You just have to visit this school to appreciate how wonderful it is. Students are encouraged to try anything and everything in and out of the classroom—even things with which they might not feel immediately comfortable. One of their main philosophies is that merely summoning the courage to try out for a team or speak in front of a group or any number of other leadership-type activities, is vital to building confidence. And I could sure tell that confidence was in evidence when a first grader came to greet me at the door of her classroom. She then proceeded to tell me what they were doing in class. The same thing happened when I got to fourth grade. It was wonderful. The new iLab for incorporating design thinking and participating in hands-on programming and other STEM-based teaching is fabulous. The array of extracurricular opportunities at Harding is also impressive. And as a working mom, knowing my children can go to school for early care and then stay until Im able to pick them up after work is a real plus.

We love Harding Academy, a private elementary school in Nashville, TN. It has a critical balance of being academically challenging and extremely nurturing to get the best out of each child. From our first day in Kindergarten, my child has been welcomed by middle school students walking her to class and faculty already knowing her name. She has discovered unexpected interests and talents especially in the special areas and leadership development from the start. We are so lucky to be a part of Harding Academy with its amazing faculty, community code for values, and a strong academic program.

Harding Academy is an exceptional K-8 private school and has been the perfect fit for our children and also our family. They create the critical balance of challenging my boys but doing so in a nurturing and caring environment. The faculty knows the children individually and works with them to meet their needs at each grade level. They are developing children that are self-assured, responsible and well-prepared leaders.

Harding Academy is an outstanding private elementary school. It strikes a balance between being academically challenging but also nurturing. It offers countless opportunities to develop leadership skills and critical thinking. For a relatively small school, it also offers a wealth of opportunities in the arts, athletics, technology, and after school enrichment programs. The school abides strongly by its Community Code of values. We think the prek through eight experience here is unparalleled in Nashville and we are so impressed with the leadership opportunities offered for middle schoolers. We have been delighted with the faculty. Our children have blossomed, each in their own way, and we cant think of a better school in Nashville.
