Dont be fooled by the nice building or fun science & imaginative play room theyll show you. In the month my children attended Ladybird they never used any of them. Nor did they take my son on the field trips that were promised, and that we paid for in advance. Asked for a refund and was told the money went to activity supplies used in the classroom. If by activity they mean the blank piece of white paper he was given to draw on...then they need to find more reasonably priced paper. Both of my children, who LOVED their previous school, came home crying saying that the teachers yelled too much. After talking to more people around town, Ive heard similar stories. Wish Id had the chance to ask around before I made the mistake of enrolling my kids.Ive sent multiple emails expressing concern, all of which went unanswered. When I personally asked the director why emails were ignored she said she had a stack of emails an inch thick on her desk requiring a response. Maybe thats the problem...you dont print off emails to begin with.

This is such an interactive safe place to send your child. I was so nervous about my infant starting at such a young age but the infant room there is AMAZING. Ms. Gina was my son’s favorite and she would even teach the babies Spanish and ASL. I also loved being so involved in his day by getting so many updates, pictures, and messages. They also have cameras so you can watch your child at any time!!

I am so disappointed in this facility! Not only was I not told the truth about the services that they provided, (afterschool homework assistance and that they do so much that all the parents will have to do is feed their kids, bath and bed). When I inquired about the homework assistance, I was told that the teachers have 25 students and they can not help with homework or verify if the child even had any. Then, I was told that the kids would be able to do they online learning only to find out that the facility does not have computers! After finding these things out I had my husband ask what was their cancellation policy and he was told that they did not have one and to just let them know when my son was going to stop coming. So, I sent and email to notify them that my son would not be returning the following week and if they could please reply that they received the email as confirmation. After 4 days, I called twice and no reply, my husband went and asked the staff about the email and the staff informed him that they did receive the email and we were suppose to give them a 2 week notice! My husband said she was rude and very dismissive. My son went to the facility for 2 months and there was 4 COVID-19 cases and which one involved my son (he was negative). He had to be out of school for 2 weeks and we were charged 50% because they explained that they still need to pay staff to clean. (This should have been something they put in the letters when they notify the parents) When children are home fulltime the price of food goes up as well.I did not like their unprofessional approach to doing business. It is not worth me paying the facility $100 a week for my son to just play for 2-3 hours a day and still have to come home and do his homework. I would rather him come home and I pay a sitter in my home unexposed.

Today my 18mo ago granddaughter started at Ladybird Academy of Oakleaf. My daughter goes to drop her off, thinking they would verification information or let her meet the teacher-new child-Nope (strike 1). My daughter was told by the Director that the person who take fingerprints was out but they would take care of her fingerprints this afternoon. After watching the class online, no staff interaction with my granddaughter nor other students (strike 2); my granddaughter sitting at a table crying. Yes we get she was going to cry but no interaction. I goes to pick up my granddaughter, thinking we will try again tomorrow.Me: I am here to pick NiomiStaff member: What class is she in?Me: the 1-2 yrs old”Staff member: GrasshoppersI was Never asked who I was nor was I asked for my identification I didnt have to sign her out (strike three-out). My granddaughter was still crying; her heart was beating so fast, she held on to me so tight. No one took the time or attempt to comforter her or make her feel safe at this daycare.I had never been to the daycare before!!My granddaughter mother and father attended the open house; the daycare center looks nice and clean; staff are smiling and so friendly. My daughter call to the daycare to ask how Niomi was doing. The director transfer her to the classroom (she didnt know Niomi had been pick up). The staff person tell her she was crying and she was picked up.When this was brought to the attention of the Director, she didnt give a dam. Her attitude was-her grandmother pick her up- How the hell do she no who pick her up-no one asked. She didn’t apology or attempt justified. 😡Is your child safe or can anyone pick them up???

***** Price Hike ***** I went to Open House the second week in July of 2021 very excited about enrolling my child. I contacted Ladybird Academy less than a week later and was advised of a price change in the weekly tuition cost. I was very disappointed, I couldnt understand why this wasnt explained at Open House. There was no explanation given. Parents beware of the price hacks at any given time that they feel like increasing the tuition cost VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!

