Mojave is a great high school. My son loves the school. The staff/faculty are great and provide many tools for students to help prepare them for post graduation. We even bought a home within the school zone just because he wanted to stay at Mojave. Go Rattlers!!

I graduated here in 2013, and I saw a significant change in the school from 2011 when I began attending. Their graduation rate and test scores have sky rocketed and I saw a lot more participation in school functions. The principal there is one of the nicest men Ive ever met. If I still lived in Las Vegas, I would definitely send my children here.

Honestly this school has changed. A total flip Antonio Rael has done an amazing job. Not only has he but the teachers staff and students all strive to make Mojave a better place. Four years ago i was afraid to be a Rattler today i am student body vice president, As apart of the first generation of the New Mojave I can 100% tell you Mojave is on the rise. From state champion sports to achievement in academics. Mojave is a better place and is probably one of the best schools in the city.

One of the worse schools Ive ever had to deal with. My daughters life was threatened on Friday and instead of them going over and beyond to find these girls they tell my daughter that they have wasted their time looking for some girls as if its not important I set at the school from 9am to 1pm just for them to still not be able to tell me anything. Its sad that you cant even trust these Damn schools to keep your children safe or to even act like their concern. I cant wait for this school year to end Mojave shouldnt even be open to the public they shouldnt even be able to teach dogs

Mojave High School Is Worst High School I Ever Went To. Everyone Is Disrespectful, The Dean Of Students Has Six Lawsuit because she oh The Bullying She Doing To The Staff And Students. My History Told us That He Could Lose His Job For A Little Problem. Hes Been Teaching For 14 Years and Never Had a Problem. While Also I Seen My Spanish Teacher Cry Because Of The Bullying. The Principal Is Just Following Her And Doesnt Play Attention. The Policy That They Created Called You Will Compliy is a way to take our basic human rights. I Seen my Art Teacher use it for little problem which is disappointment. If You Going To Attend Mojave, I Recommend Not To.

I got a huge problem.. The tardy lock outs are out of order. They say your education is important but if your a minute late to class they RPC you... And your parents have to come in the next day and sign you in. Now if you are a parent that works all the time and cant get to the school to sign them in your kid isnt allowed at school so their fore the kid is missing class and falling behind just for being late... Thanks! Mojave! Your the best! This school acts like its new every year thank God its my last year at this school..

When I first went to Mojave my freshman year it was unorganized, chaotic and I was very afraid of my surroundings. Then when the school turned around and Mr. Rael took over it was a complete switch.Turnaround should be taken as literal context. As an alumni of Mojave I can say that the progress made was tremendous and that people should definitely take a second look when considering it as an option for their child to go to. The only way to make a school good is to have a great administration and mannerable students. We have the new and improved teachers now all Mojave needs is a good new generation of students to really make the school change for the better.

This school is jail for students.I send my child here and they get rpcd for the STUPIDEST reason. Jail is often compared to hell so check yourself and grow up mojave. These kids are humans and the i will comply policy you guys made up is a modern day slavery for the youth. Only because my child is forced to come here. I WISH my child never attended. Sadly she still does but thank god its her last year. I feel sorry for the children who attend this sorry excuse of a school

My son Jordi is attending this school and had a bad time making friends. He had his heart broken multiple times while he is at this school. He was also very emo and edgy but that is how he is. He tells me in Xbox chat how he hated this one dude named John and he sounds like a rad dude. He probably joined the Minuteman in Fallout 4 and mains Genji in Overwatch. John had a crush on some weird girl but Antonio the Overlord took his place. Overall this is an amazing school, but it has no Whataburger so its kinda eh. 10/10 would recommend for any young adult that is looking for a great high school.

