My son has been in the Northbrook Montessori school for more than one and half years. We are so glad to see his growth and how much he enjoys the school! The teachers not only teach kids about knowledge but also help kids learn to be more independent. We would definitely recommend this place to other parents!

My son started two years ago. Back then, English was not even his primary language. We are grateful that the school, especially Ms. Kim, taught him so well in reading. Just as Ms. Mina, the president, says, reading takes him to everywhere. Now he reads 30+ books every week from library all by himself.I agree with one of the previous reviewers. Our kids didnt get to have much outdoor activities last summer other than some field trips. It was probably because the playground was still under construction back then. I see they start to have more opportunities to go out and play this year. We look forward to their upcoming summer schedule.Overall, I do recommend this school. We can easily tell that kids are in good hands in Northbrook Montessori School.

Northbrook Montessori has been an extension of our family. Our second daughter attended this school for 3 years after we moved to the area and the progress and developments we saw in her getting ready for Kindergarten was more than impressive. Its impossible to describe the combination of love and discipline that the owners and staff of this place are able to balance and the reflection of that in our children. They follow the methodology and still work full day with amazing schedule for working parents. we are very grateful yo them.

Wonderful wonderful staff and school overflowing with love and energy!! From our very first initial visit, to today, this school has consistently embraced and nurtured our daughter and us like family. Our daughter has been here for about a year now in the Toddler program and has developed into her own powerful self with love, happiness, compassion, and the curiosity to learn and explore. It’s been such a pleasure to see this as parents, who know the importance of creating an early solid emotional and educational foundation that she will embrace for the rest of her life.Thank you Northbrook Montessori School! We feel so blessed to have our daughter in such loving care and guidance and so excited to see her continue her amazing development in your Early Childhood program!

My son went to this school for three months. He loves every teacher there, especially Miss Kelly and Miss Angela. I could feel that he really enjoyed spending time there. Im sure hes taken good care of because of the timely communication between me and his teacher. Its a pity we had to leave because of the long distance from home to school, but definitely will come back if we move closer.

Summer is pretty shorthanded, no special summer program. Most of the teachers we have are wonderful, but do have not quite qualified teacher which administrative seem protects of the teacher than students. Non-summer still doesnt seems have enough teachers handling enough growing number of students, which causing problem of kids are not properly being guided.

When I first entered the school, I immediately felt right at home. Mina was drinking tea on the couches as we were talking. Fresh flowers are always on the table. The children help to cut them and put them in vases. Plants drape the banisters of the two story foyer. Mina welcomed our children by allowing them to come play on the playground for a few days before we actually started full time.Mr. Dadrass greets my children with a smile. My kids feel so loved from the first moment they arrive to school early in the morning every single day. I feel at ease every day knowing I am leaving them in good hands. When I visit the classrooms (which is often!), the children are quietly engaged. There is no yelling or loud noises. My children love to do practical life activities such as washing windows and sweeping. This responsibility has transferred to home, as they argue over who gets to sweep or vacuum first. They have become independent and we have learned to respect their independence. We were also lucky to have our children (ages 3 and 4.5 when they started) in the same primary class so they can learn to be kind and respectful of each other with the help of their amazing teachers. At first, I was surprised when I asked who was the class teacher, Mina said the teachers rotate. Then after a while, I understood, that all of the teachers help in all classrooms. My children enjoy helping in other classrooms with younger children, too. They know everyone. It is truly like a home away from home. We have become part of the Northbrook Montessori School family and they have become part of our family.