What a wonderful school! Mrs. Victoria and her team are so welcoming and loving. My child loves coming to school each day and seeing her teachers. They take such good care of the students and I like being able to watch my child interact with her friends through the camera system. The communication through the app is also nice to be able to talk to the teacher throughout the day to check on my baby. Definitely recommend!!!

I am currently a teacher there and I can say this preschool is amazing. There is so much room for creativity, enriching learning and engagement between the teachers, staff and children. Not to mention the cleanliness and beauty this school holds within all areas of the building including the classrooms and enrichment rooms. I love working for Ladybird Acadamy of Oakleaf and getting to spend my days teaching young children.

I cant imagine my little one going to any other daycare. The staff is amazing! Since this is his first time at daycare, my husband had been so worried about his well-being, but he has been exceling and breaking out of his mommy shell. His personality is shining through and his teachers can see that. They might be more excited than me!

Awesome Daycare! My son started about a month ago and my husband and I love it there! The camera feature is the best ever! The teachers teach them well because our son has been able to say some colors and numbers already! He loves his teachers and they love him. If you are looking for a clean, safe, and high quality daycare facility, this is definitely the place for your child!!

My son has been in daycare before but I have never been as pleased as I have been with him at Ladybird. He comes home talking about his day and we look at his pictures on the bright wheel app and he tells me what they did in each picture. He talks about his classmates and his teachers often and is very fond of them. He started during the pandemic and It has been tough not being able to physically take him to the classroom but the management staff is very friendly and makes everyone feel at ease, including the kids. It also helps that I can watch what he is doing from my phone whenever I want. If youre hesitant to enroll your child at ladybird, dont hesitate. The price may be high, but you pay for the quality of care for your child and to me its worth every penny and more.

At first glance, this facility is perfect. Its a CLEAN and beautiful facility... but beyond that, good luck!I had faith in Ladybird until they allowed my daughter to be used as a chew toy yesterday. If you are looking for a place with good supervision, this isnt your place. Youd better get the camera option so you can semi supervise your own child.I have an 18 month old, so your experience may differ if your child can communicate properly to you/staff.1) Listen to the previous reviewer about her toddler coming home THIRSTY and hungry. It happened every day for me. I even started taking a water bottle to the school to REMIND them to give her water. She was dehydrated, her urine was dark and my baby was exhausted.2) They dont communicate properly. The bright wheel app messaging feature might as well not exist. They dont use it.3) Good luck meeting with the director. Shes hardly ever there. If she is shes too busy to talk, so she passes your concerns to the front desk staff. I tried meeting with her and my daughters teacher (since we kept having issues and Id never met my daughters teacher due to COVID). She had an emergency all of a sudden. And every issue Ive had since then, shes been nowhere to be found. Shes seemingly a nice lady, though.4) Poor supervision. My daughter got bit TWICE in one day, in three separate areas. I have attached a picture. They both happened IN FRONT of the teachers. The first time, I missed it on the cameras, and got notified by the front desk staff. It didnt break skin (on arm), she cried for a second and it was fine. I brushed it off. Kids play, things happen. The second time I watched it happen on camera. The boy CLIMBED on top of my daughter, pulled her to the floor and bit her twice in the back. Obviously, I saw my daughter get up crying, but the teachers acted completely oblivious as to what was going on. They proceeded to take the children outside, didnt address or reprimand the child. As you can see, both bites on the back broke skin. AFTER I called the daycare to report what Id seen and have them check my daughters back, ONLY THEN did I get a proper assessment of the situation and she was cleaned with soap and water and given an ice pack.I asked for proper details about the incidents that took place the same day, was told they could not give me any info. I asked if it was the same boy from earlier that day, they told me it was two different children but I find that hard to believe as my daughter has been here three weeks now with no previous incidents like this.Needless to say, yesterday was her last day. I have filed a report with DCF and I really hope Ladybird gets it together with their staff, and their inattentiveness.Take your toddlers/infants at your own risk. :)

I do not have any complaints. I highly recommend this daycare. My child learns so much and it shows everyday at home. Anyone that ask me about daycare I always tell them to check LadyBird Academy out. My child daycare is like a second home he spends lots of time there due to working so I wouldnt want it any other way.

