I attended here for a semester or two and it was a very good school. The faculty was very good and the campus was clean and well-maintained. The school of fine arts has a very nice theater and they perform plays and musicals there, and the performances are top notch.

Cool and chill with lots of neat classes, and if you care about transferring to a four-year university they make it very easy to get all your prerequisites sorted. When I attended there were a lot of squares whod complain about you smoking outside the officially designated shame zones but most of them were adult learners so who cares what they think

Great school for a community college. I heard it’s the best around. Many students come from San Diego or from the North just to go here. They do a lot of things by hand (compared to other schools that do things electronically). The grounds are well kept. The parking is horrible during the beginning of the semester. More parking will be available as time comes. When you register for a class, you need to pay the same day or you get dropped. If you’ve dropped a lot of classes, the school might give you a hold because the classes are impacted. There is a daycare center. Parking permits and books are relatively cheaper than most.

I highly recommend this school for anyone wanting a degree or just some worthwhile self-enrichment. As a student there, you feel at home and there is a constant atmosphere of creativity and flexibility. We need more community oriented schools like this one!

Good School. The campus is breath taking. Views of the ocean in the dining hall and surrounding areas. Tons of plants and trees all around, a great variety. Staff are helpful. Parking is a struggle, unless you dont mind parking in dirt lots but then its not worth buying a parking permit. As for professors and academia, they could improve. Check professors ratings onlines some teach to only one or two learning styles. The classes are pretty easy. Maybe to easy.

Very good school with a fantastic campus! There are a few, not-so-great teachers, but overall the staff and faculty are awesome! The cafeteria food is really good too!

This college has really strong resources for their students. Every department has longtime employees who really help keep the structure strong. You can have any question or seek any service and one interacts with people who genuinely care and are competent. I am an independent, successful student who has experienced many colleges in Calif. This college is exceptional in re: staffing, services of all kinds.I also have silently noticed the campus is safe. The police people are experienced, friendly, and can handle any situation. I noticed how well-matched they are to be working specifically for a college--while also actively being respected and interactive with OPD, CHP, CPD. sheriff. The officers are low-key and fair to all students. Colleges will increasingly have very young students and older adult students. Being able to interact with people of all ages and know how to handle each situation with best outcome matters every time. Great campus and progressive, too!

Not to shabby for a community college. The grounds are well kept and staff seem to be friendly and helpful. The problems I do have with this campus however is the over-pricing of products in both the bookstore and cafeteria. Students have to be some of the poorest citizens aside from the homeless and the school chargers an arm and a leg for things bought on campus. It makes no sense to me.

Is it too difficult to answer the phone? What kind of service can I expect if I have to jump through hoops to talk to someone? My time is valuable.

Dealing with administration is a nightmare. Every time I had to ask them a question about financial aid or any classes not getting added they would tell me its fixed but when I get home to use financial aid or add those classes it wouldnt work. You usually have to ask them a few times on separate days to actually get a proper answer. Also a while ago when I was traveling East on Barnard Dr towards the stop sign and campus police stopped at the adjacent stop sign then turned onto my street very slowly. When I stopped at the stop sign I noticed the police car had stopped in the middle of the road behind me. I felt like he was trying to make a reason to arrest me or something. When I then started to move again the police car speed off very fast screeching his tires. It was very bizarre.

This school has everything compared to other institutes. You have a nice police station. Student medical center. transfer/carrier centers. They deal with disabled students in a professional way. The facilities are alright, especially the library. Everyone of them always want to help you out, unless you are being unreasonable, then no one cant spoon-feed you...I felt very safe and satisfied while attending the school there. Great times!

Attending Mira Costa College to fulfill my highschool foreign language credit during my junior year was such a privilege; the campus may not be a new and updated at Palomar College, but the teaching staff there is definitely some of the best in the state, of not the nation. My Japanese 202 professor was well-organized and taught a very enriching curriculum, while the occasional professor survey would help department heads and the headmaster understand how the professor is doing, and how well each student receives their style of teaching, and curriculum.

I started out at MiraCosta College through the Summer Bridge Program. A 6-week program geared towards African descent high school students to transfer from high school to college. In the program we always had different ethnicities, outside of African descents. If you were not ready for the real world, up close and personal. Oh, well! The program made us take a look at ourselves, see how the world views us. For once in our lives we were given the chance to be in charge of our future and speak up. This program really changed us for the better.

I have been going to school here part time at both campuses for 7 years. Both campuses are great especially the Oceanside campus. My major is Biotechnology, the program is great. Mike Fino the head of the Oceanside Biotechnology department is a wonderful teacher, mentor and resource for jobs in the industry. Ive enjoyed all of my teachers, enrolling is easy and Ive easily obtained two scholarships while I was here as well. The Oeanside campus has a great library and computer center. Also they have free tutoring which was great and help me finish up any homework I needed help with, or tests answers I had gotten wrong. I would recommend this school to anyone.
