I feel so lucky to have Kyle as the guitar/ukulele teacher for my 8 and 5 year old boys! He is obviously a tremendous professional as a guitar player and he uses his skill and knowledge as a teacher to my boys. He is such a good teacher, I drive quite a bit out of my way so that my boys can have the best teacher possible! Kyle is very caring and patient with my boys, but also knows when to push them so that they can reach their potential. These guitar lessons have brought me closer with my boys as we practice nearly every day together in preparation for the next week’s lesson. I am thankful for Kyle’s approach to learning music with fun songs that my boys love to play, and it’s another fun topic to talk about with my boys throughout the week. I highly recommend Kyle as your guitar teacher, or for your kids, without hesitation!

I started with Kyle knowing only basic chords and left just a few months later with much more confidence in my ability to learn and play songs. I like Kyles approach of letting the student pick songs they want to learn and using them to teach technique and theory. Lessons with Kyle were engaging and purposeful. I came into my first lesson knowing almost nothing And after a couple weeks, I was playing songs from start to finish. Kyle is awesome! Our daughter has been taking bass lessons from him for several months. He caters to her style and musical interests and keeps the lessons upbeat. He sets realistic goals and is very encouraging.After each lesson Kyle writes up a practice guide for the week. We are able to participate in our daughters practice between each lesson. It is so cool to have music bringing us all together.We plan to continue the lessons throughout high school. My daughter took Ukulele lessons from Kyle when she was 5 for about 9 months, then switching to guitar (also from Kyle). She is now 11 1/2 and still likes to play Ukulele for fun, and is still learning guitar from Kyle. She is lead guitar in a band at Daves Rock Lab, and has really progressed in her playing to where she solos and all sorts of things I only dreamt of when I was 11. Definitely recommended.

I stuck with him until the day I moved out of my parents house at 18. He understands the theory behind music and helped me see how the theory applied translates to skill. His teaching ability kept me focused and motivated, and his assertive yet calm attitude is perfect for motivating anyone who is stuck at a plateau.Kyle is someone I still consider a friend today, and I am happy to say I have continued to practice and improve at my instruments ever since meeting and learning from him. Ive been attending Kyles lessons for a little longer than 2 years now and Ive been able to play songs that I couldnt imagine before, one of the best things is that you learn by playing songs you actually like so that keeps you motivated and makes it fun. Just like everything else, having continuous feedback frrom an expert is very important to keep improving, sometimes I tend to do bad practices but Kyle is always giving me feedback about the correct techniques. You wont get stuck trying to learn boring theory since youll learn just enough to play the song you want. Highly recommended!