The worst school Ive ever seen. It took them nearly a week to say if they could accept my special needs son who had a IEP. Finally got the call to come in, and they would be able to accept him and accommodate him. Spoke to Mrs.Schwartz and she all but, reassured us that he would be OK. Well on his second day he had an issue with a teacher and words were spoken. My son had a melt down, and began cursing, and going off(I let them know up front that my son was ADHD, and he had ASD) he had frequent blow ups and melt downs. He was sent to the Deans office and he began cursing. A secretary over heard him and asked him was he cursing. He replied yes I am. Well two students overheard him and began swearing at him and bullying him. Threatened to beat him up after school all while the secretary just sat there and did and said absolutely nothing. My son feared for his safety and he ran to the bus after school. He came home telling us what had happened. We decided to keep him home until we spoke to someone. Monday morning first thing called and left messages. NOTHING. Tuesday we decided to go in and speak to someone. Well some bimbo who was sitting at desk claiming to be the student advocate decided to get up in my sons face talking stuff to him. Well Mama bear in me came out, and I quickly shut her down. Hes a kid with a mental disability. The so called dean came in(not much help) and spoke to us. Gave my son a book to pick the kids from. He couldnt place them but, the secretary knew who they were because she was laughing while they bullied my child. DONT see the humor in it. They refused to do anything and the sorry assed dean just brushed it off. We decided not to send him back and we found an alternative school to send him to. Called the principal and school board and again nothing. We have yet to get a phone call from anyone. This is a HORRIBLE school.

I just moved to Las Vegas from California and Mojave is the assigned school for our area. I have a freshman and a senior starting here. Our first contact with this school was about a week before school began. We arrived before 8 a.m. in hopes of shortening our wait time. We were given #10 and had a seat in the waiting area. An hour after not hearing one number called I went to the secretary and asked how much longer it would be, she informed me that my number had been passed. I told her that was impossible because I had not heard any numbers called. she sensed a complaint coming from me and rudely cut me off. she then told me I would have to stand next to the counselors door and wait for her to finish with the parent she had in her office already. when it was almost my turn another parent came up with a lower number than mine who was also skipped. I let the parent go ahead of me and continued to stand next to door and wait. Finally we get into the counselors office, (Barbara) my first impression was chaos. There were registration files pilled in unorganized stacks on her desk. Piles and piles of paperwork on chairs, desks, and yes even the floor. My immediate concern was that my childrens paperwork was going to get lost in the mess. Once we sat and started speaking to her we quickly realized why the office was in such chaos. She was a nice lady but she was definitely in way over her head. she found it hard to focus and was jumping back and forth between children she was registering. She repeatedly answered the phone and trailed off into different task while we waited in front of her. At one point she answered the phone and completely started helping someone else for 15 minutes while we waited in front of her. The other staff in the office seemed to follow in her footsteps. the secretary continuously interrupted and asked for things she apparently could not do herself. One female counselor came in while she was on the phone and repeatedly started calling her name over and over again while she was talking. (Barbara, where are the maps?) over and over again. I have never seen anything so unprofessional in my life. When she finally got off the phone I stopped her. I explained to her that I realized that they were swamped with work but that I had been there for over two hours and would appreciate it if she could focus for a couple minutes because I had other things to do. She let me know that she would request my students transcripts and call me within a couple days to let me have their student IDs so that they could get on the bus. I knew she was going to forget my children so I contacted their old schools myself and gave them the fax number to the school and asked them to send their records. I called Barbara 3 times throughout the week and aside from my efforts they were not enrolled. we showed up on the first day of school and had to get another number with parents that were barely enrolling their children i told three people there that I had already been here and completed this process; however they made me wait another 2 hours to see another counselor who told us our children were enrolled. she sent them to a class where guess what?! they werent.... my children had to pick there classes all over again because they are so unorganized they did not know where any of there paperwork was. My poor kids. They still have not received any information on the bus and are not in the system yet. And as if things werent already bad I went to pick them up and seen a group of around 10 kids at the corner of the school acting like they were going to push a motorcyclist off his bike. When the motorcyclist pulled over they acted like they were going to attack him. It was scary! I can not bare to send my children back to this school and it is only the second day.

This high school just has a shooting last Friday where a teen was left dead on the street. The highschool was on lockdown on Friday 11-20-15 at around 4pm. It would be better to be homeschooled than to attend this high school. Much safer to do homeschooling. For socialization there is always summer camps. Book clubs. Lions clubs and Sierra clubs etc.The violence is an ongoing problem. They average two lockdowns a month.
