My little one has been part of the UCP family for 6 years now, he has been in the Downtown Campus for 2 years and I can’t say enough good things about UCP. I love UCP and what they stand for. If you are looking for a school where your child can thrive, give UCP a try. You will thank me later!!!

I graduated from Beta 16 years ago. It was an amazing program then and Im so happy that it is still up and running, helping teen moms finish high school. The girls are able to bring their kids to school with them. They drop them off in the nursery and go to school in the building right next door. They pick them up to have lunch with them and then go back to class. Many would miss out on graduating from high school if it werent for such an amazing program.

For parents that are considering outpatient rehabilitation, a warning of disappointment. My child has been attending UCP Beta Campus since 11/2017 and although, I am forever grateful for the help that my son has received from his wonderful therapists Ms. Cristina, Ms Samantha and the therapist manager Ms. Amanda. The disappointment is the lack of accommodation for the patients siblings and families while waiting for the therapy to be over and the unrealistic expectation from the school staff to have the child under control. The location does not offer any activities for the siblings to be entertain while waiting one hour for therapies to be conducted. My sibling 6yo twin child that is a very active has been admonished in front of other parents by school administrators Assistant Principal, teacher covering the front desk and front staff. I will not recommend bringing your child to this location as outpatient therapy as they do not provide any activities that are friendly to the siblings. To expect a sibling elementary school age child to behave like an adult or be forced to give them a cell phone or notepad is a form of restraint, which is harmful to the childs growth and development as it is non stimulating. Today the front desk staff suggested that I take my sibling child outside to play or put her in a rocking chair. The recorded temperature per Orlando Weather today 3/12/2020 was 85 degrees at 5pm and the entrance has no ceiling fans to circulate the air. I first expressed my concern in writing a couple of months ago about the unfriendliness and unaccommodating front reception area towards school age children. Outpatient therapy is a form of additional income to UCP and this Beta Campus has shown to have no regards to the siblings and parents that bring the children for therapy. I appreciate wholeheartedly what UCP stands for and its mission. : Life without limits for children with disabilities Our Mission Statement: The mission of UCP-OC is to help children with disabilities reach their full potential and improve the quality of life for their families. It is incongruent that there is a disparate treatment for the student/patient that attends the school versus the non student/children that attend as outpatient and their families.

I Just left from the office 2 minutes ago. The worst front desk service Ive ever experienced. I am pregnant and I walked in to ask what help can they provide me and they stared at me so silently and did not assist me or made me feel welcome . Beta did not help me. I left without any helpful info.
