not naming names but teachers were threatening to throw chairs at the kids, screaming at the children, giving out lunch detentions for sneezing. Also the class level of the students is disgusting. No, bulling doesnt make you a better person, & Im positive thats what these parents are telling their kids. & just the nerve these students have and the staff is disgusting! I recently decided that after 3 weeks of school this isnt the future I want for my child. We have decided to put him into a much safer and nurturing environment where he isnt put down. Jackson Heights Middle School is distrusting and Gross. What a hell of a school...

Its an okay school. Some teachers are pretty horrible, granted, but most are great and nice and teach you about life instead of just school. It does need more election options, however. And the principle needs to work on her priorities, but other than that its pretty okay.

This school is so good i just love the dean.the school has super good food that totally is not microwaved, it is made from scratch, at least that is what they told me. also the teachers are super nice .

This was a great school when I went there and Mr. Baily was great. I had many great teachers like Mrs. Roy and Mrs. Roman. The new principal sucks and everyone hates her. I heard the school is going downhill. PS high fiveing is not allowed at this school (as it is more than obviously a public display of affection, duh!). Good luck

People poke the soap bags, and the soap drains to the floor, and it makes the floor moist and slippery. They also juul in the bathroom. One of the eight graders looks like an anime character, and is a tea leaf. I once got a strawberry, and the inside was moldy. The food is the equivalent to satans crusty, dusty, musty butthole. The kids on my bus are weenus. There was also a fight on my bus with the korean kid, and they slapped each other. The eight graders call girls thicc. I hate like teachers eat fried chiken and then continue to tell us not to eat in class. Two girls giggled about how loud there pee streams were in the toilets. There was a teacher that wants us to be unique and when she calls my name, and i say hello she gets very saltily triggered. Some kid made a noose out of his phone charger, and someone stole it, then yelled at the bus driver not to let anyone off the bus, because he needed it, then the kid ran off the bus and stole it. Most of the MALE kids make FEMALE MOANING sounds. One of my guy friends said that there was pee all over the floor.

Lots of freedom, like sitting outside, and the school store. But, the dress code need to be loosened up because i get dresscoded for the stupidest things! Like, we are in middle school, loosen it up, and actually dresscode people when its actually a problem! Like OMG I HAVE SHOULDERS!

Heyo, if you enjoy card board pizza, moldy cheese burgers, and biased teachers, then this is your school.This school has been awful (coming from an eith grade student). After spending over three years of my life here, I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy.During testing (Eoc, Fsa, 9 weeks exams, etc) the teachers could not be more naive about what the students are going through. During this time, teachers find it natural to give students twice as much work as usual and build up their stress (as if they need it during testing. Students are practically brain dead by this time because of all the stress and work build up).Also, if a biased dean is cool in your book, then this is a wonderful school for your tastes. Here, if its your first lunch detention, and despite your pleas of innocence, the dean will still treat you as if your a homicidal murderer- BUT, if you have gotten a referral or suspension, then hell talk to you like youre his best friend (and yes, this actually happens).Also, if low reputation teachers and educators are a go to for you, then youre in luck because 1/5 of what the students talk about are how teachers mistreat or sometimes even mentally harass them (Teachers will not be named, but situations will).For instance, near the end of the year, a student accidentally glued a piece of paper on the wrong page in their note book, and the teacher humiliated and degraded them along with their table for the rest of class. They were treated like two year olds.If you find that healthy for your child then go right on ahead.Not to mention that just in general, Jackson heights isnt known for their school pride and respect.Jackson height is formally known as Jackson Fights to others schools and is known for selling drugs in the bathrooms and notorious students who have had to be expelled (as well as fights if that wasnt implied in the nick name).Now, I know that school food isnt supposed to be the greatest treat for a kid, but when you look down at a cheese burger and see speckles of mold on the cheese, its neasously disgusting.When you feel something hard in the sausage or find that a waffle can last up to six days outside without acquiring mold or bacteria, it begins to raise concern amongst the students.Something to also bring up, even though its not seen to have straight forward bullying (such as shoving, kicking, brutal words, etc.) there is unfortunately a large diversity of inderect bullying that Jackson heights just continues to find new ways of doing.The entire school is literally split with Bestity. Its us verses them in this school, and if you dont do whats cool or trendy then you are them.Next, something that desperately needs to be brought up is sanitation.School bathrooms tend to be a nasty and fowl smelling place, but the unhygienic build up of bacteria is disgusting. Its clear that just about the only thing they clean in the bathrooms are the toilets.If you ask how I would know, then Ill just tell you that when someone presses the knob on the soap dispenser and soap falls onto the floor, it stays there for the rest of the year.Or (as disgusting as this may seam) if urine or blood get onto the floor or perhaps wall, its also there for the rest of the year.Crayola marker lines the walls and words have been dug into the non-durable doors.Girls are too unnerved to use the girls bathrooms by the cafeteria because it seems to act like more of a hang out area or a place for students to skip class at.Lets talk about dress code for a second.If you dont have perfect skin, a tiny waist and wide hips, then you wont get away with wearing inappropriate clothing that most girls already get away with.Dresses that nearly go up to a girls panties are seen all around the school. You would think that this type of clothing isnt accepted, but as long as youre attractive then its fine to administrators.To end this off, I would like to say that this school is notin the least bit a recommendation to others.

