Ms Stephanie and her barn is the best out of all my barns. Ive been to 4 different stables in the past year and none of them or thier teaching is like ms stephanies. I started going here from her summer camp. I went to her camp only knowing how to walk, trot and somewhat tack up and left cantering, jumping, tacking(by myself) and lots more in just one week than i did in a year. Highly recomend.

We love riding at HCRA. My daughter has been riding here over a year. She started by being lead around on a rope to jumping over fences in only a few months. She has learned so much and she loves it. I chose this barn because the kids learn how to take care of the horses and not just ride. My daughter has learned a lot about responsibility and hard work. Another plus to this barn is the kids have the opportunity to join their IEA riding team. We love that she can take lessons AND have fun competing.

I have been at HCRA going on 2 years now and have had the pleasure of working with Coach Stephanie through the IEA program and the training my horse. When I came to Stephanie I could hardly even canter my horse around the arena without difficulty, but in less than a year she had us successfully and confidently competing in the 2’6 jumper ring! Not enough good things to say about the people and friendly environment of this barn! Absolutely love it!

Fantastic place for new and seasoned riders! Lots of one on one and group participation as well. Facility is accumulate and horses are well taken care of and loved! Instructs the students on all aspects of physical fitness and to think and act like athletes. Highly recommend!

A wonderful riding faculty for people of all levels.

There is always a welcoming and positive environment. I’ve been riding here for many years and am constantly learning new skills to put in my tool belt. At this barn, safety is a priority, while having a wonderful and instructional lesson. I highly recommend this riding barn for anyone interested in hunter/jumper!

Best trainer Ive had in my 13 years of riding! She is very friendly, amazing with young children and keeps riding fun! She wont force you into anything you feel uncomfortable doing, you dont have to go to shows if you prefer not to, and all the horses and ponies are happy, healthy and ready to teach lessons of their own. Many of the horses are rescues, as well as some of the students (from screaming, forceful trainers). The entire atmosphere is encouraging, welcoming and light-hearted. Were one big family, even students who leave for college come back as often as possible. Parents even join in a take lessons! My mother started riding at 46, four years ago, and she is already competing in 26 hunter divisions at A shows. This is the place to go if you love horses and having (productive) fun!

Group lessons have about 10 riders. The new students get to ride not even 20 minutes out of the whole one hour lesson. They sit there on the horse and watch while the instructor focuses on the rides who are preparing for competition. If you don’t want your kid to watch the better riders get most of the attention, this is not the place for you. It seems like this place focus too much on medals and not so much on one on one time with students.

This barn is amazing! I’ve been riding at HCRA for 11 years now. I never have a day at school that I don’t look forward to riding here. Mrs. Stephanie provides a great learning environment with fun and constructive criticism to make you the best you could possibly be. She has opened me up to so many friends that are my family. The team atmosphere of the barn is what make its so special, and there is truly NEVER any drama between riders. She is the best of the best, and will never push you to do something you are not ready for. The fun, safe, competitive atmosphere is what makes HCRA what it is. I highly recommend this barn to anyone of any age or expertise.

HCRA provides a friendly environment in which to learn how to ride or sharpen your existing riding skills, making sure you become both a great horseman and rider!

My 13 year old daughter started with Stephanie in January 2017. She has learned and improved beyond what she has learned the prior three years of riding. Stephanie is wonderful about encouraging her students and ensuring they adhere to high safety standards. The other students enjoy a strong camaraderie as do the parents. We are so blessed to finally have found HCRA!