I absolutely love the Ladybird academy! Fantastic teachers, caring staff, live streaming video to your phone for peace of mind, a curriculum that actually works (my son is writing his own name at 3!), an art studio, computer lab, library, play town is so much fun and the playground is outstanding! Everything is new, top of the line and they keep the prices the same as the surrounding daycares. I will only send my son to Lady Bird academy!

I love it !! Before putting them in this daycare I researched daycares all over Jacksonville and read a lot of reviews . I’m a very hard parent to please so Before coming to this school I met with various different ones around Jacksonville. I was very hesitant because my kids since they where born have been watched by my mom most of the time . But this school has made the transition so easy . The director Jennifer is amazing she always answers my questions personally unlike other daycares . Plus the teachers are amazing . My little one has a hard time adapting to change because he is use to being watched by his grandma but the teachers are just so sweet to him and they are constantly keeping me updated on what my baby is doing through out the day with picture etc . Also the camera system in the facility is a plus ! I recommend this location to all parents looking for a safe daycare .

At first glance this facility is beautiful. This location was right near my house. They also have the option to watch the classroom online from your own login. I have an 18 month old who has been in daycare since he was 3 months old and he loves school! I wanted to make sure my child was comfortable and I wanted to see his interaction in the classroom so I didn’t work for his first week at Ladybird. I stayed home and I watched the camera. There was a number of issues to start with and I just assumed it was due to the facility being new but I couldn’t to bear to let my child continue.1) No supervision.I witnessed on multiple occasions while watching the footage, toddlers not being supervised. The teachers were more interested in keeping the space tidy. On multiple occasions the teachers back was turned. My child was attacked by another child and bitten and the teacher didn’t see it bc her back was turned and she was the only one in the class. This happened not once time but twice. I wasn’t even notified of the incident until almost 2 hours after it occurred. I pulled my child out after the second incident. My child was at this facility a total of two days and was bitten on both days (one of the bites broke skin and required a tetanus shot according to the pediatrician).2) Hungry and thirsty. My child came home hungry on both days despite asking for more (he was ignored). My child spilled his milk the second day and was never offered anything else to drink. He had nothing to drink after snack around 11 until I picked him up around 3. Once he was in the car he drank a full 20 oz bottle of water.3) No curriculum as advertisedOutside of circle time and meal times there was no organization to the day. Since there was no curriculum the children were getting restless. Standing and dancing on tables and trying to knock down shelves and play areas.4) My child no longer wanted to go to school. He is not a cryer and he is enthusiastic about school and was always crying when I picked him up and refused to go in at drop off the second day.I spoke to the director during both of the incidents and she insisted I give the facility another chance because according to her “this is the best facility in Jacksonville” and I did. After the second incident I couldn’t bear to bring my child back knowing that he would possibly be ignored, attacked, or hungry while I was at work. I don’t feel like my child was safe at this facility. I felt like with the lack of supervision the next call I would receive would be something more severe. After pulling my child out we went to The Learning Experience (right around the corner) and just after one day my baby is back to his normal self and back to loving school again. There has been no more crying at drop offs or pick ups. He practically runs out the door to get to school. Also, The Learning Experience is cheaper and they have amazing teachers and staff and follow a great curriculum offering Spanish and sign language. If I could give no stars I would but to write a review you have to give 1.

These people lost my paperwork and told me that I never completed it. I know that I did because I tried to pay the $100 registration fee but did not have to because of the VPK program. I check with the staff weekly about when the VPK program with start and I cant be until they were waiting on DCF.the program started on October 2nd and here it is almost December and my son was looked over and I was unable to take him there for the program this really upset me because we were all very excited to start but we were looked over.
