Ive known Brad since the days of the old Digital Imaging Group in SF. Its great to have him so close by, so knowledgeable, and so dedicated to the craft. Online instruction can only get you so far. Brad provides an all-important, personalized shortcut to knowledge--and thus to productive work using todays complex, powerful, imaging tools.

Interesting class. Liked the way it was structured and that we did a mini photo walk around the neighborhood. My only complaint that kept me from returning was that I was asked in front of the entire class why I thought I needed the Nikon D800 as my starter camera.

FLD workshops are very small-group, allowing them to be adjusted and customized for the attendees, which is great! Its pretty obvious that the instructor has been doing photo post production for many years. Even more important, he presents information in a clear structured way.

I took a class with Brad and there were only a few individuals so I got a lot of one on one attention. He was patient, helpful, and helped me to gain knowledge and practice the techniques in a safe and useful method. I highly recommend him and his classes.

Brads a great guy, and definitely knows what hes doing with a camera and as a teacher. I took his intro to digital course when I finally transitioned from film to digital a few years back. He patiently works with you individually to go through all the menus to set up the camera the way you want it, and also gives informative lectures. He definitely upped the quality of my photos and my enjoyment of the craft of digital photography.

We first took a beginning photography class from Brad 5 years ago. Since then we have taken both group and private lessons on Lightroom, which I find to be a great but not easy program to use. Brad is a patient and awesome teacher. He has also helped set up our Mac computers so everything runs smoothly. We are students for life of his.Do note his office is now in Oakland, not SF. Easy to find location.

Brad is one of those great teachers who is very knowledgeable about his craft, yet can easily transfer that knowledge to his students in understandable form, without a hint of ego or pretension. He gave a long lecture/workshop to our group, which went over very well. It was definitely one of the best-received presentations weve ever had.

I am a professional photographer in the Sacramento area. I have not yet been able to take advantage of your courses but am very interested in doing so. Because I am in an area that is a bit distant from your office I would certainly attend a course if it was closer to me, but if I can work my schedule I intend to try to come to one at your store. The best Photography 4 hr class I have ever taken.Ive taken many classes and still had no idea how to use my Camera, D80.I left this class, went and bought a new lens, and am amazed I am taking great photos already. I actually have an idea of what Im doing and I can finally come off the Auto button, which took terrible pictures any way.

The Photoshop classes I took were well thought out and properly paced for anyone with an interest in learning the industry standard photo editing software. There is definitely a lot to learn, so you need to invest the time on a project or two to really have it sink in.

Brad is a great teacher! He takes the time to carefully explain Photoshop and gives great advice on how to get the most from your digital photos. I asked a million questions and Brad took time to answer each one. I will definitely be back for more classes in the future!

I have taken Brads classes for several years. I have also had him help me set up new systems. All of my experiences with Future Light Digital have been well worthwhile in furthering my ability as a photographer and as a retoucher. Brad has always been very professional and enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge. I would, and have, recommended FLD to anyone interested in Adobe software, printing and photography. He is not only knowledgeable but patient, encouraging and explains things in a simplistic way so that you can understand and can replicate what you are taught. I took a basic Lightroom class at Future Light and loved it! There was a lot of information--more than I could absorb in one session, actually. But that is the way I like to learn: lots of stimulating ideas that get me excited about the power of Lightroom, and I get to walk away with enough new knowledge to use Lightroom effectively. Brad is a great teacher, answers questions well, and really knows his stuff.

I am so happy I took the two-day Lightroom class with Brad. I was nervous about attending because I had zero previous experience with the Lightroom program. Brad is one of the best teachers Ive had in my photography journey so far. I previously took an online Lightroom course and was left very confused. Brad not only answers every question with patience, but its easy to see that he is excited about his work and loves to share his knowledge, which makes learning a lot more fun. I immediately put my new knowledge to the test and am very pleased with how much information I was able to take home and how much my images have improved since taking this class. The small class size felt very welcoming and Brad often called each of us by name. A great experience. Highly recommend. And, Ill definitely be back for his other workshops.

A random LightRoom workshops in Bay Area led us to Future Light. It turned out to be one of the best random search results for me. Brad is a great, patient instructor who loves what he does and wants you to learn and understand. After our workshop we hired Brad on two separate occasions for some one on one time and built upon what we learned and are now feeling more and more confidant with the not altogether easy LightRoom program.

Well - what can I say? ....a really 5 star place....professional to the core, well equiped for computer programs and printing classes( at least in past San Francisco studio )and excellent teaching on range beginning to professional levels- highly recommended.I find it a great resourse if/when i am a bit stalled on the tec that is so demandingthese days in the field of photography....a place to grow....

Brad is a well of knowledge and Lightroom wisdom - and a great teacher.

I started taking classes here over 6 years ago when I picked up a DSLR. I took the beginners class and learned a lot about white balance, aperture, ISO...all the basics of using a DSLR. Brad is patient and very well organized. Students in the class had a variety of skillsets and he was able to accommodate all of our questions throughout!Fast forward a few years, I took a portrait class and continued to learn a lot more. He and an assistant set up different scenarios and explained what the lighting and poses would do. We all got a chance to shoot to gain first hand experience!!

I had read a couple of books about Lightroom and was having a hard time integrating my old workflow with Lightroom. I tried this and that but Brads class helped me find the best way to manage terabytes of RAW images and make them look good too. In the time that has passed I have gone to using a NAS to back up a striped and mirrored RAID array in my primary editing system. Thanks Brad!

Ive been attending Brads workshops for about 4 years. Ive taken Photoshop, and Lightroom classes, and Brad is VERY knowledgeable with these and many other programs. I learned a lot of valuable info taking his digital printing class. I even bought my own Epson after taking his class. Ive also attended a couple of his field workshops including his HDR class. His classes are both fun and informative. He also breaks down the information in an easy to understand way making it accessible and worthwhile for anyone. I will continue to attend his classes in the future, and I recommend Brads classes and workshops without hesitation.

A good class, excellent presenter and good material for everyday use. Id take another class!