You get lunch detentions here for anything. I got a detention for telling some kid to shut up. Most of the teachers here are bad.

The school is great but 1 staff member Ms.Pitters, one time i was walking around at lunch and i walked buy a bunch of girls and they started screaming so i stop and try to know why they were screaming and then i speed walked away and while i was walking Ms.Pitters stopped me and yelled at me saying why i was screaming and running... i wasnt.

Most of the staff are really stupid the only nice people n the staff are ms.keene and mrs.frye the rest dont know how to be nice to people and cant teach as a student going here i would advise going to a different school

Jackson Heights (errr.. umm. Jackson Fights Middle School) If I could rate this school zero stars, it would have been done. I have no idea what the construction workers spilled in the water at school. (Must of been purple koolaid) As you will read below, Mrs. Mansur made an announcement that anyone who HEARS about a fight will be suspended! There are currently 4 kids (that I know of) in I.S.S (In School Suspension)I really wish that she would punish the kids who dont do what their supposed to do and reward the good kids. Its mostly 8th graders causing all the problems. Don;t even get me started on PDA. If someone is YOUR OWN FLESH AND BLOOD, and you hug them... You will get a PDA!! Which is a Lunch Detention, Work Detail, I.S.S, AM detention or a Wednesday School. Don;t send twins to this school! If they high five, THATS A PDA. No one listens to the students at this school, no one pays attention to us. AND THE LUNCH FOOD IS TOXIC WASTE..... IT TASTES LIKE PLUTONIUM! There are flamboyant teachers, and teachers who don;t care about the students. Ive heard some stories about the band. About Mr. Williamson threatening to throw chairs at students, Ive also heard that missing a rehearsal, he makes you right a full page note to the principal of why you missed what you missed. I often wonder why the school has the AUDACITY, to put of 2 new buildings and say the school is new and its a privilege to attend. In my opinion the school is the same beat up ratchet school it was last year and in years passed. Thats right, I went there whoever is reading this. This school is in the middle of the ghetto, hood, where crime is high. In fact, Building 2, is in the GHETTO. Literally walking behind Bldg. 2 is like taking a stroll through the hood (a.k.a Johnson Hill or J-Hill) This school should be ashamed of its RUDE teachers or secretaries who CHEW out Mothers who come in to pick up their children. (Thats right, Im talking to you Mrs. Hynes) They think that just because they sit around all day picking up the phone and saying Please wait while I transfer your call that everything is all hunky doory. The problems between parents and the secretary ( who shall not be named) should NOT go UN-NOTICED by Administration, (And Secretaries are not considered Administration)Hope you enjoyed reading this people.
