After 8 years at this gym, I can advise you to look elsewhere if your family is serious about gymnastics. Here your kid will suffer, as they are incredibly weak at developing gymnasts. They will blame your child but will not take any responsibility for their actions. If your child is not a favorite...they will suffer. It will be better to go to a gym with experienced coaches who themselves performed in the highest levels of the sport. I was forewarned by many, but ignored them and unfortunately took longer than I should have to remove my child from this gym. While I had great respect for the owner, she would not hold the coaches accountable for their actions. Since moving my daughter from this gym, she has moved up 2 levels and is enjoying a program designed to make her the best. 30 years in business wont matter, there are gyms out there with less years in business but developing their gymnasts to higher levels. Additionally if your child is 100% gymnastics with no other sport, you can guarantee your kid will not get the conditioning they need... and they will blame your child. Find a different place.

It is a great please for kids and teens to learn and have fun with gymnastics. It is a safe place to bring them and watch them grow.

Fun and friendly. I’ve really enjoyed taking my daughter here. The staff works so well with kids and they keep a close eye on them and take the time to assist each individual.

We have been coming to J and R since they reopened after the pandemic which was a switch from another gym we used to attend because we appreciated their policies and attention to detail related to the safety of all. The coaches go above and beyond to make my girls feel like they are getting special attention every class.

My 3 and 5 year old children attend gymnastics and we absolutely love it! Everyday they ask if it’s Wednesday because that’s gymnastics day. The coaches are wonderful, kind, and patient! I will always recommend them!

We have been with J&R New Braunfels since 2018 and have taken their Cheer and Gymnastics classes and love them. The coaches are compassionate with the kids, my daughter’s skills have really developed and they always feel and smell clean when we come in!

This is our first experience with gymnastics 🤸‍♀️, it has been amazing. This summer they were offering a deal to sign up for one class and you are able to go to as many classes (in your age group) that you want. With this being our first time we weren’t aware with what class we wanted or which instructor....I have found that all the instructors are amazing with the kids. So far we have tried dance, gymnastics and dance.

My daughter (5) has been coming here for about a month. While she’s no expert gymnast (yet) she’s learning how to follow instructions and to cheer on others as well as to be comfortable in trying new and challenging things. Instructors have been great so far and Saturday morning here is the thing my daughter most looks forward to each week.

We are new to the area and signed our daughter up at this gym based on a friends recommendation. Unfortunately, we withdrew her 3 classes in. Our daughter has been competing on the competitive level and after talking with the staff decided to try her in a level 2-3...(keeping into consideration that every state/gym is different). She was way more advanced than the other girls in her class and after communicating with her coach and other “experienced” staff members about moving her up a level and possibly trying out for their Competitive Team, I was told that she was a “low” level 3 and there was no room for her on their “Team.” We immediately withdrew her from J&R to try another gym. Thank goodness we did! Our new gym actually saw my daughters talent and worked with her based on her “actual” level! If you are wanting your child to advance with their current gymnastic ability, I would totally consider another gym.

Great place for my 5 year old to start ballet and my 7 year old to learn gymnastics. They are able to do classes at the same time, which is very helpful! Very patient and knowledgeable teachers as well.

My girls have been going to J&R for years and they absolutely love it! All the coaches and staff are wonderful and Robin sand John are very much involved in all special events at the gym. It’s clean and organized and I always know my babies will be safe there!

Small classes. I love that my son and daughter can take dance and kinder gym at the same time across the hall from each other.

My daughter loves her ballet/tap class with Ms. Maddie. They are very patient being she’s so little and very thorough. I look forward to what she’ll learn in the new year

My son has had his birthday party here for the past 2 years. We had his party there again today and we were not disappointed. The staff is always friendly and the kids have a blast. I can imagine we will have his party there a couple more times.

Great people! Great gym! We were visiting from out of town and our girls worked out with the level 7 team. It was an awesome experience! The coaching was top notch and the facility is very nice!We were only there for a few hours, but were treated like family. Thanks J&R Gymnastics!

Our girls have been going to j and r for years. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. Our girls definitely have shown advancement over the years. I highly Recommend bringing your kids to this establishment.

My daughter has been going here as a competitive gymnast for the past 3 months. After switching gyms, first switch in her career, I can honestly say that she is happier and more excited about gymnastics. Shes getting new skills and is being pushed in such a positive manner.

Wonderful activiyies for the kids

My 5-year-old son absolutely loves Coach Austin and J&R gymnastics. He is a high-energy kid and this is the perfect environment to get out energy, while also learning balance, following directions, and teamwork! He looks forward to it every week!

We take our 2 year old to the free time on Friday mornings and he has a ball!!!! The staff is always so great and such a great place for our kiddo to run around and get rid of some energy. He especially loves the foam pit. Thank you guys for always making us feel welcome.

My sisters and I came to gymnastics here as children and now my daughters do, they love their couches and dance instructors.

I personally think this place is great. Im working on getting my daughter signed up. Only thing I might suggest is better monitoring system of the front doors on Friday fun night. Im a very protective mother (sometimes too much but oh well) I left my kids there (8 and 6) for literally 15 minutes to go get dinner at chicken express and as I was unloading the baby and getting my food ready to go in and head upstairs my son came walking up behind me in the parking lot. This means no one was watching the doors. Im not trying to raise a stink but Ive heard other parents raise concerns about leaving their 5 year old etc to the staff and they always say we watch the doors. I have been their twice. The first night yes someone was always at the desk watching the door that was a 7 to 9 fun night but tonights was a 7 to 11 fun night, there was a good 50 maybe 100 kids there tonight and not once did I see someone watching the door. That just threw the idea of ever leaving my kids there without me or the window.

Military family, so thankful to find a gym that immediately welcomed the girls! Absolutely love the coaching staff!

Our son 8 has been coming here 3+ years and loves the coaches here. He gets sad when he moves levels and gets a new coach but then learns who the new coach is and loves them just as much or more.

Have always enjoyed the events our granddaughters participate in, here at this amazing place!!Great job staff!

Just moved to Texas, interested in this gym amd my girls have been in gymnastics awhile, I asked if they do a free trial class, I want to check out instructors and make sure they r in the right level class b4 signing up but they said they dont offer it. So....looking for another gym...still...I dont think thats right having to pay for registration for 2 kids and sign up for classes then have to put in a 30 day notice if the coaches and kids dont click or its not what u like. Its hard to pick a gym, afterall im not using it as a daycare. So unless that changes, this is getting rated a 1 star for poor customer service.
