We are so happy to be a part of The Childrens Tree community. The teachers truly love and respect all of their students. The teacher-parent communication is exceptional. I have two children in the primary program who love their teachers and the beautiful multi-sensory resources in their classrooms!

The CTMS team is wonderful and helpful. Making a transition this year to their program has been easy for my daughter. Walking into classrooms with plants and animals and natural light warmed my educator heart!

I am amazed by the personal attention, sensitivity, respect, and love that the teachers and principal show to all of the children and parents each day. They are so open and encourage parents to participate in lessons or observe. I have learned so much already and am overwhelmed by the growth I have seen in my child in just a few months time!

Attending Open house at Childrens Tree was the best decision my husband and I have ever made. My daughter began attending school at Childrens Tree Montessori last year, beginning in the toddler room and she is now in Primary classroom. I am thrilled that my son will be joining the Toddler room. My son and I also attend the excellent Parent-Child Toddler classes.Staff members well trained and always happy to share their expertise. The school building and grounds are impeccable and materials for children are beautiful. Everything about Childrens Tree is designed for the children and enhance their experience and learning and ability to be hands on. The custom toddler size kitchen and bathroom are incredible and allow for as much independence as possible, and the primary and elementary classrooms are just as carefully designed. There are classroom animals including chinchillas, birds, turtles and fish. There are two separate playground areas, with raised bed gardens that the children are responsible for. My daughter is a passionate spitfire and sometimes behaviorally challenging. She THRIVES at CTMS. Children in attendance are always polite and respectful and I am proud to say the school has a great awareness and appreciation for cultural diversity.Montessori education is different for traditional education, but it has stood the test of time and the Childrens Tree has been open for more than 20 years. CTMS also carries prestigious and very strict American Montessori Society Accreditation, making it one of less than 20 in the state. Children learning from the teachings of Maria Montessori through elementary school consistently have higher Math and Science scores at the high school level. I am proud to say my children are receiving equivalent education to the the future king of England, and the opportunity is right here in Old Saybrook.I would highly recommend Childrens Tree Montessori School in Old Saybrook, Connecticut to anyone exploring options for their children.
