I completed two courses at ELI – general English and then for the business English course. The ELI staff and faculty were incredibly professional and charming. Further, ELI courses are offered in an environment that encourages to learn English. I was really impressed, satisfied with the school’s methodology, which allowed me to feel more confident in my linguistic skills, adapt to the beautiful Newark area, and improve those skills in a fast-paced manner. Two star is only for the teachers of English Language Institute (ELI). BIG ZREO for the English Language Institute (ELI). As you can see on the comments, they only care about the money. Students who are struggling with English has been emotionally bullying, because they destroy your self-confidence and ask your take the same level English class over and over again in a tricky way !!!!! I was expecting to take English classes for just a few months, but ended up spending a year at ELI. I studies hard and passed rates for each section at one time, BUT at the last section, the teacher told me he could not let me pass this time, just because my essay is 6.5 instead of 7.0 is the passing score. WHAT ??? They just wanted me pay more money and finish the same English level unnecessarily !!! I feel like I must raise my voice for the right to speak outI believe there will be more unpleasant comments like this, because this is way ELI treat us, and they deserve it !!! But, I do make a lot of amazing friends. Thanks GOD ! there is something good but nothing to do with ELI.

University of Delaware English Language Institute is really great. My first contact was with Leah Jane Davidson. She is so sweet and friendly. My Intensive English program was very useful. The University has an amazing campus, awesome activities, kind teachers and nice people.. It really was my best experience studying English. I love the University of Delaware!!!

The University of Delaware English Language Institute is one of the best things that happened in my life. They helped me from A to Z and I really appreciate how they manage to help the students. The teachers are really professional and caring, they follow your progress and make sure no one are left behind. I wish we had the same system in France. Not only is the ELI the best place to study English and create life-lasting friendships, but it is an amazing place to work as well! I studied English at the Institute for 6 months and loved my teachers and supporting staff who made me feel welcome and created a home-like environment. Meeting friendly and interesting students from all over the world and exploring their cultures was one of the best experiences in my life! After completing my English studies, I continued to work at the ELI for next five years and became a part of the ELI family! Lastly, location of ELI is incredible: NYC, Washington D.C., Baltimore, Philly, and Boston are all just driving distance away! I highly recommend attending the ELI for the lifetime journey you wont forget!

Best place to study English as a second language, I have a great chance to know many nationalities in one place with very different cultures! The teachers are working very hard to improve our skills! Ive learned lots of methods to keep up learning even when you go back home! So that, they dont only teach you as many as the institutes over the world (by the book)! They teach you how to learn quickly and continually.The town is very quiet, it has literally four seasons Winter, spring, summer and fall. The people there are helpful, friendly and politely. No tax for what you buy in the state!

I joined in a graduate visiting program here for two sessions.I enjoyed my everyday courses presented by the excellent Instructors. Paper writing practice is very helpful. Instructor Carolina is so responsible, knowledgeable, and lovable, as well as Nigel.Ms.Woodss listening materials and analysis are also fresh and fruitful. A lot of fun and stage knowledge are received from Nigels Drama class. Instructors are inspiring，they help and lead us to the correct and creative answers.I love the lively classroom very much.These daily peace and contentment amount to the most memorable experiences. Thanks to the UD ELI teachers and friends who offered many chances for me to participant in many wonderful activities. And thanks to the ELI homestay officers who enabled me to live with Lisa, my homestay mom who nurtured me food and love, who are my American mom now. Many many Thanks to Ana, Brady and my Thai sister Tansha from the ELI. I feel super lucky and very blessed to be acquainted with many wonderful,helpful and joyful people and true friends. Great institute to learn English at. They have different ways to get the students involved and actually learn English, like CAP cohort, get involved with the university students and so on. When I was there, Ive met people from different countries, which I think is the best thing. I definitely recommend it :)

