We went out for 6 hours and could not be more happy! The boat was as advertised and Captain David was great! We saw two pods of dolphins and had a truly great time! Highly recommend this as guaranteed win!

A truly fantastic experience! I have chartered 2 sailing experiences with the wonderful Captain David Mora and both times have been incredible. I definitely recommend a 3 hour sail, as both times the 3 hours allowed us the opportunity to be surrounded by dolphins, which is truly magical! Highly recommend!!

Our trip with Captain Skully was simply fantastic. My wife and I arrived early and he was already there. For our 3 hour trip, we had bright, sunny, low-70’s weather, steady winds, a beautiful boat and a captain who is very personable. Dave answered all of our questions, regaled us with some great stories (ask him how he first learned to sail over 38 years ago). The highlight was when we were in the middle of an enormous pod of common dolphins (150? 200? I don’t know, but we saw a incredible number of dolphins that were swimming and jumping all around us, and in our bow wake just 5-6 feet from where we were standing). From my very first contact when I was reserving our time and date, to the time we stepped off the boat at the end of our sail, this was a first class experience. Not only would I recommend this experience for others, I would recommend that my wife and I do another sailing with Dave sometime in the future.

We had a really great time on this charter! Captain David was a delight--hes very knowledgeable as a sailor and boat captain. And hes also relaxed with a good sense of humor. We liked his Oceanside location because you dont waste time getting out of the bay like in San Diego. The boat is well appointed and a perfect size for coastal sailing. If you know how to sail hes comfortable with letting you help run the boat. This was a big treat for me! If youre thinking of chartering a sailboat in the San Diego area, would highly recommend giving Captain David a call, you wont be disappointed!

Beautiful day out on the Pacific! We even saw dolphins! Captain Dave is knowledgeable, friendly and polite. The boat, Breath of an Angel is clean and well maintained. Very relaxing day and I recommend it highly to everyone!

My girlfriend and I just returned from an afternoon sail with Capt. David Mora. A gracious host aboard a wonderful vessel. Breath of an Angel loves the ocean, wind and her Captain. They work very well together. Will definitely be back to Oceanside and hope to sail with Skully again!

Wow what a day! Captain Skully is great! He is very knowledgeable. We saw dolphins, whales and sea lions! The dolphins were swimming right alongside the boat! We enjoyed sailing on the Angel, she is a beautiful boat! It was a day we will never forget!

My husband, myself, and our two teenage boys booked Sailing Blue Water Charters last week when we were on our Thanksgiving Holiday. It was the best decision we could have made. Captain David was a godsend! Teenagers aren’t always the easiest to please and we ALL had an absolute blast on his boat “Breath Of An Angel” which is a fitting name. When we asked our boys what the best part of our four day trip to Oceanside, both of them unanimously said Sailing With Captain Dave! Captain David Skully was amazing. He let my children enjoy themselves on board exploring the boat while being extremely attentive to their safety which was my main concern. After 5 minutes with Captain Dave I knew my entire family was in good hands and I COMPLETELY relaxed. Captain David MADE our tip to Oceanside. We had two hours of fun, excitement, gorgeous scenery and tons of laughs. He even let me listen to Jimmy Buffet while sailing upon request! I highly recommend this charter with Captain David. Captain David is an excellent maritime explorer! I have been sailing with him multiple times on his charters. Each time he takes us out to awesome spots where theres plenty of aquatic life to see. He has always had everything on board that we needed to enjoy the times. The sailboat he has to offer is a perfect size for small groups and his price is incredibly reasonable, I have never had any problems with this man. Ive been out with a group of 8 comfortably and we all had exciting things to do all day long. Weather permitting I would suggest The Skully Captain and his vessel (Breath of an Angel) each and every time you decide to charter into the big blue. Thanks Captain Ill be boarding SOON!!!

Went sailing with Captain David (aka Captain Skully) and his first mate (and lovely fiance) Patti today and had a blast! I would recommend Sailing Blue Waters to anyone in the SoCal area looking to do a sailing trip! We saw wales and the Captain immediately took us over to try and get a closer look! David and Patti were very knowledgeable, answering all of my groups questions, and yet still fun and professional. Its easy to see that Captain David has a passion for sailing and genuinely enjoys sharing it with others! Go sailing with Blue Water Charters!! you will not regret it!!!

Captain David is amazing!!! He is always such a great host, very welcoming and accommodating. He even has anti nausea dramamine on board just in case anyone might feel queazy. I have been on breath of an angel many times! Whale watching, out for a cocktail cruise for friends birthdays, and have gone to Catalina Island which I can say was the most fun I have had in a long time!

We just got back from our Sunset Cruise with Captain David Skully and it was wonderful! Were here on our honeymoon and so far it was easily the highlight of the trip. First of all, we didnt plan ahead for a boat tour at all. So we were making calls to every sailing charter trying to find someone who would be able to book the same day. After ten different companies said no, Captain Skully said yes.The Breath of an Angel (what a great name!) was right by the Jolly Roger restaurant. The boat (ship? sailboat? vessel?) is beautiful, and obviously well cared for. Captain David Skully met us by the dock, because we are staying in the harbor, and we were underway within minutes. He took us by a buoy that had a half dozen seals (and a baby seal) lying on it, he taught us how to spot dolphins (look for birds!), and he let me steer the boat on the way out of the harbor. We brought champagne on the boat (this is the last night of our honeymoon), and he poured it for us and kept our glasses full. He actually provided better service than some of the restaurants weve been to this week. He pointed out landmarks in the distance, like Catalina, La Jolla, and Dana Point. He planned the whole tour so that we would have a sunset that was perfectly framed by the time we came back into harbor. He took pictures for us (which came out beautiful). When we got back onto land, he even gave us a ride back to our condo! Seriously, who does that?Not only did he give us an entertaining and informative tour, he treated us like friends. We felt relaxed and comfortable the whole time. I cant say enough about how much Captain David Skully exceeded our expectations. This is his own business, and you can tell how much he loves what he does. He is passionate about sailing, genuinely nice, and really cared about our experience. It was perfect.We will be calling him again when we come back for our anniversary.