I studied at the ELI almost two years and I can say it with confident its the best days of my life..ELI is more than Institute for teaching English !! Its a place which you could learn about everything in the world and what happened in different countries and continents !! Seven years ago, I had a great chance to be learned from outstanding teachers who taught me the right way to success, not only in learning the language itself but also developed my academic skills that helped me a lot later to get two academic degrees, bachelors degree and Masters degree. The programs that they have are fit and cover your needs to be perfect presenter, listener, and also actor! Yes actor.. They have a program for that! Beside that, they have lots of entertainment programs such as road trip to NYC, Washington D.C, and Philadelphia so that you get a chance to travel around and explore new areas to get familiar with the American cultures and its style of life. Most importantly, this language institution had given me a chance to meet people from all over the world who I still talk to and keep in touch with and conside them as close and best friends. Your money, time and energy will not be wasted here. That is guaranteed. Just do it!

This institute, was one of the best experiences in my life. As all places where you go, it has some issues, such as some teachers aren´t good enough, but them are a few (yes, I had some trouble too) but mostly all the people who work there are very well prepared, nicely and ready to help you to improve your language. For me, it was a place to meet a new culture, new friends and improve my english. Only an advice... If you want a easy-way place to learn english, this is not your place. Here you are going to learn doing your homework, practicing with your friends, going to class and tutoring... It is a strict place with a lot of fun!

The worst language institute ever. They have no respect for their students at all. Some of their teachers are pretty good, but most of them arent. I remember one teacher wasted most of our classes time playing funny videos on Youtube, when I complained to their management and wanted to change that class, they were very rude and didnt change it, they never change any classes anyway. To top it off, their tuition is way more expensive than most of the language institutes around the U.S. STAY AWAY WHILE YOU CAN!!

The best way to achieve your personal goals in english, not just for its regular classes but also for the opportunity to take advantage of the whole facilities of the UD (conferences, club, volunteering, etc)

The best experience in my life !!! ELI still being my second home eventhough I was a stundent 7 years ago, everytime I pass by I feel at home and I want to study again !!! People is amazing teachers, staff, classmates and activities :) I had tons of fun, I made friends over the world who I have had the opportunity to visit in their countries !!! The English Language Institute from the University of Delaware, was the place where I finally learned english. Why? Because there, I fell in love with that language. It is a place that you are not limited to learn a new language, you improve as a human being as well. Everyone you meet at that place offers you support anytime with a smiley face. You have the chance to learn with people from different cultures and ages, in an environment that makes everyone feel confortable, and even with differences, we feel that we are all equals. You make friends for life! I did!I cant forget to mention the Director, incredible person, who looks at us and seems proud of each of our achievements.The classes....you dont get bored because their methods make you have fun studying. Oh, and you have the possibility to choose the theme of your classes. So fun!Besides all that, they give you a huge support to study at the University of Delaware, or even others.Also, the city where the Institute is located, called Newark, is such a safe place, but not only that....it simply makes you feel at home....I just call it, my Wonderland, simply love it.You are in a perfect city, and soooo close to others incredible ones, like Philadelphia, Baltimore, NYC, Washington DC, and so many others amazing places. And the Intitute offers us trips to those places!I just can say that the time I spent studying there was the best. I went there to study for the first time and had a second time. And would do that again, always improving and being proud to be their student.

Good and professional school. I dont realize this fact until I moved to other English school. Most of teacher have high education, they are very helpful and they know about the diificultes that will you faced, and they will guide you. Not only that, there are amazing tutors that will help you to improve speaking skill and every thing that you want after finish your classes.One of the best institutes ever, although I studied online because of the crown, and also my classes before Krona, and all of them were excellent. On the day I tried another institute, I felt the teams were all educated and had higher degrees and also spoke more than one language, meaning they knew the learners ’suffering in a language other than the mother tongue. In the tension of Special Assistant Professor for You after classes, and this in itself is rare, it was received by second institutes. These professors are available to you from 1 pm to 5 pm and I am not satisfied with what it is. You will not regret your choice and feel that way, unless you try a second institute and see the difference
